high high turnover game just you know what were your thoughts on kind of the the unevenness of of that game you want yeah I’ll take I’ll take it yeah definitely we’re still trying to figure out how to play with each other you know we just some of us just met each other you know four or five days ago but we just have to make sure that we’re getting into our sets and everybody’s organized and yeah just take care of the ball make sure we’re being strong and uh embrace the physicality and Carlo news about your deal came out you know right before the game just how exciting is it to kind of have that done and know you’re going to be a part of the team next year well it’s really like for me it’s like a big thing really uh I’m really like happy for it excited can’t wait to get back to New Orleans just to work with the guys uh just excited for the new season pretty much uh happy happy right it’s kind of been unorthodox for you because you spent a lot of time around a team but not necessarily being on a team what’s what’s that experience being like just being around the team and learning what it takes to be I think it helps a lot like just developing part from the developing than getting to know the teammates and the players and like staff and whatever but I’ve been here like this is my third summer league so I pretty much know the guys but I think helped out the that g League sequence and being here just working out throughout June and uh this July a little bit I think that helped out a lot and it’s going to help out throughout the next season when you look at this Pelicans roster and you know being a part of the situation what do you feel like hey here are the ways that can contribute you know hear the ways I can maybe try to get on the floor well for me I’m trying to go from the defensive part uh and that’s going to like like put me on the floor and then offensively just like keep keep running up and down rim run uh being like high up on the oops making good screens uh out of show roll just kick out for the other guys that that can shoot and just making that Advantage from my roles and just from the transition uh Point running down down the rim just open the guys in corners and 45 degrees like just to shoot the ball so I think these that that thing is going to help a lot Talk Carl you talked about uh getting ready for the season how’s this helping you getting ready for your role coming off the bench playing the four the five those sorts of things what’s been the communication for that well I’m trying to like you know to be in that Rhythm that’s going to be in the team you know I don’t want to like try to do anything else I’m going to do back in the pels so like I’m just trying to prepare like game style to the style of play for the season if that makes any sense so I would say like that like G Le I had more like freedom and stuff but I don’t think I’m going to do the stuff that did in G League or like back in Europe because like we have roles here and just trying to make that role and be like as efficient as as I can and as as consistent as I can got on communication just on the court that that’s looking off the court on the court do you think that’s going to help just how you can communicate get to know the guys and cut down on turnovers yeah for sure for sure like we have like really like good guys that really communicate and just try to be like off court on court like from Trey herb yose like everybody everybody just talk to and like Z everybody want to like you know involve so I think that helps a lot Plus uh Daniel Ty just came in so he as a I think he’s going to help a lot because he’s from Europe so I think that’s going to like help a lot for me like to learn uh so like I think learning from these guys and just communicate with it is going to make like stuff easier and just like bringing that communication back in court Jordan with unfortunately with Jaylen going down open up a lot of opportunity for you here what have you been trying to do to try to take advantage of it um just trying to you know get to know the team um just trying to orchestrate the offense trying to make the right play um keep trying to be better defensively and my goal every time is to try and win we didn’t get the win today but uh that’s my goal every time I step on the floor is just try to make the right play and try to win it you got to look at playing with e or you get some Run next to Eve in this game you know just in this week you’ve you watched just what have been your impressions oh yeah no he’s he’s super athletic uh that’s the first thing that caught my eye um super athlete really really good around the rim really good rim protector so if uh you know the guards or the perimeter guys get beat we have faith that he’s going to you know protect the rim for us Jord you just been grinding it out in the G League we can watch you what do you feel like is your thought process going into this season what do you want to accomplish what would be a successful next step for you I think uh you know first thing is trying to get on a roster an NBA roster um and just letting teams know that uh my goal is to try and stick on a roster and just try and help the team win do what I can um you know if that’s being a good teammate or if they need me on the floor whatever it is um that’s my goal like like you stuck for that that charge yeah yeah yeah yeah definitely definitely just just things like that uh trying to make the right play guys that’s been General this this game what we learn from it small sample size what can you take away from it what was the message in the locker room to get ready for the next game we trying to take care of those turnovers I think the turnovers were a problem uh first game second game uh and as as he said before he getting to know the teammates like that that slopy like sloppy like turnovers we have like somebody trying to cut you passing the ball ball goes out of bounds that’s some stuff that you could just I think throughout the practice you get into it so that like stupid things I would call them like that uh getting rid of those and then defensive glass and just like push the ball front and take the good shots and not force anything just let the offense come to you and that’s it co do you know T at all like you guys do you have any relationship uh not really but he played with a lot of Creations guys so I’m going to be like I think third or fourth already so yeah I’m excited just like to meet him and practice with him and then play you have a spot to take him to I know you’ve got a good reputation in the restaurant industry in New Orleans already now you got to take some people on a tour well I didn’t like go too much like around uh I didn’t know I I had to focus on like being practicing like preparing whatever I know like New Orleans everybody talks about food and stuff I’m just excited to come into the court be with the guys and just see the fans soon and that’s it thanks
