Why Zach Edey Is The FUTURE of the Memphis Grizzlies

Why Zach Edey Is The FUTURE of the Memphis Grizzlies

this video is brought to you by bet us Sportsbook and casino well it seems like Zack Edy is too good for the summer league he only played in one game but that was enough for the Grizzlies because he sat out the rest of the Utah showcase now I’m sure we will see him over the weekend in Vegas but does he have to play he dominated against an NBA rotational Center Walker Kessler had 14 points 15 rebounds four blocks in that one appearance you felt his in impact both defensively and offensively in a multitude of ways let me tell you this is all Ed has to master to have a role in the NBA immediately luckily screen setting is already one of the positives coming into the league for him look at him delete the opponent for his guard this is hilarious look at where the defender is compared to the ball handler I mean it’s game over easy jumper as a result job Morant actually reposted this exact clip on his Twitter page he knows these screens from Edy are going to open up some of the easiest driving Lanes of his entire career man oh man if Zach Ed can figure out how to set screens like this at the NBA level watch out he’s going to be playing for a long long time and we saw glimpses of the rim protector he can be his teammate gets screened out of the play so now he has to help on unfortunately he runs into a highway screen from Walker Kesler but Edy is listed at 300 lb he simply is not going to feel that he says get the fluff out of the way and then the 7′ 10 wingspan takes over great timing on that block as well it’s very simple Edy has generational size I mean look at him box out Kesler there’s just nothing you can do he just eats rebounds immediately off the rim Edy is is going to have a role in the NBA right away immediately in his rookie season and one of his criticisms from the naysayers is he can’t keep up with the pace of the NBA he’s not fast enough he’s too slow he doesn’t have the stamina however here we see different results he’s ahead of his teammate who rebounded he’s in a foot race with number 21 who stays on the perimeter the opposing Center is still getting up the court as Ed has parked in the lane from for the easy two and let me tell you when he sets his mind to it good luck keeping him off the offensive glass he’s diving to the rim as the shot goes up one on Three situation for the rebound tip from Edy results in an extra possession and then we saw on the foul line to tie the game to get it to overtime he just pushes Walker Kessler into the basket off the court to tie up the game and let me tell you this is how you play Drop cover this is how you execute it he takes away the guard forces the pass to help out his teammate don’t worry he’s eating up that space to recover on his original guy and then look at the textbook contest as straight as can be Zack Ed was deterring shots at The Rim all night long even had possessions where he forced to pass and then contested a shot immediately after showcasing his size length and positioning skills in the process he’s going to roll to the basket and seal and when he receives the pass this deep good luck Wonder drible spin move hook shot with the left hand he really has a elite touch for a big guy one dribble but this time he elects to go with the right hand I think those who were sleeping on him were too focused on him being the guy offensively at Purdue at the NBA level that just isn’t going to be the case that’s not going to be his role he’s basically going to have zero off of responsibility besides play finishing and then sealing guys and hook shotting every now and again which means at 7 fo4 710 wingspan 300 lb he can focus all of his energy into the little things like perfecting screening grabbing rebounds protecting the rim that’s all he needs to do that’s all he needs to focus on and whatever else you get from him that is is the icing on the cake and with his gifts his stature he can be the best in the league at those categories he can be the best screener he can be the best rebounder he can be be the best offensive rebound you get what I’m saying and it’s pretty funny it’s pretty crazy how he was one of the most disrespected draft prospects but all the sudden now on bet you as the sponsor of this channel he’s tied for the best odds to win rookie of the year plus 600 Count Me In I’m putting down 50 to win 300 click the link below make a bet with me make this bet with me I mean come on easy money I appreciate it plus new customers get 125% deposit bonus on the first three deposits how can you B that up link below thank you but that’s all I got let me know what you think of Zach Edy are you impressed do you think he’s going to be a bust let me know all that good stuff in the comment section below and if you enjoyed at any point leave a like And subscribe check out my other videos if you got time most importantly have yourself a great day and peace out

  1. Everyone knew he was a sure bet, even before this game he was expected to be top 3 in ROY candidates

  2. The most important is he is reliable and huge potential to improve, pls note he touched basket ball at 16, and mem need to build team around him instead of ja

  3. stupid peopleeverywhere to say edey is slow, if you really watch him on court of boiler, you will know if you run wild bigstep and do whatever shaq move, he will terminate some small players career by hurting them since he is too heavy strong and fast.

  4. I was surprised at Edey's speed. He looks like he is moving slow but his strides are so huge its misleading. He will fit in the NBA no problem.

  5. Bro, he can keep up with people in summer league but 90% of them are barely NBA players. He’s not fast enough for the NBA. I might be wrong but that’s just what I think.

  6. Do people realize summer league rosters are a bunch of bench warmers and people who will never play one second in the NBA?

We’re really glazing Edey for playing well against these types of players?

  7. Edey has got to pace himself. Hope his knees and ankles hold up. Kessler is the real deal and Zack handled him well.
