said we’re talking all things Jonathan kaminga what is the ceiling for JK could he be a superstar are we talking an All-Star could he realistically be like the number one option in the true future of this organization what are realistic expectations for him coming up to his fourth year in the NBA and with this Warriors organization then finally will the dubs be able to extend him as we’ve just seen the Orlando Magic offer France Vagner a huge contract is that comparable to what JK is going to be looking at on today’s show I am joined by the great Aaron Wilson of cron TV and I’m your host kylin Mills a playby play broadcaster and host for the Big 10 Network NBC Sports Bara and others Aaron you just went on a beautiful vacation you’re back just in time for all the chaos that is the Dub’s off season how are you good how are you I mean it is chaotic right now uh we are in the thick of things when it comes to free agency and we are just waiting on the edges of our seats to see what happens next I know now I just feel like we’re in like Lowry Markin and watch like day whatever because he’s the big Target who reportedly the Warriors have been making serious offers around I know there’s some other names like Brandon Ingram some others who are still available but he’s the one a lot of folks want he’s the person who’s been in a lot of reports in terms of the Warriors making offers so it’s like is that going to happen is someone else going to be brought in as a consistent secondary scorer we’ll just have to see but today we’re talking all things Jonathan kaminga because I think he in a lot of ways has the power to take this Warriors team to the next level not just this season but the future as well could he really be a huge star could he be a superstar an Allstar like where do we think the ceiling is and then again we’re going to talk about how big of a jump he should make this year one reason why I wanted to bring this up is because a lot of people wanted to see the dubs bring Paul George into the organization but that was said to be the big sticking point is that the warriors were pushing back on moving Jonathan kaminga and that’s what the Clippers were asking for so it begs the question like are the Warriors overvaluing Jonathan kaminga do we really see his potential to be a superstar that’s my first question for you Erin what do you think the ceiling is for JK like are we talking Superstar are we talking Fringe Allstar are we talking great role player at his position I think that definitely he he reaches past being just a role player I think it all determines it will all be determined rather with this coming season well we can really get a good look at what he has the Silling to be in this and what his potential will read as him as a player for the rest of the season or for the rest of his career but I don’t know I I saw Jonathan kaminga perform last season and even with the inconsistency of how he was being played early on he showed that he needed to be out there on the floor and I feel like it shows how much they valued him throughout this free agency that they see more in him that maybe we haven’t gotten a chance to see just yet because we haven’t gotten to see him just completely in one role for a complete season knowing that he is going to be doing this for this team in this lineup with this roster you know and I just think with what he was able to do last year I believe I wrote down he averaged 26 minutes 16 points he was 57% from the field 32 from three now obviously he could be better from three and he could be a little bit more aggressive on the defensive end to really solidify what he could do but I think that the ceiling is pretty high for this guy I think think that one if he continues to put in the work and he has a big jump if we see a big jump in the production that has paid off for the work that he’s done in the offseason he could be the future of the Warriors I don’t think it was a good I think it was rather a blessing and a curse that they couldn’t get Paul George because um Paul George obviously is a little bit older Jonathan kaminga younger the ceilling higher and you would almost be similar to the Chris Paul move that they made this past season where it’s like we want to win a championship right now and if you ask me right now with what they the moves that they’ve made I don’t know that this year is the year for a championship either so if it’s like a right now thing I think that no Paul George should not have come I think the right now thing is not we need to focus on it’s actually kind of like how many years do we have left with Steph and how can we build around him in the next few years with younger guys to actually put them in a position to win a championship before Steph leaves or before he’s done I’m on the p of I think the Warriors should go all in on trying to maximize Steph Curry while you have him you’re talking about a generational Talent like a once in a lifetime type of athlete three-point shooter like you’ve got to mortgage some of the future like at least we’re talking about trading and things like that like I understand maybe feel like Jonathan King is a future Superstar but like I feel like you’ve gota be able to go be willing to sacrifice something to maximize stuff like something’s gonna have to give you can’t keep all of the youth all of the pic but then also build a championship roster I just like it’s not physically possible it’s not possible based on the salary cap you know what I’m saying I do I actually do know what you’re saying and to me instead of Paul George when I was looking going through just the free agency and the targets that were available I don’t know what was going on with the cotwell Pope trade but I just kind of thought you know depending on he obviously went to Orlando right for 66 Mill and the Warriors have moved for Buddy Heil to come in car Anderson to come in a couple others to add on DeAnthony Milton and so I’m just thinking like what was it that was cwell Pope never in the conversation if we want to right now maximize Steph Curry with the fact that he is an efficient scorer that he is an officient Defender is that not someone that would have helped the War I mean I don’t really have the answer to that question but I just thought about it I was like could he have not helped the Warriors to kind of have some right now success that they wanted to make a move it’s a fair point it’s a very fair point um going back to Jonathan kaminga it’s clear that this organization wants to hold on to him because he’s a part of that future they don’t feel like they can sacrifice to remind folks kaminga is only 21 years old which I think is easy to forget 67 225 and to me what stands out in terms of his potential is the generational athleticism you see the explosion ability to get Above the Rim brilliant in open coure I think that he’s a good feel for the game in terms of being a cutter and being able able to get to the rim finish around the rim has that Elite quick T twitch quick twitch muscle that you can see like he can change directions quickly and like those are the things that you can’t teach now the question for me is can Jonathan kaminga get the skills to match up with the athleticism because that’s where I see the biggest room for improvement in addition to some of the basketball IQ things I do think defensively we still do see some lapses but in general like perimeter skills passing ability outside shop making which is something you pointed out there’s room for improvement in all of those categories but if you look at the athleticism and if he can learn and improve on the skill set side like we could be looking at a superstar definitely an All-Star caliber player but how easy is it to get all those things to come along like I don’t know does he really have a ceiling of a Jaylen brown or of a Kawhi Leonard which are some different players that have been compared to Jonathan kaminga at least kinga’s potential I’m still coming up a little bit short of saying that he definit or I feel confident that he could get to the level of either of those two players but like I did think we saw the mid-range game the pull-ups start to develop a couple times this past season but I still just feel like it’s the skill set that needs to come along with what we already know and the athleticism being generational like next level there are few athletes I’m going to say even across the NBA that have what he has I agree with you totally and everything you just said when it comes to him it is like the skill set and IQ thing that needs to grow but I will say this is probably the best place for him to be in order to polish up on those things because he’s around some really high IQ veterans that are still playing at a high level and so if I find myself comfortable on this roster where now I know my role because I am a role player in this moment but I can see that they’re kind of stair stepping me up to actually be a Bonafide option on this roster then if I just focus on learning how to do this and this better polish up on having an IQ better pass uh better pass options obviously or better passing decisions and then I better my shot kind of like John Morant when he was in his first two seasons with the war warriors with the Grizzlies he couldn’t shoot and he saw that okay I can be a threat by attacking the rim but I need to learn how to play Under The Rim as well if I’m going to have some longevity in my career because of injury or whatever whatever and he came back that third season and he was not necessarily A Bonafide shooter but he was a threat from the outside much more that season than he was the two years prior so it’s kind of I see the same type of upside with Jonathan kaminga if he can now be solidified in the fact that I have a place on this role this team is definitely prioritizing me because I have been the reason why certain deals didn’t go down in this free agency uh off season then maybe just maybe I am what they need and if I can fix this little thing about my game and this little thing about my game not only can I be an All-Star not only can I be a superstar but I can continue the success with this um team that I’ve been on once the the the era that we are in now you know passes and I think that he has that potential I really do like you said he’s athletic he loves to Wolf as I think I’ve mentioned before with you like he loves to be the one getting out and getting the bunnies on the other end when no one’s back because of a nice defensive play of steal or a long rebound so I think that he has the opportunity to do all the things you just said but he really has to focus on that and I think this season is where we will be able to see if he prioritized that in the off season or if he didn’t and I think that will be the deciding factor to his future with the Warriors when we’re talking money and when we’re talking placement does he is he a role player or is he a Bonafide second option while Steph is there and a first option at some point I like a lot of the points that you brought up there have been some videos of JK working out in the offseason where you definitely saw him shooting the three ball so I’m like Yay try to get those numbers up 32% from Beyond The Arc this past season he was 37 % honestly at about the same volume the year prior so like I feel like he has it in him his shot doesn’t look broken to me where you think that he can fix it and try to get those numbers up like I think it’s possible um so it’ll be very interesting to see exactly what he was able to hone in on in the off season I also really think it’s interesting the point you made about whether him not getting traded will give him an extra boost of confidence that that’s how much this organization values him because one thing I will say that I feel like has hampered Jonathan kaminga and I want to get your opinion on this coming coming up is the management by Steve Kerr and I’m not trying to like totally dig into Steve Kerr here but I do want to be realistic in saying that I do feel like he could have managed the minutes better for some of the youngsters to allow them to develop these past two seasons because at the end of the day the warriors were playing team this last year I’m glad JK got more opportunities the year prior they ended up not making it out of the second round and there were times throughout the regular season where they were 500 but also not playing the youngsters consistently so that’s to me where I got frust at because I’m like hey at least allow the youth to develop give them some longer run because a lot of the things we’re talking about improvements come by doing it in game and you can do everything you want in the off season but at the same time when you don’t have confidence because your coach is yanking you really quickly after you make a mistake you know how that feels as an athlete right Ain if you’re not watching and you’re listening Aon just gave like the look but it does affect the way you play the game when you don’t feel like you have a longer leash and you’re not giving opport unities given opportunities to work through some of those issues and I feel like that has affected Jonathan kaminga and I feel like it’s a fair thing to say yeah I agree completely on everything you just said I feel like this past year for Steve CT on down to the very bottom player on the roster was like a soul searching year for the Warriors it seemed like they were always turning their wheels trying to figure out one thing or the other if it wasn’t team chemistry it was a roster lineup if it wasn’t lineups it was who’s going coming back from injury at this point and who how do we keep this one on the floor well we can’t keep this one on the floor because now he says it was so many things that it was like a revolving door of unanswered questions that it seemed like they were turning their Wills to try and find the the the solutions to and they just didn’t come with a whole heap of other things that happened of course that just made this a really tough season for everyone I mean we could talk about clay we could talk about them losing their coach we it’s so many other things that just were fact into just mentally a draining year and a draining season for the Warriors and I think that played a part in the inconsistency with who Steve Kerr had confidence in keeping on the floor and when they should stay on the floor I feel like there were some games where it was obvious like why did you take him out and then there were other games where it was obvious like why aren’t you taking him out you know because he just isn’t there this day whether it was Moses moody or Jonathan kaminga whether it was um Klay Thompson whether just it was so many different times where it just seemed like they just didn’t have it figured out this year especially not as figured out as they’ve had it in years past and yes I I’m hoping that my big hope for this season is that if nothing else if if they don’t make any more moves in free agency and they go with what they have that they at least go with what they know like we know that this guy can play this role and we know that this is going to be our starting five from beginning to end we know that unless injury you know causes something to change that these will be our starting five this is our unit with a few switching here and out in the second unit you get what I’m saying I’m just hoping that where that is where Steve CT is this year and I think now he got the contract situation behind him he has resigned he will be there I feel like there are a lot more answered questions headed into this season I think the biggest question though is just can this roster come together and actually produce with with what the moves that they’ve made and the moves that have been made um away from the team so that’s I feel like Jonathan kaminga if no one comes in with confidence I feel he should come in with the a world of confidence because he has literally been the this the talking point on if they get this guy we want kaminga if you want this deal we want kaminga and the Warriors have stood on their Hill of you’re not getting kaminga and if anybody should be confident about that I feel like it’s nothing better than knowing that your job wants you to stay and you are that that yep that piece that just cannot be removed like we need this young guy and then he’s young and athletic as well like you mentioned I feel like if anybody comes in with confidence it’s him and if that persists he can be a Bonafide secondary option and everyone else can just play their role Shooters can shoot Defenders can defend and everyone get their you know little buckets here and there when they’re offered to them if they can do that I think they could have a strong SE season now how strong That season last I’m not sure but I do think that they could at least have a season that does not resemble the season that they’re coming out of you’re very optimistic and I like that and I’m hoping with no more moves they can have a strong season but I want to talk more about Jonathan kinga’s role in year four in just a moment coming [Music] up it’s that time of year folks like to get out and enjoy a baseball game I myself and included in that growing up in the Chicago area I remember going to Wrigley Field with Dad as a kid to watch clubs games one of the most fun today last minute tickets lowest price [Music] guarantee so now this leads into the question as we’re talking about what realistic expectations are for the Warriors as a whole in this upcoming season I like the moves I respect the front office getting creative to bring in different players without spending a ton of money unfortunately you know it is sad to see Klay Thompson go onto the Mavs but not the player he was pre-injury um and I think that we can still look ahead and be hopeful about a lot of these young players like Jonathan kaminka making big jumps Moses Moody is another one I would like to see him get more consistent minutes so that we can see a huge jump in year four JK though I feel like is a player that a lot of the war of success is going to hinge on I believe that um for you what do you feel like is a reasonable expectation whether it be numbers better whether whether it be usage wise um and just real quickly uh his career stat from this past year were career bests 16 points just under five rebounds per game more than 26 minutes per game nearly 26 and a half which like I said Steve Kerr finally started giving him some more consistent run which was good although there were definitely some stumbling blocks during the season like the Denver Nuggets game where he got pulled in the fourth quarter after playing great but you know whatever um 53% is how he shot from the field this past season Jonathan kaming at 32% as we already touched on from three-point land definitely would like to see that get up 75% just about from the free throw line so whether it be how he plays areas he improves numbers what do you see his role being Jonathan kaminga this season well because of his athleticism I am truly hoping that he prioritizes his play on the defensive end to then create points and I’m hoping that when I say that I mean like aggressively e if not being the one getting steals but being or being the one creating turnovers from from an uh especially some of the top tier teams that we have like really rushing these guards to turn the ball over so that he can get easy bunnies on the other end he like you said average 16 points I’m hoping that he can at least get in the 18o range or 20o average range I think 20 is a little high but I think if he can get to that point where he’s like averaging at least 18 points like we said he was a little inconsistently played this season if he have a Bonafide role I don’t see why he couldn’t add a couple more points to his average and make him that much more of a star on this team that much more of a threat to then open up that system that Steve cerb wants to play so badly which is shooting from the outside if he becomes a threat where people have to honor him from the outside it opens the floor up a lot more for everyone else to have to of course play with the movement and the Princeton offense that they kind of run you know it just helps that now on the other end I’m really hoping that he continues to get back better when it comes to that perimeter shooting not just being a threat that they have to guard because he can get to the rim but actually being a threat with that can knock down a shot someone they have to respect like maybe he’s not the Bonafide three-point shooter on the team but if he gets the ball you definitely don’t want to leave him wide open out there I want to see his percentages grow at least some he doesn’t have to be Klay Thompson from three you get what I’m saying but if you’re going to build a team full of role players that obviously you go after to slow-mo because he can knock down a shot because he has a high IQ because he’s able to pass the ball and defend he’s crafty if you’re going to go after a Budd healed who you obviously are getting because of his shooting right then can you just give us a few here and there that people have to honor you out there so that you can play the game that you want to play which is getting to the R I feel like I’m hoping that he does that this summer and like you mentioned earlier I’ve watched the videos that he’s posted to his Instagram where he’s obviously working on his agility his quickness but then his ability to get off of the ball and shoot and so whether it’s catching shoot or whether it’s off the dribbling shoot I see that he’s working on that and I do think that because he’s young and he’s growing and he’s becoming more confident that he will be a better shooter this season but I’m hoping to see that I don’t want to just assume that he has the potential to do it I want to see it actually come to fruition the thing is Jonathan kaminga doesn’t have to be an elite three-point shooter he just has to be serviceable to keep defenses honest to Force Defenders to come out and guard him on the perimeter so then he can attack them on the bouns and get to the rack that’s a big problem for him I feel like it’s just if you don’t force them to be honest then he doesn’t have as much space to be able to get inside and do what he does and you see that explosion the change of pace his ability to get to the rack and finish he just has to do enough so I’m totally with you on the same page that like you don’t have to be crazy an amazing three-point shooter that may never be his game but whether it be on the three-point or in the mid R you have to do enough for defenses to respect you and 32% isn’t going to get there another reason why I’d like to see him get his three-point numbers up is because I could see JK playing the three I don’t know what your take is on this we’ve seen him a lot at the four at the three be able to once again at least serviceable and respectable in terms of your three-point shooting percentages but I kind of like him there I think that he could really exploit some mismatches at the three he continues to get better defensively I just see that being a good for him especially with the different pieces the Warriors have like that could be an opening where the Warriors do need him but to me I feel like you have to get the shooting there for him to do that what is your take on position-wise what you think is the best fit for Jonathan kaminga I actually would hope that he can move into playing more of a three like you just said than a four I feel like I’m I’m big on size I’m big small guards two big men type of play yeah and so because of that I like his length and his besides being more so on the outside because I also think it plays to his strengths you know I think he’s good at stretching and beating you with that first step to get to the brck you get what I’m saying I feel like that’s he’s able to do well first step yep exactly but if he doesn’t have that three then you’ll just find yourself out there with a man sagging off of you and he doesn’t have to beat them with the first step because that first step is like he he’s already two steps inside of you you get what I’m saying he’s First Steps because you’re not trying to take that shot from outside you’re either going midrange and shoot get to the midrange and dump it off or get to the midrange mid-range and kick it out and at that point whoever you’re kicking it out to is pretty much covered because now the defense has shifted because you’re in the middle of the floor so I’m just hoping like you said that he can move into that role where he’s playing more of a three but that he’s a threat on the outside where at least if he looks like he’s about to pump fake and pull it up you got to jump and now he got you I’m hoping that that’s the guy he turns into this season and I definitely think he has the potential to do it I mean I like Jonathan kaminga I liked him from the beginning I always thought that he was the type of guard that the Warriors needed instead of trying to you know get guys to just catch and shoot it from the outside I think he’s definitely somebody that can help the older Warriors be who it is that they are easy Ain I feel like on this show before you mentioned that you know what it feels like to have Defenders sag off of you so back when you balled were you not a three-point shooter like what was your what was your position I want to know girl I was a two three I was an absolute terrible shooter it was so bad I honestly it’s not that I couldn’t shoot it’s not that my mechanics were bad I didn’t have the confidence because I was always so confident in going to uh especially going to my right that I knew I could get crafty inside and if it wasn’t my shot because I hated the mid-range too to be honest with you because I just didn’t have that touch but if I could get to the inside I could either the Euro Step was my move but I was okay it’s funny but I could either I could get you that way or I could make you think I was going there and I was good at dumping it off to my post I was so good at that but shooting it was just never there and if I hit a three I was like oh wow it’s working today it was so bad it was so bad until after I stopped playing I injured myself and then I could shoot all of a sudden I was a gym attendant and all I could do was shoot and I was like where was this when I was actually playing the sport in college like I could have gone higher if I had to just developed that part of my game if I was not such a one-dimensional player because like I said in college people easy my freshman year it was easy for me to get what I wanted because no one knew what I did but after they started reports exactly this girl likes to go hard right she’s either gonna dump it off or she’s gonna try to get all the way to the rim and that’s when it got tricky for me because in in high school no one ever picked up on that Middle School of course nobody ever picked up on that but it’s different in college and as soon as they picked up on it I was done if you put me outside on the perimeter then we started running the Princeton offense which made it even worse because that is shooting heavy and so it was like the spacing was never great for my game and I just I struggled because they would sag off of me and if I saw that I would easily it was like chills went through my spine and I just could not shoot it and it was either short or long it was just I hate to say that I hate to I hate to I love this a shooter I wasn’t a shooter at all which is why I know like at this level in playing professional basketball like you have to be if you’re gonna be a onedimensional player you better be bonafied at that one dimension and if you’re not then you need to have a all-around game well enough that you are a threat everywhere so that you can get what it is that you really want and I wish I could have come to that conclusion in college but I never did so it was what it was and now I’m a sports caster so I guess per form yeah exactly we still appreciate you using that Insight even if it didn’t help in your own career now to analyze the careers of others and talk NBA uh I played High School through basketball or played basketball I played basketball through high school not in college but I was the opposite I literally had no confidence on the drive I was not really crafty at finishing through traffic I didn’t have a particularly quick first step I had a lot of speed to where I could get out and transition because I’m a soccer player so I could run the floor like I never got tired and I would get out and front and I was a really good Defender but like that was it I was a solid shooter I got a lot of buckets in transition but I could not drive and it like you said being onedimensional it makes it a lot easier to defend um we’re now using both of our deficiencies to help analyze the Warriors right or at least speaking for a place of experience not pulling this out of thin air it’s you know they said what is it experience is the best teacher and that’s why we can eye what we see when we see these guys out there like it’s a play that sticks out in my mind I cannot remember exactly what game whether it was Denver or someone but kaminga was out there he was wide open and I was like I know I was just sitting in the media seat saying I know that feeling and of course he did take the shot and then it ended up being a turnover but I was just like I know that feeling but he’s so much better than I was obviously well yes but still confidence is so much of shooting and I actually will say this past year Jonathan kinga’s three-point numbers were down and I feel like I saw him hesitate sometimes on open shots to the point you just brought up and seeing that live and in person at a game I feel like if you get the confidence piece there it can make a huge difference and like I said with him I don’t feel like the mechanics are terrible to where maybe that’s the biggest thing you got to come along is repetitions right like you said like getting in the gym getting in the flow of that you know the rhythm of catch and shoot and then just having the confidence because I feel like I saw that on the floor uh where there was a little bit of a hesitation and now that I’m telling you I just feel like if he doesn’t come back feeling like the big man in town what happened because he truly is like the big man in town when it comes to all the younger guys on this roster I mean of course they have a paj jimsky that is very well prioritized especially Trace Jackson Davis Moses Moody all of these guys are well loved by dub nation and clearly by the front office as well but kaminga seems like the golden baby of the bunch right now and so if that’s the case I’m just hoping that the offseason work he gets this offseason he comes then and be honest with you sometimes you don’t necessarily have to feel like you’re going to make the shot as well you if as long as you feel like you’re going to make the shot that’s all you need to take it and sometimes just sometimes that’s enough to make it fall you know and like I’m saying I’m not saying you come out there and shoot lights out no brother that’s not what I’m saying I’m just saying you come out there and you be a threat and when you feel like you got it take it and be that shooter that when you feel like you got it and you take it it’s going in because you’ve worked on it at least that much I think that he’s guy though I like kaminga I think I like kaminga with the [Music] Warriors I also like kaminga with the Warriors and the last question I want to throw at you before we wrap things up is a little bit of contract talk because as of Saturday the Warriors can now start discussions about extending both Jonathan kaminga and Moses Moody who are coming into the final year of their rookie contracts so negotiations can begin they don’t have to but you look around the league and you see Scotty Barnes the Toronto Raptors fron vogner of the Orlando Magic both got those rookie Max extensions worth 224 million over five seasons both were lottery picks alongside kaminga and moody in fact bner was selected one after JK I believe they were eight and N or seven and eight looking at the numbers that those two guys have brought in JK’s stats don’t quite match but what do you feel like is the price range the Warriors would be to pay to to keep JK around are we looking at 35 40 million a year and then realistically based on cap situation like are they willing to pay for him I think that they should be willing to pay for him but I also think that the price point will be determined kind of like I’ve been saying all uh all all day is I think it is will be determined by this season I don’t think that right now they need to be focused on how much do we pay kaminga to keep him here and extend him I think they see how much of a jump he’s made in these offseason verse in comparison to how well he plays and is being played this season I think that’ll determine it because do do I think that they deserve to pay him an extension that he is happy with yes but I also think he has a little bit of proving to do when it comes to fron Wagner like Vagner I mean he is they’re in a situation in Orlando where they’re less rebuilding and they’re more just finishing putting finishing touches right now whereas the Warriors are are moving into an era of rebuilding and I just feel like before you just stamp a guy with especially with the Money Talks it I don’t really understand the luxury tax and all that kind of stuff as much as some complicated it’s nuts a lot but I know that the money is not on their side right now so if that’s the case then I wouldn’t just jump into trying to like you know right now extend them with this huge crazy contract whereas the Orlando Magic can do that because they have Palo and Caro they have they have Carwell Pope there now they have and a bunch of other pieces that it’s kind of like they’re more so if you if I for lack of a better comparison if you’re in construction right now they their building is almost done ver for what they’re looking right right right oh yeah is like almost like being in a renovation system which is where the to you ask me where the Warriors are it’s like they’re kind of gutting things and trying without gutting everything and trying to add nice Renovations because the structure is still there I feel like is where the Warriors are so I don’t really know exactly how much I would say um for them to offer kaminga just yet as an extension do I think that I want them to extend him yes but do I think he has a lot of proving to do this season yes and I think whatever he does this season will solidify whether that is a more or less 40 million a year or not you get what I’m saying yeah totally I’m with you I I don’t think the word should be in any rush to make any type of decisions right now to me I look back at the Jordan pool contract 140 million it was for a four-year deal in his rookie extension and it’s like look how that turned out the year after the contract Year all of a sudden major drop off and the big Focus was to unload that contract and that’s how Chris Paul end up with the Warriors a lot of pieces ended up on the Move yeah but it’s just like you don’t want to jump the gun but I do think that as of right now Jonathan kaminga should be extended I do think the market prices are going up so it’s probably going to be a pretty penny that’s where we’re at that’s just the market right now so the Warriors are going to have to once again get creative to figure out how all of these pieces are going to fit while still not going crazy into the luxury tax which is the problem this team has been in but Aon thank you so much for coming on as always it flies by can’t believe we are wrapping things up do want to mention to folks lockdown has 1. Kylen Mills most Gorgeous Female host in YouTube ❤, Go Dubs!!!- shout out from naval base San Diego CA

  2. Kuminga can be great 2 in two or three years but he is not Stephen Curry, if we need to win rn and there is no option we have trade JK I would but if Mike does get star without giving up JK then he Goated

  3. I know everyone hates to hear this but no. JK is not a superstar in the making. He’s just like the wiseman scenario. He doesn’t have the brain. 🧠. Everyone is blinded by an athletic finish here and there , largely off of shots he only gets because of Steph and Klays gravity. But the reality is he can do one thing well: score. Not great , if any team tries to stop him they could. But they let him do his thing because they know its more important to keep steph out of rhythm.

He is not mentally quick enough and not skilled enough. This isn’t to say he isn’t smart because he could be , Como constantly stands next to someone on offense, and he ruins our spacing. He constantly gets lost on rotations often because he’s watching the ball. He has the athleticism to close out, but he reacts so slowly. He often gives up open threes. He bites on every pump fake skying for a block which often ends up being a foul.

He is in his third year and his ball handling has yet to improve. Not one dribble move has been forged into his game.

Everyone constantly brings up his age smh tired point. If this is the guy the dubs want to invest in then we are in trouble because once steph leaves , Kumingas scoring and efficiency will both drop with increased defensive attention and people will recognize he is not skilled or smart enough to lead a team.

People notice his scoring but dont see all the holes in his game thats preventing him from being a winning player.

Podz moody tjd are smart young players though none are talented enough to be the main guy on a winning team. When steph retires the warriors are in trouble. We bet it all on wiseman and kuminga. And neither had 2 brain cells of BBIQ.

  4. The warriors team is done ✔️ in life OK ka.pai have fun in world 🌎 jail time ⏲️ sorry for 🌹 bothering 😢 steph and dramond and Poole and klayk Thompson jail time for murders years past and coach dekker Kerr 🎉

  5. The guy can’t shoot. He is good with curry on the floor. When curry isn’t he is a pascal was when curry was out. I feel like he is really going to be a Kelly oubre jr comp. Do you want to pay him the max to oubre when you let him go and didn’t want to keep him. Waste one of 2 spot for a max franchise player who can’t shoot. Gets lost in defense

  6. JK needs this year to put everything together. Defense is gonna click with Dray’s help. But & this is a BIG but, he needs a defined role & minutes (starter with 25-30mins). And allow him to make mistakes to learn & grow to prepare for the playoffs.

  7. Get a young star who can shoot and score. Trade curry just like how OKC traded Paul George and west brook and got young talent back. Older players didn’t work for New Jersey nets with Paul and garnet. Didn’t work for Clippers with George and Leonard. Get your value for curry now. We are not winning with a declining curry and without a true top ten player 2nd star

  8. TBH he is not main guy and never gonna be. Kerr pretty much crushed his confidence and talent.

He will be a damn good 3rd option.

I want Kuminga and Moody for very long time as Warriors.

  9. Been a Warriors fan for 30 years, I can’t remember a more Polarizing player than JK… true Dubs fans have always been behind our players bcus we know where we came from… this new crop of fans not getting behind JK has been perplexing to say the least. JK will be a superstar… listen to the players.. Jason Tatum said it a few years ago.

  10. Kerr is the biggest issue with Kuminga and Moody. He doesn't play them enuff. Kuminga should be playing 35m per game. Moody could play the Melton/Hield role as a scorer but u have to wonder if getting those players will continue to get Moody more DNPs . Ironically, Kerr will play PODZ 35mins per game and he isn't close to the talent of Kuminga. They are both 21. Now Kuminga will want 160 + mil in an extension and we don't even know what Kuminga can become despite having him 3+ yrs. Given the right mins….Kuminga can be a 22p/5reb average. I think he over takes Wiggs and becomes warriors 2nd option
