Knicks Make SHOCKING Move! Miles McBride’s Future REVEALED… | Knicks News

[Music] this is shocking according to reports the Knicks have just signed campaign to a veteran minimum contract we’re going to break down why the Knicks made this signing miles McBride’s future with of the new content and now let’s get started the Knicks have just signed campaign when I first heard about this signing I was a little bit confused shocked of course because the Knicks already have so many guards on their team jayen Brunson Dante de vinchenzo Duce McBride Tyler KCK do we really need to add another guard even if it’s a veteran guard like campaign yes he has playoff experience and I understand why the Nick signed him his defense that Under head coach Tom thibo especially when they need a guard Off the Bench that can do something campaign fits the bill he also has a very good relationship with Mel Bridges when you add all of those things up together it does make sense why the Knicks made this signing but before we go into this a little bit further let’s break down these latest reports about the Nicks signing campaign according to Shams he States free aging guard campaign has agreed to a one-year $3.1 million deal with the New York Knicks Ian Bagley of SNY reported the following the Knicks used the veterans minimum exception to sign point guard campaign Nicks also had registered interest in free agent point guard Titus Jones Nicks liked among other things that pay has playoff experience 47 playoff games in the past four years so one thing is absolutely clear here one of the main reasons that the Knicks added pain was because he adds playoff experience to this roster something that we need because absolutely this next year we are headed back to the postseason Bagley continues here by stating with pain on the roster the Knicks have 13 players on NBA contracts and one player on a two-way deal in the regular season teams can carry a maximum of 15 players on regular contracts and three two-way players so the Knicks still have a lot of moves that they can make and they still have room on their roster to add impactful players and I don’t think the Knicks are done yet They just added somebody on a veteran minimum contract because of that they still could pull off a trade to get that Center that we need on this team shout out to these great NBA insiders for giving us the following updates about the Knicks and their signing of campaign now again to be honest when I heard about the signing it really didn’t make sense to me if I think about it right now if the roster doesn’t change and these are the players we’re going to head into next season with it still doesn’t make even more sense because how many minutes is campaign going to play where is he going to play is he gonna play over Duce McBride I know a lot of people always like to say Tom Fido loves his vets over anybody else but get this miles McBride just broke out last season Under head coach Tom thibo he just saw that he remembers that and he remembers Deuce showing up in the postseason because of all of that do you think he’s GNA put campaign in front of him or do you think he’s gonna have Duce McBride still come off the bench and still be one of the primary players coming off the bench now I don’t know about Tyler kak in my opinion if the Knicks are signing campaign that means kic is likely not going to see anytime because even though I like that kid and I believe he should see some time for the Knicks next season if the Knicks are signing vets and Tom thibo loves his vets maybe that’s where you see the shift maybe Off the Bench you see campaign you see Duce McBride you see Dante de Vincenzo you see Josh Hart and you see Jericho Sims coming off the bench as the bench unit for the Knicks next season maybe Tom thibo throws in a couple of changes there depending on who they’re facing but that could be the lineup and honestly if that is the case it would really rub me the wrong way because I wanted [ __ ] to get some minutes I thought he deserved some minutes and if nothing else changed in terms of the Knicks getting another guard I think kic definitely would have had some minutes given to him in terms of next season coming off of the bench but now with campaign I’m really not sure anymore but another thing I was thinking about after the Nick signed campaign was what were they doing after that what was going to be the move after signing campaign because we all heard it we all know the Knicks are still trying to make a trade for that Center position either for a backup or a starting center and if that’s the case if you sign campaign especially to a veterans minimum deal that means potentially other players on your roster could be available for a trade the number one player that came to mind in my head was Duce McBride I immediately started thinking about him his future and potentially if he could be used in a trade to get another Center on this team but thanks to Ian Bagley he was quick with his reporting and he gave us the following information about Duce McBride even after the Nick signed campaign let’s take a look at exactly what Bley had to say here according to Ian Bagley he States the following one note on Miles McBride I don’t think that the Knicks are signing campaign is a direct reflection of how they view McBride they had no interest in including McBride in the Mel Bridges deal and have said this off season that they view McBride as an off ball guard who can also handle the ball so even though I think that this does signal the fact that the Knicks are looking to make a trade and they are very close to making that trade and I don’t know what potential picks are going to be included however what I do believe is that Duce McBride will not be included in any trade moving forward the Knicks obviously like him they want him on this team they want him coming off the bench they value him as a player that can play on Ball and off ball as Ian Bagley stated and if you have that in a player like Duce and he’s getting paid very little yearby year because the Knicks were very smart with his contract I think it makes all the sense in the world to hold on to Deuce utilize him and potentially if another player becomes available and that player is an Allstar and dece McBride is the shift the factor that leads to you getting that player maybe then you make the trade but at this point in time the Knicks do not want to include miles McBride in any trade if this signing means that the Knicks are going to make a trade and get that Center that they absolutely need on this roster then I’m okay with the move but only if that’s what happens if that doesn’t happen and we just added campaign to just have another guard Off the Bench this is going to be a move that I scratch my head about and I shake my head at because as of right now I don’t understand understand it I don’t really like it much and even if you want to sell me that he’s going to give us all of this playoff experience I beg you guys to tell me how much is he going to play for Tom tiido how long how many minutes each and every game because that’s what I need to know because if it’s not enough to see that playoff experience then I would question the move all together right now I’m hoping this means a trade is on the horizon so that’s why I’m not making such a big fuss about the trade and I’m not making a big deal of it I still think Leon Rose in this Nicks front office have other moves they’re going to make this was move one I’m waiting for move two once I see what that move is and what player we get then I’ll be able to judge this move entirely but until then I’ll hold my judgment but if it’s just campaign I really will not be happy but I’m not going to count out Leon Rose every single time I think I have him figured out and I think I understand the moves he’s going to make he changes everything on me and he makes a move I never saw coming but the Knicks are not done they’re going to make another trade in my opinion that trade is going to be for a center and they’re going to get that player on this team miles McBride is not going to be included in that deal because as Ian Bagley stated if they wanted to trade Deuce they would have done so already but they don’t want to they want to hold on to him so that means you can take him off of your trade list the Knicks are going to make another trade but Deuce will not be included that really is a heads scratcher because it begs the question what is going to be the trade package that the Knicks are going to offer to any team to get a starting caliber Center on this roster I don’t know what that trade package is going to be but I’m very excited to see what Leon Rose in this Nick front office is going to do but what about you guys
