Cooper Flagg Changes EVERYTHING…

in recent days as he was chosen to play for the USA select team and a lot of footage has come out recent about their scrimmage against the Team USA which is the team with LeBron Curry Anthony Davis Anthony Edwards and everyone else now I know what you’re thinking everyone wants Cooper flag right and you’d be right to think that as Cooper flag seems to be one of those wants in a generation type talents and with a skill set like Cooper Flags he would fit perfect on most NBA teams but specifically the Blazers now I might be a little biased being a Blazer fan but I really do think that Cooper flag would slide in perfect on this current roster Cooper flag is currently the number one ranked Prospect going into the 2025 NBA draft in a loaded draft class he stands at a tall 6′ 8 in and primarily plays the small forward and power forward position currently he is committed to go to Duke University in the fall little bit of background on Cooper flag he was born in Newport Maine and initially attended nocus Regional High School he became the first freshman in Maine to ever be named the Gatorade Player of the Year and in that season he averaged the whopping 20.5 points 10 rebounds 6.2 assists 3.7 Steals and 3.7 blocks per game as a freshman those are not number numers you see every day so right away even in high school Scouts knew that he was going to be the real deal one day Cooper flag possesses many traits that in theory make him one of the most promising young prospects that we’ve seen in recent years well uh aside from Victor wanyama of course some of Cooper flag’s traits include athleticism and his shot making ability he possesses the length and body control to be a problem on the defensive end of the floor it’s been reported that he also has an insane work ethic he’s ambidextrous and so he’s able to shoot and pass with both hands and has a really nice shooting touch Cooper flag put all these skills on display during his recent scrimmage against the Team USA Cooper flag looked like a man amongst men out there and keep in mind he is only 17 years old and is going toe-to-toe with some of the best NBA players of all time including LeBron James Steph Curry Anthony Davis kawhai Leonard and more all these players are current multi-time Allstars and most of them are even Hall of Famers one NBA Scout even said that he looked like the best player on the court during that scrimmage but this isn’t anything new Cooper flag was a 2024 McDonald’s All-American and has tons of USA Basketball experience which includes a spot on the 2022 FBA under 17 team as well as winning the 2024 Nike hoop Summit as a member of Team USA now everything that I’ve talked about alone would make him a perfect Prospect for most teams out there however not every team needs a small forward or power forward but for the Blazers he would slide in perfect on this team I believe that he would fit in perfect with scoot Henderson and Shaden sharp and would offer the ability to space the floor and draw defenses away making it much easier for the young back court to score whenever they need to Not only would he be a scoring threat but he would also be a threat on the defensive side of the ball as well I believe that he would fit in perfect with Denny ofia at the forward positions as well as the defensive skill set to complement rookie Donovan kingan now if you have a three through five lineup of Denny OFA Cooper flag and Donovan kingan those three players alone would bring the defense ability to make this team a top five defensive team in the league in my opinion and when you have a front Court paired with a back court of scoot Henderson and shanen sharp I don’t see how this team doesn’t have a ceiling of winning multiple championships Cooper flag’s high IQ would also be great for this team and would allow him to set up whoever he needs and whoever he’s playing on the court with to help get them open shots and make their job much easier I also believe that since his work ethic is said to be amazing which if this is true would help build a true winning culture in PDX alongside Scot Henderson Denny ofd and Donovan kingan I specifically mentioned scoot Denny and kingan because all three of those guys have come out in reports or interviews and have said that they are willing to do whatever it takes to win and that winning is their number one priority as opposed to just scoring the ball and making a lot of money now I know I might be getting ahead of myself hoping that the Blazers can land Cooper flag in the 2025 draft however someone like Cooper flag would change the trajectory of this Blazers team for years to come as well as would provide some security in the event that Shane sharp was scoot Henderson don’t pan out to be stars like we hope they will now at best even if the Blazers are the worst team in the NBA this year they would only have a 14% chance to win the capture the flag sweep Stakes but again if they can somehow get him in the draft this changes everything for this team moving forward the fact that he’s only 17 and is competing against some of the best players to ever play in the NBA was the number one ranked Prospect coming out of his high school class and is still a full year from coming into the NBA I truly do think that he is going to be one of the best prospects we’ve seen in the last deade
