Phoenix Suns Rookie Oso Ighodaro On Showing Out In Game 2 Of NBA Summer League,

you seen a lot of things that You’ done but running the break and transition hadn’t seen that until today take me through that and how that play evolved how comfortable are you in that Lo of pushing the ball and finding out yeah I know they brought me and Ryan here to play defense get deflections be active so try to get Steals and run I got it still pushed it I feel comfortable spent time working on my handle working on that so pushing and uh twok ran hit him on the break curious your just to the physical part of it I know you got to the basket a couple times and no foul call and a foul call how are you adapting to that part of maybe even have the whistle was blown NBA colge I mean I played in the Big East where we don’t call any fouls so I mean it’s it’s not too bad but it’s physical for sure um I love the competitiveness of it um going back and forth not too worried about call I just want to go out there and compete coach was telling us you know you didn’t have a ton of rebounds on the stat sheet but you were doing a great job boxing now how much is that been kind of an emphasis for you coming into this yeah especially this game Oscar sheu is a obviously Elite rebounder so I just wanted to make sure I didn’t let him get any offensive rebounds on me and that was just in the front of my mind so couple times I boxed around and my teammates did a great job coming down and grab it um I know I’d have to use my advantages and just being holding him on the box that was was mine so Ryan was telling us about David rod and how he’s been useful for you guys in terms of you know helping you keep your heads on straight that type of thing how has he been in terms of just that exact thing yeah he’s been great just talking to us um telling us little things we’re good game we he knows the he he’s been there before so he knows the game’s going fast for us right now and just trying to help us help us out as much as he can you’re quite the communicator on the defensive end is that something that comes natural to you and is it tougher in summer league where you don’t really have film on any of these guys yeah it’s definitely a little bit tougher playing with guys I’ve never played with before and just we don’t have a complete feel for each other yet but I’m just trying to make up for that with my talk and my voice our coach was telling us Colin has been around the team a little bit as well what have you have you been able to play with him practice with him at all very much yeah he’s been great um I looked up to him at Villanova when he was there my freshman year and I’ve just been asking questions trying to learn as much as I can just anytime there’s older guys or coaches around I’m trying to learn I know that why me and Ryan have a lot to learn right now and we just want to as fast as we can ask a bunch of questions and learn so we can be out there on the floor
