um khil yeah uh I would say most importantly it’s the fact that he’s very coachable um you know he does a great job of obviously he’s athletic he gets the rim quick and defensively you know he’s somebody that can go up and contest the you know every shot but most of it again is there’s so much being thrown at these rookies we’re going to give you offense we’re going to give you defense brand new terminology brand new coverages and for him he’s got to be able to digest that every single day and then be open and uncomfortable with us kind of coaching him and coaching him hard and every single day he’s been coming in ready to work bring that lunch pail that lunch pail mentality and uh you know you can see it even today maybe it didn’t look as great as the Sacramento game but there was a lot of positives you can take away from it this kind of what Isaiah did in college too 11 assists to one turnover today what stands out about his playing uh well the first and foremost it’s uh it’s doing his thing really uh not listening to me being who he is being a player he does such a great job of getting our offense organized um I have complete trust with him with that you know which is great um so he’s able to get guys like Hae the ball but also you know khil needs to play on a role or he just recognizes his opportunities I love the fact that he really picks and chooses his opportunities when to be aggressive and when to be a playmaker and then when we need to settle he settles and um you know again that that was another great game for him Coach you made the point about playing the Celtics and and being the reigning Champion do you in part before a game like this what the battles between Miami and and Boston B about even though it’s a summer league game for guys that maybe aren’t even connected B of course um I think actually it’s funny I’m wearing the shirt but uh Udonis always says like you inherit um the championship Legacy that we have okay you inherit the rivalries doesn’t matter if it’s a staff pickup game or it’s summer league or whatever what have you we’re always going to rise to the level of the competition when it comes to playing Boston I know they’re doing the same thing you know they did a great job today on a lot of different levels but when we play the Boston Celtics no matter what it is it’s always going to be a high level competition game you’ve seen a lot of dunks over your heat career and then there was what Pasad did to the rim at the end of the third quarter your reaction to that moment uh I loved it it’s a really thunderous message at the end of a quarter um our staff has been on me it’s very funny this happened in practice the other day I I thought we were taking too many layups um and so our staff said you got to make them dunk it and so we just kind of put an emphasis in practice on a couple of plays like hey just dunk it whatever you have to do just dunk it I don’t want to see these layups floaters come in there and dunk it and uh you know what it translated pretty well today going back to he had a couple good play opportuni tonight a couple times how much has that been a focus for him going a year to fin just uh just being more aware of where everybody else is on the yeah that’s one of his big focuses um you know like I said we knew when he came in he was a great scorer very prolific scorer in a lot of different ways and we wanted to continue to advance those reads so when he’s coming off a pick and roll obviously you have the attack and he did a great job of that but the next layer is okay can you read the coverage and can you find a big man like KH so this was a great opportunity for him to work with a big like khil and uh you know he did great with it how are guys like khil and Pa and the young guys kind of learning and benefiting from haime just sort of being here for a couple games uh it’s been great just just having haime here for two days don’t tell Hae I said that um but just having him in a film session we did a nice little uh yoga workout I mean just having that stuff again a guy who’s been in their shoes has experience but was also going in the trenches with them like that matters you know we have a lot of players who are here dun Robinson Udonis hlam these guys who are coming here and just kind of infusing life into these guys in practices but hae’s you know with them every step of the way for the next couple of games and that’s something that we’ve been extremely excited about and uh you know one of his biggest challenges continue to be a leader and he’s shown that through and through um so far
