question for Jaylen Jaylen were you surprised to be left off Team USA and what was your reaction to that when it happened I wasn’t surprised but my reaction was fun I was happy for D way um it’s dope to have so much of like our our guys on there so I was happy for those guys um but I wasn’t surprised you tweeted at Nik what was that about um do you think they had any role in you being left off I do for sure I got it’ll be more stuff to come with that um but as of now uh I’m not going I’m not going to comment on it is this more of a motivation for you now AB are you all fired up I mean Super fired up you know I got all the motivation in the world to just come out and improve so I love it honestly what do you plan to do the rest of the summer I mean get ready what do you think of kind of bringing everybody back and making another one yeah just continue to work um just check in with the guys and uh see what their schedules are their availability are I’ve already like talked to Al and talked to some of the guys to see like when they get back in the gym I think next I’ll probably be at Payton’s wedding um but um just continue to do what we always been doing build a great culture great energy get chry amongst our group we got a special amount of guys and we’re running it back this year so looking forward to it has the worn off wining the championship you talk riding the definitely still riding the high it’s been a great summer you know like in that that feeling that of finally getting over that hump it’s great but now it’s kind of coming to an end it’s like everybody starting back at Ground Zero so it’s almost forgotten about and now we just got to build from day one again Jason’s talked about how winning a championship feels like a huge wave has been lifted off his shoulders do you feel that as well like it’s alleviated a burden um yes um I do but then like you get right when that burden gets alleviated is you get right more you get more motivation to follow it so um for me it’s back to ground one like so my mindset is almost like you know Championship it’s it’s over now now we got to get back to work did you reach out to Derek congratula him and what was the balance for you between sharing some of your frustrations in the process but also congratulating him in that moment absolutely I called Dereck right away I know um just to make sure there’s no confusion like my love for you um and all of that you know I mean so like he knew that and he did and um but you know you know got to make anything public but me and DW are [Music] good Mick ramping up Sixers ramping up is that even I mean it just seems like it’s going to be even more of a challenge but the challenge to to repeat are you fired up by that like motivated by that absolutely uh you know a lot of teams are getting better and it takes a lot to be able to to to put the the ribbon on top and win a championship so we just got to take it one game at a time um there’s no guarantees there no prom is um so I’m excited to start the process and the process kind of Starts Now get back to work you put that back on your shoulder that same motivation you have going into the season before um you connect with your guys um you try to build great chemistry and great energy going take sacrifice again for the next year and I’m excited to be a part of that always have been always will be a team guy uh and that’s where I put my my foot first thank you

    I initially thought JB had summer plans why he was left off and that it was a mutual understanding.
    Knowing that it was not his will to be left off says a lot about how corrupt the process is. If Nike can influence the selection committee to disenfranchise a US citizen from being selected for the Olympics then that tells you all you need to know. Very disappointed in Grant Hill, Steve Kerr, all the other coaches and players who stand by and allow this to happen. For all the things these guys stand up for in the name of social justice, it's all a show if they can't stand up for a fellow player. Today for me, tomorrow for you. Knowing who i am, if i were in their shoe, I'd take a stand. I was already half way out the door but no more nba for me.

    It's a business decision. When you speak about Ethics and Nike, when Kyrie, not you, were the subject, on a global scale, the US team can not risk bringing someone on board representing the US and saying something out of pocket, whether it is correct or not. Countries can not afford to take the risk with someone who has exhibited a lack of control, composure, on a global scale. Especially, with the amount of superstars they have on the team, they know, they don't need another superstar to win…. So your lack of self control in coming to Kyrie's defence made their decision easy…. Olympics is big business and they believe with the stars they already have, you are not worth the risk…..

    Really cool of him to show up for the Summer League, that was nice to see. Gotta be wild to be drafted into this org, or signed for the Summer, trying to make a G-league slot, and have the FMVP courtside. That doesnt happen often.
