let’s catch you up on everything that went down over the weekend um with a little summer league Sprint and let’s start with Friday night first pick Zachary rashay and the second pick Alex SAR facing off rash got things going early a nice little hook there 18 points five rebounds I was on the call with Doris and Mark Jones he he just looks Pro ready he looks Pro ready he’s been playing he’s been playing pro basketball you know majority of his life he’s probably played more pro basketball than he hasn’t if you look over the course of his career and that’s what you get from these international players and then here with Alex SAR with the rejection you know somebody compared him to Anthony Davis you know in the way that he could profile in the NBA if he hits his ceiling and I see that defensively so far four blocks for the number two overall pick all right let’s take a look at bronnie James taking on the number three overall pick Reed Shepard bronnie finishes with the dunk showing some bounce eight points in the game six of them coming in the first quarter so got the crowd excited early but I mean Reed Shepard was the one who really put on the show and I’m going to be really honest I I I was not familiar with his game not familiar with this game but it it’s the it’s the really the wiggle like we that’s what we talk about John Mor and Trey young took notice too you can shoot the way he does and have that kind of Wiggle That Curry said it the the better I shoot the faster I am cuz you got to get closer to me that gives me the space but oh my gracious Taran Shannon Jor good oh part of his 25 points as the Timberwolves would win that game that was between the Timberwolves and Pelicans that look personal moving on to the Cavs and Bucks oh that’s another body body catcher oh that was my favorite thing it was 25 years ago but in summer league trying to catch bodies oh that’s all you want let them know and then rounding out the weekend got the rockets and wizards yo Whitmore that’s what I was I was waiting to see wh he was putting on a show I’m sorry I I love to see young players that play in the league come back and actually show let me show you what I’m doing not that I’m too cool if you got to do it your third year playing summer league I mean e mayoka was uh smiling on the sidelines he got a lot of talented young Talent yeah as you should look I played in the NBA finals and went to Summer League the next year right so that’s a part of the process yeah he should have been and wh Whit more 25 points eight rebounds four assists in that win it was a big time opportunity for some players to Showcase their skills on the first weekend of Summer League IE hawz junor heading into a second year for Miami poised for a leap so so was Brandon Miller for the Hornets dton connect Reed Shepard as of course we talked about and Stefan Castle all had solid debuts [Music] [Applause] I’m [Applause]
