taking on the Lakers bronny James getting ready to go first quarter Dalton finds the cutting James for the reverse layup I like that right there that’s what he can do cut without the basketball finish second cuz D connect he’s been a really fun guy to watch I know they drafted this guy to be a really good offensive compliment to both ad and LeBron what have you seen from him so far through a couple games well I think DOL ket’s going to fit in well I watched a lot of him in the SEC obviously SEC play of the year and he’s one of those guys that can get it done all over the court he can play with the basketball without it he just understands how to score right here reads the defense goes to the open area knocks down the triple now you’re going to see him bring the ball up he can do that too if you try to pressure him you reach I teach quick spin move he’s a big body B in there you see him get my boy out the way for the an one now once again Watch what he’s able to do he gets out there he’s first quarter which is pretty incredible and he signed you know the $8.4 million deal over four years with the Lakers so he’s feeling pretty good and also you want to know something funny about him connect can to be a really great addition to this Lakers team let’s get into bronnie for a second too because obviously offensively that’s not where he’s been going he only had three points took three shots on the night but defensively he really did stand out a little bit and I feel like that’s what we need to focus on for him he’s putting in that work ethic what have you seen from bronny now through a couple games in summer league so far well that’s always been his calling card he’s not um a score by Nature he’s not a guy that’s even really a playmaker what he does is he plays hard he plays with hard with high IQ and if he’s going to make a name in this league for himself what he’s going to have to do is continue to play like that play defense and then as his defense gets him on the then he starts becoming a shot maker whether it be from the top of the key in the corner and then he can become a guy that def that coaches can trust if I’m bronie right now my ideal model player that I would be looking to try to emulate would be somebody like a Bruce Brown okay or a Lou Dort guys that didn’t come into this league based as known as Shooters they were known as hustle guys glue guys and then they turned that around as they got on the court because of their defense then they up their offensive game and they were able to stay out there on the court and they’re really high level players now yeah even though bronnie only had three points he had three blocks two steals finished a plus eight also had five rebounds and three assists so he’s getting it done like he said on didn’t really shock me because when you look at the way the season ended for Kawai obviously not being healthy yet again and then trying to train get ready that quick turnaround and then play a full summer of USA Basketball it just didn’t seem like it was really likely it seemed like this would be the likely outcome Kawai Pro is probably better served um rehabbing focusing on next season and try to be the best basketball he player he can be for the clippers because we know what type of player he is when healthy but for the last couple of Seasons he has not be able been able to finish that way so um I thought this was going to be the outcome I was really surprised that he was even out there practicing at all like I said based on the fact that he wasn’t available for the Clippers at the end of the season yeah he missed 12 of the last 14 regular season games which is pretty crazy but a lot of you know the Clippers organization and USA Basketball worked together to make this decision because kawhai didn’t even know if he’d be able to go until about two weeks ago when he said he’s been working hard for the last couple months his knees feeling better but you know he’s focusing on the next season and that’s what the Clippers want him to do now they add Dereck white to the team who just signed that four-year extension he’s feeling good what do you feel about that addition to this USA men’s basketball team I mean I think Derrick White definitely fits in I mean he’s the three and D guy we saw the elite level defense he was playing in the NBA finals against guys like Luca and Kyrie he’s going to help USA tremendously um just because he’s not going to care about getting shots he’ll defer that at any time but then he’ll go out there and take the toughest matchups he’ll make the hustle plays he’ll get in the passing Lane chase down blocks I love everything about Derek white game yeah and you take a look at the 2024 you US men’s Olympic roster lot of good names on
