Who can be got for Nuggets’ DaRon Holmes $1.53 million Disabled Player Exception?

He's on a $3.07 million contract, so the disabled player exception at 50% of that is $1.53 million.

Can you even get a player for that? Isn't that less than a vet minimum?

How does it work? What's the sub-1.5 million market like?

Of the current free agents I see that Spencer Dinwiddie was on 1.55 million last year and Aleksej Pokuševski was on 1.45 million:

Most of the rest I don't recognize.

I believe you can sign an undrafted player or a player with no service time for just over 1 million.

Even if there was a hidden gem player like that booth found, the disabled player exception does not open up a roster spot. And the last 2 roster spots on the team are for DJ and Westbrook allegedly.

Booth is not changing course after one season and I don’t expect him to. He believes in his vision, however stupid it is.
