Chicago Bulls Rumors: Hornets INTERESTED In Zach LaVine via Bleacher Report + Torrey Craig Trade?

[Music] what’s up Bulls fans welcome into the Bulls report my name is Patrick seatman and coming up on today’s show I wanted to go over two Blockbuster trades that bleach report actually put out surrounding the Chicago Bulls they listed one trade that each team needs to make before the season starts and they had two trade ideas for the Chicago Bulls so could our tourist get active we’ll talk about that in a second but first off guys I was looking at some analytics across chat sports and I saw our Celtics Today’s Show got 371 likes on their last video can we please please beat that I actually sit right next to our Celtics today host uh here in the chat sports Studios so hey a little competition here if you guys want to help us blow that number out of the water I put the goal on today’s video at 400 likes and I know my Bulls fans got our backs here at the bull support so hit that thumbs up icon and let’s talk some hoops so the first trade idea that they put out there um or that they put out there was the Bulls trading Zack line of course you knew you knew this was going to be the deal and then it had the Bulls receiving Grant Williams Cody Martin vasile meich and then also a 2027 second round pick I’ll give you guys my thoughts on this trade here in a second but let’s kick it to bleach report and see what they had to say they said would the Bulls who per uh Casey Johnson were once asking for All-Star level Talent first round picks or both come down this low that’s debat that’s debatable still one could argue that unloading LaVine without sacrificing an asset to do so might be a win itself which I agree given his injury history giant contract and lack of Team success Beyond getting out from the mountain of money LaVine is Ed Chicago would also pair um would find a pair of plug-and-play front Court role players in Williams and Martin a crafty playmaker in meich and the more favorable 2027 second round pick from both teams with uncertain Futures now my take around the zakov Saga with the Chicago Bulls because I’ve seen this uh idea floated out there countless times that the Bulls should just keep a on this roster have him up his trade value and then trade him at the trade deadline I think this is incredibly risky and now I’m in the camp that I think Chicago they should try to deal him right now for whatever the cost may be of course I am not in the camp that the bullers should attach you know their first round pick but what about the Portland Trailblazers uh pick that we have next season which is Lottery protected probably won’t convey I would attach that onto a Zack oine trade just to move off his contract but I do believe it is incredibly risky for the Bulls to roll into this season with Zack line still on the roster I just think it’s time to move on at any means possible but let’s talk about Grant Williams here is he is the main piece that the Bulls you know are getting this trade and Grant Williams has at an up and down stretch in his NBA career he was great with the Boston Celtics for a number of years when went to the Dallas Mavericks this offseason really couldn’t find his you know footing in that rotation but then once he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets he really got back on track and he averaged 14 points a game in the last 30 games of the Season 5.1 rebounds 3.2 assists and was very efficient as well making 50% of his field goals and shooting again 37.3% from downtown you may be asking why would the Bulls have a need for Grant Williams well I think this would be a great pickup you know one we can talk about the encour impact for the Bulls and you know I think just having another floor spacer having a physical Defender a guy that’s going to add a sense of swagger to this team I think the Bulls need that and also a guy like Grant Williams you could move him at the deadline for possibly a first round pick like he is that type of role player where a contending team once this season gets going and let’s just say they just need one more 3 and D guy to get them over the top I could see the Bulls then facilitating him with uh to another team once that trade deadline comes around so I would be all in on acquiring Grant Williams you you can run him for the first couple of months of the Season maybe deal him at the deadline you could possibly get another first round pick um for the forward but the other two guys the Bulls are getting in this trade Martin and misic um big fans of both these guys obviously Cody Martin not the most efficient basketball player this past season but he plays hard he plays with 110% effort and I just would again I would like him on the Bulls as you know he could be a guy you could uh delegate at the trade deadline to another team as just you know a guy off the bench who’s going to going to come in play really hard defense and just you know give it his all out there on the court but a guy I actually like a lot is meich um was looking at a couple of his highlights um from his days when he was playing overseas this dude has a super smooth jump shot even though he did only shoot 28% from downtown I just think that had to do more with the Hornets offense and just him not really getting a ton of open looks from the three-point uh department but you know shot 43% this past season average seven uh points per game and four and a half assists I thought he had a great year for the Hornets and I think he be a really strong backup guard option you know behind Josh giddy even though I would prefer to have a different archetype of guard as misin giddy are very similar but he’s a winning basketball player and I think he would be a great pickup for the Bulls and listen you may be saying why would the Hornets want LaVine whatsoever well I actually like what the Hornets did this off season and you know you can make the argument where a you know a starting three at the one two and three spot on your unit of lamelo ball Zack aine Brandon Miller you got Mark Williams at the five like that Hornets team could contend for the play in and you know I think when we talk about the Zack ofen Saga right now with the bows like we need to consider the fact that I have no idea what type of team is going to trade for LaVine like could it be a team like the Hornets or Pistons that maybe view LaVine as a team that could get or view him as a player that could get them back in the playoffs or maybe a team like the Lakers could view LaVine as a guy to get them over the top and get them back into contention but but if this is the trade that goes down I would be thrilled about it I think this would be a massive win for the Chicago Bulls again like all three of these players you are receiving you could deal them in another trade you know once the trade deadline you know does come around you know uh Midway through next season and plus I don’t uh hate the Bulls getting more draft Capital that they could you know potentially use to help move off a guy like nicoa vuich but even if this is a deal and the Bulls had to attach uh the two second round picks you know that they got from the Kings you remove that second round pick I think I would do that as well but you guys let me know maybe I’m putting too much stock into guys like Grant Williams Cody Martin and meich but would you accept this trade or if you’re a Hornets fan let me know your thoughts as well give me an a for accept or a d for decline down in the comments section now the next trade that Bach report floated out and this is for um the Minnesota Timberwolves and they had the Timberwolves trading for Tory Craig and the Bulls would receive Leonard Miller now I’ll say this this would be an absolute fleece by the Chicago Bulls if they could somehow pull this off like I would be jumping for joy here on the channel main reason I’m a huge fan of Leonard Miller super athletic has all types of potential and yes you know you got your concerns of his jump shot of his handle ability but he could be a really solid fourman at um at that position in the NBA if he could add on some more you know physicality to his game I think that’s where he’s going to really take that next step maybe he tries to shift into that Aaron Gordon archetype of player where I think he would be extremely valuable but a great great um um just a great great play finisher great athlete and you the Bulls could just get another young guy who has already seen some development you know in the G League this past season and playing uh you know obviously in very limited action with the Timberwolves I think this would be a fleece by the Bulls but why would the Timberwolves even considering trading Leonard Miller for Tory Craig this what bleach report had to say the Timberwolves have some of the League’s best top end Talent around that Talent cost a pretty penny though which has made this roster a bit topheavy and created a situation which this win now team could be heavily reliant on unproven youth if that strategy seems too risky for the decision makers they could deal some of that youth for a proven contributor like Craig Miller’s upside is immediately enticing but potential won’t help next season wolves chase the title Craig’s defensive versatility experience and perimeter shooting might though and listen I understand the thought from Bleach report like that makes a lot of sense like where the timberos are at right now with Aunt cat and goar they you know view their window as the next two to three seasons so maybe they’re looking at Tory Craig as just a player that’s going to help them get better on the margins have another Wing 3 andd guy next to Jaden McDaniels next to nikil Alexander Walker you had Tory Craig in that Bunch you just have more ammunition you know to help this team take that next step so I understand what bleacher Port is saying but the Timberwolves love Leonard Miller I’m pretty tapped in um you know with the Minnesota side of things as you know I Do cover the Viking here as well at Chad Sports so I see a lot of Timberwolves talk on my timeline and they love this guy I really doubt they’re going to you know want to move off him especially for a guy like Tory Craig it’s not like he is the most you know elite elite 3 and D Talent we have in the league but maybe they decide just get more of a win out piece instead of you know banking on one of your young guys taking the next step also we’ll make this point about them drafting Dillingham like are you going to have your bench be a bunch of 20 19 year olds when you’re going in the Eastern Conference semi-finals Eastern Conference finals against a veteran team like Dallas or also like a um you know even though the Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t a veteran team at this point but they got a lot of guys who have been there and done it in the league so listen I think this would be a great move for the Bulls um don’t know if the Timberwolves would do it but why lonard Miller why am I so high on this guy because you know I think his archetype is extremely valuable in the league right now um those like big body super you know Rim pressuring athletes that’s what Leonard Miller is and you know if he could just be a guy the Bulls Barry on the bench add another Young Piece to this youth movement I think it would be a great great pickup for Chicago now you know the question is like would he be able to develop with the bulls you know since you already have a ton of young Talent you got Kobe you got iio you got uh Patrick Williams obviously Josh giddy Jaylen Smith like you have a lot of these young guys and I you know I say so much here on the channel is like what was the biggest reason why I and Kobe white took those leaps it was because Zack oen went out and it wasn’t because because yes I like all their offseason work matters all their reps that they do in the offseason that contributes to winning as well but you know the biggest reason why I believe they took that step was because when LaVine got hurt we saw Kobe white you know his shots per game went up he had the ball in his hands more often and you know with the bulls like that’s why I’m so adamant on them moving off Zack O that’s why like even though dear was great for Chicago I was happy they got rid of them because I’m hoping that opens up more shots for a guy like Patrick Williams and even like newis acquired uh Chicago Bulls member jayen Smith I want to see him running 30 35 minutes a game at that Center position so we more reason to move off V I just think we are two moves away from me really getting excited for this Bulls basketball team it is trading Nicole vuvi and is trading Zack aine you do it by any means you’re not going to win a lot of games next season but what would be the worst possible outcome for the Bulls this upcoming year you keep Bine on the roster you keep Nicole vuvi and let’s just say they go 500 before next year NBA trade deadline and they decide we’re going to try to compete for the playoffs and then you try to compete you lose your first round pick that conveys to the San Antonio Spurs that would be a disaster for the Bulls because you would still be an NBA Purgatory I love what the Bulls have done this off season but you still just need a couple more moves to you know really finalize this rebuild and this youth movement
