I’m guessing he will be this year’s Burks 😂

  2. Sparrow_Wilson

Solid end of the bench guy. He was actually quite good against us in the sixers series

  3. Surprising add!

He was one of the few useful bench guys for the Sixers against us.

His irrational confidence and clutch 3s were annoying.

Surprised he’s joining us, our team doesn’t look like it has any rotation minutes for him.

Don’t tell me Deuce is getting moved for Kessler/Richards

I hope this doesn’t mean Deuce is gone.. Hopefully, it’s just a depth piece signing to replace Shake. Guard depth is now: Brunson, Bridges, Donte, Deuce, Kolek, and Payne. Bridges is arguably more of a wing and not a guard, so I don’t hate this move.

Seems more about filling the bench with vets instead of no names. (No disrespect)
But it’s a different dynamic when you have a guy that can take your spot and believes that he can, over someone that’s gonna carry your bags for you 3 years in.
Payne isn’t gonna take Brunson’s spot, but he’s gonna put that work in during practice and is gonna be more vocal then someone like Jacob Toppin or those other guys at the end of the bench.
Good-to- really good pickup for team chemistry.

Hate the ppl questioning the move especially when every Knicks fan was down to add Lowry. Do we need another guard? Prob not. Do we know more than the front office knows? Absolutely not.

This dude has the ugliest shot I’ve ever seen

  9. baddumbtsss

You know a bunch of knicks fans calling him a rat are scrubbing their comments 😂

  10. Omg I hate this rat looking mother fcker. We have Brunson, Deuce and Kolek we don’t need this splinter looking fuck

  11. I love it when we get guys that, in the last playoffs, was a real pain in the butt for us. Next up TJ McConnell?

  12. Not-Josh-Hart

I don’t think he’s a rotational player. The Pacers series exposed our need for spots 11-15 on the roster

  13. TheKingStaysKing

Im not mad at this at all, he has some game and like the bros said here, bench depth piece.

  14. KushEUppercuts

I can’t stand everything about this guy but it was actually a solid move. He averaged 9+ points and shot 40% from 3 after he was traded to Philly. We saw last year in the playoffs what happens when you don’t have depth at the end of your bench.

  15. SPELLITALLCAPS

Bro this the lil MFer that was giving me heart palpitations last playoffs. Based on that and the Suns run, this is an excellent grab and culture fit.

Dude is a hooper and leaves it all out. Self-belief like a MFer

  16. YanksJetsKnicks

I despise watching him shoot a basketball lol. But realistically, it’s good value.

  17. velocissimo

Bro I fucking hate this dude lmaooo but I guess shit’s different if he’s on our side lmfaaooo

Say what you will about Cam Payne’s ugly shot, but he can sometimes pop off and get 20 when called upon; I’ve seen him do it* all the times I’ve rooted against him over the years. Not worried about Deuce because of this, either – his defense is much needed and valued, I believe. I see Payne as a fantastic replacement for Burks; hope you don’t need him, but glad you have him if you do.

    edit: the word it*

  19. Diligent-Cookie-1695

I don’t even like Payne, more of a “meh” move to me, but anyone thinking Knicks would give backup pg minutes (and center) to a 2nd round rookie still aint grasping the “Contenders” concept. Aint no time to fantasize about rookies rn.

  20. R-O-U-Ssdontexist

I think they tried everything they could to get a big man without including duece. Now they have lined up everything where they can include duece and will start shopping him in Ernest.

Even If they can’t trade duece then this move is still a good move for depth since people always go down.

If this means deuce is gone for someone like Kessler it makes sense. Duece at 15 min a game and our 2nd team/backup center being sims at 25 min a game or cam Payne at 10 minutes a game(i think 5 min goes to someone else already on the roster)and our backup center being Kessler at 25 min a game. Given Mitch injury concerns i think having Kessler has a bigger impact.

  21. lmao he went stupid against us in the playoffs and thibs said bring him in

  22. Affectionate-Tea9224

He’s a solid end of bench depth move, people tend to forget knicks were ravaged by injuries and ran out of solid players, adding good depth pieces that can step in and produce in case of injury is always good

  23. Pasta-Pizza-Tacos

This is the type of guy you hate unless he’s on your team. Hated this guy in the sixers series.

  24. Yungdagger_dongboi

I don’t hate this movie. 38% 3pt shooter last season and averages about 5 attempts per game. He’s also a slightly above average defender

  25. Tradeandworkout

This is a big deal. Facilitates and can hit shots. Him with McBride, DDV and Hart is crazy ball pressure and plenty of scoring.

  26. The_SqueakyWheel

I hope he doesn’t get minutes over Kolek
