Myles Turner has always been criticized for his lack of assertiveness in the painted area. I can’t exactly put my finger on when it happened, but at some point he flipped a switch and immediately started putting everyone on a poster and slamming it down with power instead of laying it up. The question is rhetorical, but I just want to praise him for his change in mindset.

I don’t care why, just keep doing it Lego man
I love Turner when he plays like this for our team! He needs to be more consistent with this type of play. When he disappears sometimes in games I wish he would do this more.
Toppin said dunk more
That’s always been the issue, he shows you the ability to be aggressive and dominate one game and you can barely tell he’s on the court the next game. Confidence is probably a huge factor, maybe getting pissed off at the opponent or not being afraid of their defense is another. We gotta have aggressive Turner if we are gonna compete.
It’s not random at all.
It correspond with capable passers hitting him in stride on dives to the rim as well as him developing some perimeter moves to attack the rim on the dribble.
Not random, he’s been working towards it.
Once or twice a year he always throws down an insane poster, that one on Tristan Thompson a while back was dirty
Honestly I believe it was shortly after Siakam started playing in games for us.
I think he is just super comfortable with his role, and with who he is, this has held over into improved confidence and more assertive/aggressive play.
I’d also argue a lot of the aggressiveness came in the playoffs and he is one of those players that just steps it up when the games matter.
My favorite dunk of his has to be his dunk on Evan Mobley trying to take a charge
They destroyed his underground Lego black market. He’s rightfully pissed
His dunks are some of the most underratedly violent I’ve ever seen. Keep em coming I say.
Because he has no choice. He’s known in the league for being soft and targeted for it. He can’t be the liability or he’s gone and he knows that.
we went from spamming brogdon sabonis p&r the most in the league, to great spacing and an elite playmaker. pretty much polar opposite roles and offenses myles played in, and only a few years apart
realized he was 7 ft tall
Playoff push, Myles early years we were a playoff team, imagine that hunger for it after missing or first round exits.
I think Rick, or more likely Lloyd, took Myles aside during a timeout and said “The fuck? Domas isn’t here to gum up the paint. Are you the man or are you not?”
it’s the playoffs! season is way too long
His gf
He started to believe.
He got a super hot gf and his game changed lol
He was finally allowed to play as a true stretch 5
I swear he worked on just yamming the ball instead of going up with finesse over the summer and I love it
