I think ownership wants to see what this team can do next year fully healthy before they decide on who to move off of. I don’t see us giving a max to both Jalen and Sengun, they will pick one (I think it will be Sengun)

They took the smart approach with Sengun and Jalen unlike what I thought with KPJ. Sure we have some easy outs on KPJ’s deal, but I still don’t think people were going to give him 25m per year in RFA.
With Jalen we only saw that 15-game stretch in March where he was absolutely eletctric. Then in April he did awful in those 8 games down the stretch. He finished the season per a lot of advanced metrics as one of the worst guys on the season.
If he can show that March from the get go, he can have the max then. My concern is that he just doesn’t consistently know how to generate easy shots for himself. I’ve seen guys far less athletic gifted generate easy looks for themselves due to their feel for the game.
But with Jalen his shot ends up being tough contested ones. When he’s on those nuclear tears like in March, he’s tough to stop. But NBA players gotta be able to generate easy looks for themselves

Genuinely why does the rest of the league undervalue our players and think we would trade them for trash picks and salary filler?

Alperen gets max extended at the end of this year , Jalen goes to rfa and if anyone else signs him to a max he will be gone so they will trade him with Tate and londale or Adams (the worst of the two) and a pick for a “star” . We can resign most of our guys. We can go over the cap with bird rights.

Sengun is our best player, teams are crazy if they think they can have him

Basically mean we haven’t got an offer we like.
