One of my favorite stories from TwiXter appeared in a post by a Jewish lady from Portland who went to her first NBA game, Blazers vs. Pelicans, in the late 2010s. It was the first night of Hannukah, and the arena had a giant menorah set up and had a pre-game lighting ceremony. She was feeling great about everything until the fourth quarter "when a guy behind me started talking about 'this f—ing Jew holiday.' A couple of minutes later, his friend said, 'Can you believe this f—ing Jew holiday?''" After the game, she turned to her husband and said, "How could you just stand there and let those guys make anti-Semitic comments?" Puzzled, her husband asked, "What did they say?" She told him, at which point he pulled out his phone and showed her the box score.

Brad Stevens knew exactly what the team needed.

He was a good add to the team. Overall Stevens did a great job finishing the build of the team. Ainge deserves credit for the drafting of Brown and then Tatum. There also were other draft picks, like Smart who Stevens used in Trades to finalize the building of the team which had the most talent in the league. They did have an easier road to the Championship this year but the team certainly can compete for another during the next few years. The NBA will adjust to beat them but this year's experience certainly will help against tougher competition. I hope they can get another, or more over the next few years. In the 08 period they weren't able to get that 2nd championship. With the Js the window is much longer, they will have to adapt the player around them. With them having massive contracts that task will be tougher. How will the Ownership change factor into the equation?
