go ahead how’s uh the first couple days of training camp going for you they’ve been good we just been learning a lot especially teaching the young guys like Rob Terrence just just picking up the pace just teaching them our terminology but isn’t good though coaching staff has kind of said the last couple days that you’re going to have every opportunity to make your mark on the summer league roster what does making your mark look like to you uh to me it’s just getting everybody better especially teaching Rob since I’m older than him been in the league longer just teaching him how to be a point guard and just just making everybody on the court better you know you are one of the older players on this roster what’s it like being kind of the veteran on the summer league team I am I am I didn’t know that you’re in the I’d say you’re in the top maybe not the top half but there’s probably a good four or five people younger than you out there damn I didn’t even know that I thought I was still one of the young ones I mean but I feel like a young guy but at the same time I’ve been in the league this my fourth year so like I understand what the coaches want what they want on defense what they want on offense it’s just helping the young guys since I’m one of the older guys just helping the young guys just to to keep in their mind what the coaches want to see what was that experience like being on the woles roster last year I know you didn’t get to play probably as much as you’d like to but still accompanying them to that Western Conference Finals what did you learn and gain from that uh the whole season I learned a lot especially from Mike Conley the the vet he owed he got a lot he taught us a lot especially myself being being a point guard just controlling the game and then nil coming in being a backup point guard just playing defense could you speak on kind of what that relationship with Mike Conley was specifically like where he taught you or maybe a story of how you guys have grown together Mike Cony probably my favorite teammate like he’s always teaching us something new every single day especially myself because I talked to him a lot since I’m a young guy he a old guy and I’m a point guard it’s just he basically just told me just or taught me how to like make everybody on the court better just put them in position where they want to Excel instead of show everybody their weakness uh what have you noticed out of the rookies Shannon Dillingham so far in Camp that they that they NBA ready I say that they ready that’s about it and then I got to ask you made a lot of waves last year with pointing at at people after they got dunked you mind just sharing a little bit about that and kind of where that came from with the team honestly I honestly first did that in Houston when I was in Houston two years ago so I started it there I probably did it once or twice and then I brought it to Minnesota and just I just kept on doing it I don’t know it’s just something about me I just wanted to do it thanks appreciate you
