Minnesota Timberwolves Secretly Stumbled Upon A GEM…
I feel like not enough people are talking about how the Timberwolves cooked during draft night they got Rob Dillingham check out my video on him after this one but not only that they got Terrence Shannon Jr AKA a professional bucket getter exactly what they needed especially Off the Bench he’s the desired archetype in the NBA especially for today’s game 6’6 and has extreme athletic ability he’s an NBA ready athlete already honestly probably and above average athlete for NBA standards for instance loose ball occurs his teammates picks it up finds him in transition and he rises above the defender to slam it on his head clearly he is not afraid of contact he will finish it over you or through you if he has to this trade will make life easier for him on both ends of the floor first off he’ll be able to guard multiple positions as you see on this play eventually he bites for the pump fake but look at the ground he’s able to make up because of his athletic ability and explosiveness off the ground once he starts to figure out things defensively like rotations and what they want from him just like Anthony Edwards with their game breaking athleticism if they buy in and focus up defensively Terence Shannon Jr will be effective on that end of the floor I think he’s going to be a breath of fresh air for Timberwolves fans cuz he’s going to come come in with the mentality to shoot the rock now this play seems like nothing Rob Dillingham has a cross match he cooks the big man draws in Shannon’s man kicks it out but notice a quick trigger and willingness to catch and shoot it turns out in his last season in college he shot 6.7 three-pointers a game one of the Timberwolves biggest weaknesses was three-point volume they were 23rd in the league and three-pointers attempted per game they badly need microwave score pouring off that bench outside of Nas Reed he’s also not going to be one-dimensional he can put the ball on the floor through two Summer League games he has 16 free throws attempted per game he loves getting downhill and is super aggressive attacking advantages here they isolate him on one side he has a smaller guy on him he catches and immediately attacks he gets cut off but don’t worry he’s got a counter quick crossover which then sets up the spin move back the other way into the open space he created contact during that as well his physicality on that drive put the refs in a position where they had to blow the whistle plus he will be a guy who can just grab a rebound and handle the Rock in transition he doesn’t have to pass to a point guard if he sees a driving lane and notice the speed on this play my goodness putting insane pressure on the defense and at The Rim where they end up fouling him once again as as you can tell he loves initiating contact while getting downhill so I just hinted at his speed with the ball well his first step off the catch is one of the best skills that he possesses like my goodness so let’s set the scene fourth quarter with 50 seconds remaining the t-wolves are up by two points his guy kind of sags off of him mid possession so he gets the pass and without even thinking about it he’s not scared he catches and he explodes to the rim no nobody can keep up with him the weak side rim protector could not time it because he was too quick a clutch bucket and just mindboggling speed I mean he can just get it done in so many ways offensively he truly has it all on that end of the floor for a complimentary off ball scorer that’s the role the Timberwolves are going to be asking him to play too and then the icing on the cake he projects as a two-way player I hinted at it early but he truly does have great potential on that end of the floor versus Jaren Walker look at him staying glued onto him he’s avoiding screens and he’s just staying attached to that hip and believe me with the size and the rim protection next to him on the Timberwolves they most definitely will get the most out of him defensively he looks like one of the best summer league players so far it is wild to me that he dropped to the 27th pick Minnesota TR truly got a steal and some may say he’s the steal of the entire NBA draft let me know below if you think he will get on the court in his rookie season will he find a role for the Timberwolves because they’re competing for championships and let’s be real it’s very tough to find consistent run as a rookie but that’s all I got if you enjoyed leave a like And subscribe if you got time check out my other videos and most importantly have yourself of a great day and peace out and

i meant 16 TOTAL free throws through two games not PER GAME lmaoo
Yeah, he's gonna have a decent size role with the Wolves this year. He's too good to keep off the court. IMO
I think he could win RoY. I think he’ll be in that conversation at least which is awesome. He’ll get all the Kyle Anderson minutes cause of his motor. It’ll be hard to bench him by mid season
💯Terrence Jr gonna be a fan favorite. I think that second unit will be one of the best in the league, maybe a 10 man rotation. 9 and 10 man might be Ingles and Drillingham.
POBO says him and rob going to play. Up to them how much.
good to replace kyle and conley with these
Jaime Jaquez Jr 2.0!!!
He might see the pro court before dillingham to be honest. If he can grasp the concept of defense the wolves play, he might be a better option than NAW. I like NAW's length on defense but offensively he's inconsistent and doesn't create his own shot. Anthony Edwards plays the whole first quarter, but if they change up the rotation, he shouldn't have to play the whole first quarter. The line ups could rotate more often and keep them fresh in the 4th which at times Anthony Edwards was looking gassed because he's trying so hard on offense especially when Conley is out. There could be a line up with Antman and TSJ on the floor at the same time with Edwards at the point. I wouldn't wanna be guarding two guys who can explode to the rim at any given second.
