There’s a difference between best player to ever play and GOAT. I for one think MJ is both, but you can make the statistical argument (similar to Djokovic in tennis) that Lebron’s the best to ever play the game.
But the GOAT will be, for better or worse, MJ. His influence, dominance, and career are just not replicable in the same way. Hadn’t been done before, hasn’t been done since.
