the Los Angeles Lakers have still yet to win their first Summer League game which is honestly nothing to be sad about considering these games are relatively meaningless and a True Value from these runs is to get young prospects as much exposure on the court as possible looking through this specific lens Laker fans have a lot to be excited about with the emergence of Dalton connect visibly regaining his confidence all while in a role where he’s being asked to do more than he’s accustomed to in the past and will be asked to do during the regular season playing off LeBron James and Anthony Davis connect in just his first couple games seems to have already found his Groove showcasing his enticing skill set of being able to do damage off the ball create quality looks of his own off the dribble and aggressively attack the basket so far proving to be a hand and glove fit on paper for the main roster unfortunately the same can’t be said about the Lakers later pick in the 2024 NBA draft that being bronny James this video is not intended to dish out a hot take of whether bronnie James will achieve any level of success with the Lakers or if he’s a complete bu because the reality is that not a single one of us know rather the purpose of this video is to objectively highlight the arguments for both the critics and supporters of Brony James who has unfortunately found himself becoming one of the most polarizing players in the league but before we dive into why there’s plenty of ammunition behind the frustration of bronie James followed by the counterargument that energy out of the way first Bron’s arrival to the Lakers was weird he clearly was not on any team’s radar as a prospected draft as he’d fall all the way down to the 55th spot but the reports that he had no intention of being on a two-way contract despite being the epitome of unproven talent left a weird taste in some fans mouths fast forward a couple weeks Laker fans now need to compound the reality that should bronnie James have been willing to sign a two-way deal the Lakers would have had an open roster spot to kick off free agency and her taxpayer mid level exception more than likely would have already landed a quality rotational piece by now but unfortunately that’s not the case as Brian James now occupies a crucial roster spot and his summer league struggle so far has only added more fuel to the Fire case could even be made that Brony James shouldn’t even be starting the summer league as sliding D connect to the shooting guard position which will be playing at the next level and inserting Blake Pinson would probably position the Lakers to start off games with a much more fluid offense brony’s offensive struggles have been glaring and at the very least the one statement that both sides of the Brony James debate can agree upon is that his ability to effectively space the floor from Beyond to Arc will make or break any type of success he achieves at the next level speaking of success though that would be defined in the eyes of the beholder and in the case of Brony James it’s noticeable that many of his critics seem to bash him on the fact that he’s not showing out as an NBA ready Prospect from day one whereas those who believe in bronie james’ future remembers at the end of the day bronie James was the 55th overall pick of the 2024 NBA draft and success relative to where he was selected would be to be a part of the leers’s rotation in any capacity we’re very much into the discovery phase as we learn and calibrate whether there’s even a path for bronny James to contribute in JJ re’s rotation and as of right now the answer would still be yes it just wouldn’t be glamorous or flashy throughout Bron’s painful to watch struggles on the offensive side of the ball defensively at the minimum he’s been solid active and disruptive certainly nothing to brag about and it won’t show up on the stat sheet most nights but it’s a much needed defensive motor the Lakers currently needing a guard rotation especially as a potential replacement for gab Vincent who’s being paid $1 million to put up numbers even Brony James in his rookie year could probably exceed that’s how low the bar is as gate Vincent averaged 20 minutes per game for the Lakers last season but only managed to put up three points per game on 30% shooting from the floor and 10% from Beyond Arc there’s actually a good chance bronnie even ends up being an upgrade over G Vincent’s pathetic contributions Off the Bench last season so let me know down in the comment section California classic in San Francisco to here in Las Vegas all the Lakers fans and just circumstances um just uh coming out support stff like that um spe the game coming hard had mentioned you wanted to see some of getting downhill of the rim and the first quarter there were a couple times you’re able to attack the rim what did you see in the court there um I always really good myot A little you mentioned the shot hasn’t been falling yet for three but looks have pretty good you feel like that’s just a matter of time to get the props yeah I R how do you how you how you what what are the [Music] things um you know just going to film looking at the things that I always do things I focus on going like that yeah just always focusing plan um as hard as I can whatever youro to um um you know I’ve known re since fifth grade know he’s a shooter so I just try of get his body going up you went up against some of the top G League what happens if you end up in the G League are you looking forward to any thoughts on that I’m just looking forward to any basketball love are you feeling um I think are you feeling more in Rhythm now that you four of these you three are you feeling that more each time yeah yeah biger guys with all this with all this pressure on just a summer league debut uh how were you able to deal with it out there just going on playing it’s all I can do nothing that do you know myself have you process the the energy from the crowd a lot of fans came to see you get shot uh yeah if I can hit some sh yeah sure what do you hope to get out of this whole summer league experience just getting better time my older God and stuff like that just find out you know what my RO is how would you define success at the summer league how would you define success for you at
