[Music] much love to Kyle Larry I mean man takes a lot of heat and I think with him winning the championship he he goes down right now as probably the greatest Raptor of all time so he got a chance to Lowry that tipped it in with the 24th pick in the 2006 NBA draft the Memphis Grizzlies select Kyle Lowry of Villanova University he absolutely loves to play and he’s really strong he’s a gymrat but the one thing Dan that he doesn’t do he doesn’t shoot the ball and I kind of question that a little bit because he is such a gym rat he loves to play he’s playing all the time why is he better shooter good hands by Kyle Lowry could be a lot of minutes for Kyle tonight but if you remember going back to New Orleans he played 46 or something like that going the extra minutes won’t hurt Kyle Lowry and Damon will get his minutes fouls won’t won’t really Factor late in the game for Dam Grizzlies participate as well and they’re going to get a first round pick from Orlando in this deal and Houston gets Kyle Lowry back from Memphis Brian Cook from Orlando and they’ll probably be another play or two added just to balance out the math Houston was a little bit on the desperate side they had a need there for a scoring guard and that’s why you saw them go out that brought them Kyle Lowry who’s you know no Baron Davis but he’s an efficient point guard and he kind of fits into what they do as we said The Fast Break Watson all the way to the basket is blocked by Lowry what a great defensive play by Lowry are you sure that was Lowry and not AEM the dream you know we got the win I’m happy it’s a building Stone it’s a stuffing stone for us we have the team like the Warriors under under 101 and those guys can score the ball we’re just you know excited that we can play defense like this and it’s not it’s not you know it’s a surprise to us but you know we got to do it every night to Lowry with 28 points a new career high he looks down at the Memphis bench and he says remember me I used to be here in Memphis but now we’re so happy to have it in houon and it’s the first triple double on the season for the Rockets it’s Kyle Lowry getting it done 28 points 11 rebounds 10 assists Kyle Lowry the man in Houston there a game and a half back of Memphis shot clock running down Parker puts it up Patterson Bon from midcourt he gets it off the T P free what a turn around are you concerned that Kyle’s wearing down a bit I think again we talked about it no I think there a natural flow to the NBA season you have a lot of games a little bit of a rough period Then you bounce back he’ll be fine be fine the guys were playing well the team was G playing well that we were winning and uh you know but at the same time it just felt like I wanted to be out there and just helping my teammates any type rate any possibility just getting out there and helping but you know I was in a situation that was tough you know I’m excited to be here great opportunity for myself um for this team to grow you know giv my giv the keys I think um you know I can drive this car to a playoff team and um make the expectation for our team to be better that’s Kyle Lowry who is in some pain you can hear him crying out as the Raptor’s medical staff goes to him and that’s a hold your breath moment for everybody concerned there Lowry is down realistically what are your goals to win I mean we going to go there play we going to try to win we’re trying to win every single night that’s all that matters we’re we’re not worried about anything but winning think everybody wants to go come in here and show that we have each other’s back U from from top to bottom and he’s on his you know quote best behavior I think they made it clear to Kyle what they expect from him a veteran guy who could be a solid backup on a contending team that has an expiring contract that’s an asset right there double A Anderson Lowry lets it Fly and it’s good the three is good for Kyle Lowry Lowry Let it Fly how big is this season for you personally Kyle that’s just big for me because I want to make it to the playoffs I want to do something I haven’t done in a couple years and that’s make it to the playoffs for myself it’s one thing that I want to do for our team personally is get us to the playoffs you know we’re resilient we’ve been doing it all year we’ve been playing close games I don’t think we had one blowout every game we play the fourth make sure we take care of business we don’t want to get into a game seven we don’t have to but if we have to come back here our fans have been amazing so we got a game on a player make this big of a jump KY lar guy who’s been noted as bad locker room guy in some scenarios especially Houston not the greatest leader a mid-level guy turning himself into All-Star Superstar possibly MVP caliber can you start right with Kyle Lowry a player who underperformed by his own admission and yet he is your franchise guy is that the Kyle low we can ride with the next two years or did we learn something about him or maybe did he learn something about himself that he can apply going forward and become a better player just attack stay aggressive no matter what happen we got a team win that’s all that matters for us we got better every game we’re trying to get better every game that’s all we can do is worry about each game and get better no pressure was on this game it just one game uh within our journey throughout the season shot four a two it’s a 2 997 and a career high for we pushed ourselves and the team did it we all got everybody that played the bench you know they put on the line and uh you know it was a great win for us and uh you know we look forward to the second round and the next challenge they need a three to tie Lowry half court heave a prayer at the hands that was a violent Collision Mar underneath the basket as the Raptors were scrambling in rotation Kyle Lowry in a collision went down play continuous here and LeBron James puts it home but Lowry as you can see in great pain give us an update if you’re calm down at all when you got the treatment um no it’s pretty sore right now I didn’t see the replay I know what happened it you know it was kind of scary but it’s it’s painful but I’m not going to complain about it and get treatment it wasn’t as difficult because you know Toronto was home these guys have accepted me they put me in a position to be successful they believed in me the criteria was to be great to be the best player you can be lead a team give an opportunity to keep leading their team at the end of the first half D know one day to kind of adjust prepare recover and it’s been you know it’s been crazy grueling but it’s been a fun process this group of guys we got back here we special um you know we work extremely hard and uh you know the fans have given us everything we needed tonight uh our fames our friends you know we we’re not satisfied though you know this is one step to our our end goal just a great group of guys I mean I wouldn’t be here for these guys if it wasn’t for these guys um yeah I can’t really think right now this is crazy this is awesome man Toronto Canada we brought it home baby he brought home the Clippers did a good job in their recruitment process he made it a choice for him he decided to go home and you know for me as a player and I think for other every other player in our team we’re happy for him we happy for him would he help us do and he’s happy that he’s happy it’s been a long time I’ve been here the longest now been through the ups Downs I was able to help bring a championship here I feel like I have a big part of it it’s just going out here and doing my job like I always do be a true professional and Lead as best I can like I’ve always done the greatest comeback in franchise history the Toronto Raptors win it 110 107 30 plus Point comeback Lowry lead pass Davis there it is the record Kyle Lowry the alltime franchise leader in assists being a champion that’s the only thing your mindset is how to become a champion again the difference is we don’t have kaai the same thing the similarities are we’re the same exact team we play hard we go out there we defend you know we got pros and we just trying to win every single game and that’s what we’ve always done the history of the organization with the faces of the organization all leaving the fact that he stayed the fact that he won the championship and then even though kawhai left Kyle just keeps being Kyle like he puts forth a front of confidence that I think we’ve needed here for a long time they beat us fair and square they made it tough on us we made it tough on them you know we had opportunities to win it and but they came out and did their job and they won and they moved on for us it’s sad we had more to give but unfortunately we not giving no more right now Lowry said look at the blood coming down streaming down underneath the right eye of Kyle Lowry you could tell that he is agitated by the non call there this is a 35-year-old player Miami’s not trading a 21-year-old Tyler hero for Kyle Lowry at this stage of his career it doesn’t make any sense they can revisit and a new deal in the offseason with Kyle Lowry and his sign in trade he is the greatest Raptor of all time is because he really is and what he has done for this community what he has done for this team to bring them to a championship you wonder if that is the final walk of the greatest Raptor of all time in Kyle Lowry it’s the end of an era for the Toronto Raptors their fans and the entire city as the man widely regarded as the greatest Raptor of all time is saying goodby Kyle Lowry will be leaving the team heading down south to join the Miami Heat to get better and get a rhythm and get a Groove and know figure out where my spots are going to be on the floor a little bit more having an opportunity to be a little bit more aggressive got to go out there and continue to this building it better as a team and for myself get ready to turn it up a little bit more he’s old when they got him he was at the end of his rope he was finished in Toronto and they moved him he went to Miami for the bag his body has taken a toll in Toronto and I just don’t think he’s uh got much left it’s been a a wild season for me individually I’m given an opportunity to play basketball I would never make an excuse about injuries never I was out there they had guys hurt you know I wish I would have been able to play a little bit better at a higher level but I didn’t Kyle Lowry still is of Championship pedigree but when the first step is lost so much else is lost whether it’s the knee or his age he’s 36 he simply does not look like the player he was for the Heat last season how much does that experience help and how do you use it in the series um I think it will help a lot but I think we’re just prepared mentally stay stable no matter what happens it’s kind of been our season the whole year just being here and staying in the moments you know it’s a special bond with this group we’ll look back at some point and say hey it was a great year a great run but right now just uh can’t even think about that right this [Music] moment I love it first of all my condolences to Kyle Lowry who’s a winner and a champion and a great guy a veteran I’m sad to see him go from a winning situation to what exist in Charlotte Kyle Lowry has headed home to Philadelphia an organization that thinks they can still get something out of Lowry in limited minutes Kyle Lowry really a dream come true for him at 37 years old just kind of communicating once you Comm communicate with each other and you’re open and honest and and you understand what you have to do it’s easy a really good performance it’s a really good team you know like I said they got a guy in Jaylen Brunson yeah I’m definitely retiring as a raptor that’s that’s something i’ I’ve said since I left here I will sign that day contract you know and and that’ be my you know I will retire as a Toronto Raptor [Music]
