“Do I think I’m supposed to be here? No,” Beauchamp said. “But it’s an opportunity to get reps, show the coach what I can do and show I can defend and just try to get ahead.
“I just gotta go out there and be undeniable.”
“I asked (Bucks coach Doc Rivers) and he said he wanted me to play two games, and it’s up to me after that,” Beauchamp told The Athletic on Friday. “But really, I just want to do whatever’s going to help me get on the court next year. So, I’m sacrificing, and I feel like I just need to go out there and be me, of course, and just show that I can guard and make open shots and just be able to play.”
“I think it’s just the effort, the competitiveness that’s going to carry me to do those little things,” Beauchamp said. “I’m gonna be handling the ball, of course, but that’s just what I do, that’s in my game. One day, I’ll be able to do that. I feel like I still gotta keep working on that, pick-and-rolls, reading the actions and knowing when to shoot and not to shoot.

Saying the right things. I’ll think he’ll show out

You could tell last season that dudes got a lot of talent but just needs more time. Love this.

Love that Doc is harping on him improving his decision making.
Many fans have realized that his confidence is a big issue because if he had a window for an open 3 or saw an open teammate, it seemed like he’d hesitate a lot. His confidence and decision making is absolutely his biggest flaw so it’s nice to see that Doc wants to develop him.

He absolutely shouldn’t be here, but he put himself in the position where he probably has to be.

Bucks can’t really do much more with roster and I don’t think his value is too high atm. Let’s see what he can do and maybe earn some time if he pops

Bucks are desperate for a playable wing/SG, so he has a great opportunity this season. I’m not super confident, though.

Not being a doomer here, but idc how well he does in summer league.
I saw enough Herd games to know he can run the show against G leaguers and college kids. He’ll look pretty good this week, no doubt.
But he’s completely different on the main roster. **That’s** what he needs to sort out. He needs to mentally level up if he’s going to crack the rotation.

Marlon has much to prove. First he’s gotta go out and dominate these kids. It’s year 3, you know what it is at this point. Then he’ll have to prove it again in the reg season against real NBA comp. This season will determine his future with us
breadbinkers
He has to play like he’s going to in SL in actual NBA games. Dude is going to absolutely destroy these kids and then be afraid of an open shot or easy cut against Washington or some shit. He is so good if he gets out of his head
