Draymond Green says he’s ‘suppressing’ his emotions about Klay Thompson leaving | NBA Summer League

and we are joined by a very special guest the guy who needs no introduction but I’m going to tell you anyways Mr Draymond Green um in attendance to support your Rooks turn seconde guys turn us select team members what are your thoughts on you know just the growth of Brandon and Trace I think their growth has been great you know you seeing these guys out here making plays today that look like you’re a seconde guy you know and I think I remember back when I was on a select team it’s kind of like that validation like wow they think I can play with these guys and help prepare them and and it also allows you to assess your game against that level of talent so I think that was a really big deal for them I’m happy they got the opportunity to do it and it’s also good to see their grow today and speaking of validation I had a conversation with Kevin Knox and he and he said that the the the the speech you gave them a couple days ago at at practice really hit home with him is he’s trying to you know find his next team what were some of the things that you said to the group about fighting for your spot oh really just telling them gets you on the floor in the NBA game you know everyone always tell you oh man you got to go score the basketball but the reality is Steph Curry going to have the ball LeBron James going to have the ball James Harden going to have the ball you’re not going to have the ball so you may as well practice doing the little things now because that’s what people going to be looking for defense will always get you on the court in the NBA rebounding will always get you on the court in the NBA and you can control those things so and then just to be a good teammate and lastly to understand that it’s not just NBA teams here watching you or this team 29 other teams but there’s also European Scouts so just make sure that you have a good sh in all aspects now we know the Warriors are going to look a lot different next year without one of your Corner Stone stones in Klay Thompson you said you were emotional as it’s set in what are you feeling still with Clay going to Dallas I’m doing it’s a classic tale of uh supressing your emotions right now I haven’t allowed myself to really process it I don’t want to I feel like like I’ll face it when I have to face it uh but nonetheless I’m happy for clay um happy he get the opportunity to play basketball at a high level and get get back to feeling like clay so I’m looking forward to that to him I think he going to have a really big year and he going to show people he still got a lot left in the tank so while you’re suppressing your emotions maybe Steph and Steve they’re they’re distracting themselves how about Stephen is first Olympics have you talked to him and are you excited for him I have not talked to him since he’s been out there but I am really excited for him the Olympics are fun he’s never got an opportunity to do it I think it’ll be a great experience obviously with it in Paris and they’ll bring back the gold medal so I’m excited to see oh you’re booking a guaranteed gold absolutely we that’s what this is our sport that’s what we do of course we winning the gold jaymon green this is also what you do thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us here at halftime uh with the Warriors your warriors up 43 to 40 thank you no doubt Cassie thanks for [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is

  1. Of course he is…and then a few months from now, mid-game, he will explode with rage and do something stupid, and then break down post game, blaming it on his suppressed feelings about Klay…

  2. Draymond Green has single-handedly and prematurely ended the Warriors dynasty himself. The dubs could’ve had a back court of Curry and Durant w/ Klay extending his career by coming off the bench in a 6th man role. Jordan Poole hasn’t met expectations in Washington, but he was a promising shooter in a system that fitted him before Dray punched him out.

  3. 😉🫴💥Perhaps a hellava triple single 💥will wrap up anh hellava surpressed ifinal destinations accomplished friendemy intelligence flaws ⁉️
🤣💥☹️💥Dray dszes days gone wildly astray 😖💥🥴

  4. Warriors should call Lakers and see what they can fetch for Draymond. If he wish to go play with Lebron so bad, just trade him for young talent

  5. Draymond I better see you with the team next year and playing not doing dumb stuff that they send you to therapy

  6. Reporter“Are you happy Klay Thompson left??”
    Dray “NOPE!”
Reporter “will you guys beat the mavericks when you face them next season?”
    Dray “YEP!”
    IYKYK 😂

  7. 😂😂 I'd be embarrassed to walk around like that with a tight white shirt. All that money, high level athlete, and you can't hire a personal trainer and get rid of your boobies 😂
