the Denver Nuggets are falling apart and honestly it’s not even completely their fault with the recent s season ending injury to Don Holmes and also the loss of both kcp and Reggie Jackson in this upcoming off season for them the de nuggets core team that got them to multiple finals runs is officially gone and Jamal Murray’s also installed contract negotiation talks and leaving the core fate of the de nuggets in question moving forward with that being said in this video we’re going to be going over the Denver Nuggets and everything that’s happened to them so far in the offseason both in the free agency market and also within their summer league as well too and then we’re going to be discussing how they’re going to do moving forward for this season and then also subsequent future Seasons as well too uh but with that being said we’re going to start by unfortunately covering some sad news for the Denver Nuggets and recently we got some word we got word that during the uh during one of their summer league games unfortunately their number 22 overall pick Don Holmes suffered a season-ending achilles Terr and then this is a brutal blow for the Denver Nuggets but also for the NBA as a whole cuz that was one of their young guys again he wasn’t a lottery or a lottery pick during this draft but he was one of those guys that was expected to at least make an impact and he had an opportunity to as well too because really what’s left on the Denver Nuggets is just their core five six guys now and they don’t really have a strong bench like they used to in past years and they’ve continued to lose key pieces so again really unfortunate news and hopefully he can recover for obviously not this season but the but the next one with that being said we also have some of the free agency news to cover for the Denver Nuggets and let’s take a look at first who they ultimately lost out or who they ultimately weren’t able to resign in free agency and we see here that the Denver Nuggets have had a really tough off season so far and they’ve lost both kcp to the Orlando Magic and then also Reggie Jackson to the Hornets as well too and Denver really hasn’t been able to replace either player they have got Dario SAR who is honestly the biggest move that they’ve made so far in this offseason and we’ll see how that pans out but it’s tough if you think about both Reggie Jackson and kcp at times they were a bit inconsistent and they may not have been like the top three or top four players on Denver but they were crucial during the playoff runs for Denver over multiple years and honestly kcp at times was a really key guy during the regular season as well too a bit inconsistent but when he was hot he would be able to hit threes from a really high clip honestly I think it was around 40 and there was times when and during this season when he when he was shooting around 50% so it’s a it’s a tough blow for the Nuggets to lose both those guys and let’s take a look here at the roster for the Nuggets really let’s look at who’s left so joic Murray Porter Gordon those are key four key guys but really after that they have guys like Braum obviously they signed uh they signed sarage but they’ve lost so many of their key guys that were that were crucial to multiple playoff runs as this Denver Nuggets Dynasty has been developing and I think they’re not going to be the same team even with if they keep those obviously they’re keeping those four key guys in joic Murray uh Porter and Gordon those are those are obviously key and they were the main contributors to the their playoff runs but they’re losing out on so many so many players over these past few years so again I don’t really know where the Denver Nuggets go from here in terms of maintaining this team moving forward for multiple years I think they’ll still be a big threat during the regular season and obviously yic is joic Murray comes hot at any moment so they can always have strong Championship runs but um I think they’re going to be in for rude awakening just considering all the teams we’ve talked about in past videos the West is stacked and there’s a lot of young talent coming into this lead that’s really ready to take over so I think the nuggets are slightly in trouble but they obviously they’re still the nuggets at the end of the day so I think they they’ll be fine but I don’t think they’re going to be a as big of a playoff threat as they have been now we also have some other interesting news in terms of what the play what the nuggets have been doing in this off seon so it was also it was revealed but from Michael Scotto that the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat had both been having interest in the guard buddy heeld and obviously that would have been huge for the Nuggets if they were able to acquire a guy like buddy hee but obviously he went to the Warriors but I honestly think this really reflects the Nuggets or kind of showcases what the Nuggets how the nuggets have been kind of feeling in this offseason it’s really been been rough for them I think this is the the story that really encapsulates that they haven’t been able to keep their guys that obviously they wanted to and then they haven’t been able to get any new guys as well too so it’s been rough for this offseason and then unfortunately it gets even worse because we heard from a Jamal Murray during a recent interview with Team Canada after they had a loss that he still stalled in negotiation talks with the Denver Nuggets now obviously I’m sure they’ll come to sort some sort of conclusion but it really doesn’t seem like we’re getting any positive news from the nuggets and you know the nuggets have been a really great team for many years and obviously yic has been a superstar for the past four maybe even five years and he’s had multiple MVP awards but I don’t think yic alone and Jamal Murray honestly at times I I love Jamal Murray but he’s been inconsistent and he really needs to step it up if they want to have a true shot especially with this roster it’s been thinned out so much and they really don’t have any guys that are holding them together anymore aside from joic Murray I think Porter has been really inconsistent during these playoff runs he had a great Series against the Lakers and then really fell off after that and I I thought he played the some of the worst basketball I’ve ever seen against the Timberwolves I think he’s going to bounce back and he’s a great scorer and if he can really lock in on the defensive end as well too and he’s he’s a good rebounder as well I think that will be helpful for the nuggets and Gordon is a player who I thought really took a step up during this full kind of Championship run or playoff Run for the Nuggets so I think it it’s going to be tough I I really think the nuggets are going to need to make some moves for them to be a legitimate playoff threat and I know I’ve been really contemplating this during past videos of where the Nuggets fall I’ve still helded consistent that they’re a top four team in the Western Conference of this NBA but you know I’m getting more and more skeptical of that claim and I think I’ll still hold to that they I truly believe they’ll they’ll probably slide in somewhere at four but I think this team as constructed is going to win a championship and I think they could get bounced in the second round by some of these young teams coming up and also some of the teams that we’ve seen do really well like OKC uh I think the timber will still match up really well against them the Mavs hard to say I think the Mavs if they can get healthy they’ll be a threat for anyone so with that being said let’s just take quickly take a look at what we’re expecting from both Jamal Murray and uh yic in this offseason b or this upcoming season based off the the stats from from last here so we see here that Jamal Murray again had a pretty good playoff or a pretty good regular season honestly I don’t really remember him shooting 43% from three but that’s quite impressive and he shoot shot 48% from the field so I think Jamal Murray is obviously going to have a bigger offensive load without kcp and Reggie Jackson so we’re going to need to see those scoring numbers come up a bit and I also anticipate that he’s going to get to that 78 range from an assist standpoint and then if we tap over to jic here oops if we tap over to to joic he had obviously had an amazing season again uh but 26 points 12 Boards N assist I don’t really know how much better he can get I think he’s probably going to have to burden or take on some more of the scoring burden for the Nuggets along with Y uh along with Murray so between the two of them I expect both of their scoring numbers to go up I also maybe expect yish to lean down a bit because I know obviously he has that that crazy cardio and he was able to sustain that through the the playoffs also playing 40 plus minutes a game for most of the games but I think he’s going to need to lean down a bit just cuz he’s going to need to spend more time on the defensive end and also rebounding as well too just given I think this nuggets team is so lean so many of their young guys that they’re testing out right now in the summer league they’re having a rough time as well too injuries SAR sarch I don’t know we’ll see I’m very skeptical to SAR in terms of if he’s going to make any impact at all on the snugget team but overall I’m not raising the alarm Bells right now on the nuggets but I do think this team has the potential to really fall off from their Graces they’ve had over these mult over these past years in terms of championships MVPs deep playoff runs so I would be slightly worried if I was a nuggets fan and obviously we’ll have to see how they go what happens during this the rest of this offseason if they can make any moves throughout the season but with that being said I still hold firm nuggets in top four seed but again it’s it’s getting worse for the nuggets and obviously some unfortunate news with the injuries rough offseason so far but with that being said I’d love to hear everyone’s comments in terms of where they think the
