Friday when they were sputtering out of the gate Ellis and ker will be a great match up all day Ellis are looking for their first points almost 2 minutes in 10minute quarters here in the summer league 10 fouls to get to the bonus as well Timmy so C ke will be patient nice look from Philip palsky great recovery ell kby Jones knocks down the triple you only have two time out it’s not easy two half trying to find phip is a lot bigger yes I think that’s a fair assumption Mason Jones on the step side more than three minutes in and Ellis is on the board so all five Kings have scored before the Jazz make up the big three with Fox and some former latte Bulldogs in this game we’ll see Kenneth Lofton Jr we expect for Utah at a game-winning free throw the other night for Sacramento you think about how many shots Fox sabonis and D rozan will soak up maybe looking to see who can play around those guys here in Vegas Drew Carter PJ Mo KD George with you glad to be joined by the Utah and get to understand them a little bit better so uh it’s been fun supp would have been a lot more fun if we did the interview last game till they get untracked here summer league what do you feel like you learned from those few games yeah I think the number one thing that we learned was that the the young guys that we drafted are really competitive as we try to continue to help and get better at everything else no surprise will but Cody and Kyle in particular just looked and they’ve they’ve kind of taken the nerves off a little bit fair to say uh surprised and yet pleased to see that type of stuff is huge for us um and so we were thrilled to see him at that pit and uh chances of improving and becoming a three-point threat yeah absolutely where you guys got him in the second round yeah absolutely know Kyle was probably disappointed with how draft KN went what are your conversations with him like about so take that that disappointment or whatever emotions you have and channel it and you know don’t lose sight of it sometimes goes by the board will spend a lot of time in San Antonio Mano was wearing the 50s some of the guys that were such not good great players there’s there’s expectations that come with when where you’re drafted there’s chatter now but like most things in the world people uh for for you guys for the team and and for the coaches yeah it’s not easy um losing is no fun we’re in the NBA Seasons don’t always unfold the way you you want them to 82 games is a long time um and so how we uh there’s a lot of things that impact winning and losing exactly um it it’s not just when you win all the things that go with it so um we all have a lot of learning do this Young Guy’s doing very well Drew and he’s got fortunately he’s got Danny a and Justin and had a chance to do both play in G league and play the big te second in points behind only Tyler hansboro hey folks summer league ESPN 2 that’s at [Music] six Vision so he could see the whole picture which he says translated to the basketball court and helped him become a great passer Collier says he tries to just keep it simple he focuses 63 210 couple places had him as the number one broadcast with gets his shot stuff from the corner to the Lane he’s got to do a better job finishing just not strong enough a very different body than his brother different type of player than uh they know the college game I my their teammates that’s theed to come to Las Vegas uh in the summer so everybody’s here everybody saw Danny a sitting court side next to by Danny a now trying to do something similar with Utah back toback years where they got up to a really promising start and then sputtered down the stretch sitting on the bench with pop there is no doubt and Boston by the way we’re talking about giving credit when he was with M of getting a good shot and getting two possessions is really important in our leager just Wards off Ellis one playing in the golden one Center in Sacramento the other playing and intr valuable also gave some of these younger guys a chance to play with you know just CU someone struggles in summer league is not an indication of their future Jones with acket half shot just missed there’s no no way you can even be in the game and they’ve turned that around their defense has controled this game that’s why it’s so one-sided to this turnover we got 20 already uh and we’re halfway through it but again for for our viewers to to understand but uh just a horrendous break for for Denver right out of the shoot a guy that I I think frankly going they were C last year they lost Bruce Brown dep is thinning they’re going to be relying on some young guys phow with a two hand Stu filipowski step back pull up three rattles in Kyle filipowski starting to feel at five in of the year yeah no Harrison was a was a huge part we he he was him and dear the two guys uh that had been here since since his career uh and then to leave the league of minutes at you know 34 years old how he takes care of himself such a professional and I was listening to your uh your head coach see he knew what he could do but he’s so much improve now in terms of putting the ball on the floor and when you got somebody like domz Sam is going to be a two-way streak dear’s penetration his mid-range game going to open up those three-point Shooters and he’s willing to share the ball years number two in the league active player Demar de ro he’s done it for 11 years his game has grown and he came into the league as just a highflying athletic I’m going to get to the rim and now he can still do that on a I loaded the Western conferences I mean you guys win two fewer games in the year before you go from third to nth in the standings how much does that influence a decision like that great and that’s free agency and so dear was one of the the guys we targeted and you know he just does so much we’re excited for for what he can do and hopefully move us back up to identify him after he had a a really good year with the Lakers and then he’s grown even further credit to him talk a little bit more about the job that Monty and and assistant GM West Wilcox have done they have tweaked it uh Jaylen McDaniels comes over to improve in the west you talked about how how hard it was to to do that uh he listened to the guy that he hired he’s done an exceptional job uh already well you asked about Malik and his him resigning but another big resign for us this this uh this offseason was our best defensive year in a long time uh you know I know that’s big to him and you know he just does such a great job of knowing when to when to put Jay was who I was working with we Hadar D Roan as a young guy back in Toronto years ago money it’s here in Sacramento and you know we we got a lot of ways to go we we we don’t want to just uh you know lose in the first round like we did two years ago we want to keep advancing in the playoffs but the playing system as the eighth season it it didn’t happen but again uh I think that leaves uh some Hunger for your team quickly Devin cter what did you see what what do you like about him obviously he’s injured we we expect him back during the season but you know somebody who you know all those things Drew us to him and I think whatever it is that Mike is going not enough Joneses I know you could add one or two more but getting back to our game uh only three turnovers in the third quarter for the Utah Jazz uh the third after they got blitzed in the first half well they turned the defense around and took better care of the ball Drew Tim for me to imagine there’s not a place somewhere among 30 teams for was a a figure that he was the second Team allam all people want to talk about is what he can’t do talk about what he can do he does he’s young too one year in college uh at Colorado in the NBA so far has had something to do with Cody being such a highly touted Prospect another thing that didn’t hurt was a guy that you know we talked we got a run left for the black and gold black and yellow whatever you want to call Ito led by 26 at one point that there’s a little discussion going on there with uh with Yan Kean Ellis do maker Greg Odin the Marcus cousins and Andrew bogot all fouled out in some good decision I think by the way before then if I did have a stash I can’t remember 1886 uh close Drew that’s just rude okay Brazil and just an Absol see him for a long time where you forget where they are in Leandro Barosa one of the best two minutes left Taylor HRI still scoreless yes after conference Player of the Year and first state championship Ryan that’s right exactly right py swatted by Colby J the MVP and three still for Jones Timmy push shot goes back to a 15-point lead 19 Timmy Again kind of the fulcrum of this king’s offense because there going to be a lot of ties for the top four is Phil continuing to play hard into the fourth quarter and after that it’s total points so why not run it up like this Jones missed the three denies the n one for Kyle Philip you know that’s something getting a hockey team as well the Jazz will be sharing their building with the new Utah Hockey Club I don’t think it’s very very well before he passed away and it’s a great we’ll see let’s just bring WP and see if he’ll pick no no no interesting and Australia’s going to be uh again one of those teams but folks today
