Houston Rockets Sign Jack McVeigh My Thoughts!!

yo what’s going on guys this is Houston Sports Talk Back another video today today the Houston Rockets have signed Jack McVey to a two-way contract uh a player who is from Australia and he’s been playing in the NBL uh this is also someone who um which is you know kind of funny uh has been playing with jock landel Houston Rocket Center uh in the Olympics uh ja Lando just had a crazy game today he had like 20 points seven rebounds six assists and shot like 9 for 12 against USA they just played USA I don’t know how Jack uh McVey did but I know jock uh Houston Rockets player had an outstanding game but let’s talk about Jack McVey uh as the two teammates on the Australian team are now going to be teammates on the Rockets I don’t know how long that will end up because there have been some trade rumors with Jack landale uh but Jack McVey is signing a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets which has been reported by ESPN uh McVey is a 68 uh Ford who is 28 years old and is coming off the best season of his professional career with the Tasmania Tasmania Jack jumpers he led them to the 2024 NBL championship and earned Championship Series MVP honors over the 2023 24 season McVey averaged 17 points per game he also averaged 5 and a half rebounds per game and he shot 50 near 53% from the floor and he shot 36.4% from three and like I said he is a part of uh the Australian uh 2024 Paris Olympics team and here here here’s numbers from their loss to USA that just happened yesterday he scored nine points in the USA win so yeah I mean I I I love the uh I love the addition for uh I love the addition for the Rockets this was the last two-way spot that was open the Rockets gave the first two-way spot to genian Williams who was one of the two-way guys last year they gave the other two-way spot to undrafted rookie nefale Dante who I’m I have not been very impressed with in training camp sorry in in summer summer uh the summer league so far he’s a guy that has done well um he he’s done okay but the you know he hasn’t given uh the summer league team a lot of time but I do love the diss in is Jack McVey I also really like janathan Williams as well who who did some really good things for the Rockets last year um and I’m sure the two-way contracts two two-way contract guys from last year like Germain Samuels and Nate Hinton might get a chance on the training camp roster this year um you know cuz there are going to be some other guys that will get a chance uh to to be on the Rockets roster uh I think you’ll probably see uh 20 20 total guys on the training camp roster so with 20 training camp R guys on the roster you have your 15 standard contract guys you have three two-way contract guys and then you’re going to have two other extra players on the roster so look I think that could be it you could that could be Nate Hinton and that could be Germaine samou but or you can go look at a guy like Orlando Robinson who’s absolutely done amazing in the summer league for the Rockets so uh if the Rockets are going to add in two other players going into training camp I would say Orlando Robinson and probably Nate Hinton were are two guys that I I think the Rockets would probably add in after bringing in Jack McVey for the last two-way contract spot but i’ I’ve been really impressed what I’ve seen from Orlando Robinson in the summer League um also really excited for Jan Williams we’re just talking about the two-way contract guys I really like what I’ve seen from so far in the summer league from Orlando Robinson uh not a big fan of Neal Dante just because of the the you know the minute restrictions that comes with him and also the injury problems that he’s had in his college career but I love Jack McVey I like janathan Williams I really love Orlando Robinson would love to see the Rockets bring him in because he’s done some terrific work with this summer league with the summer league team so uh look I think the Rockets have some really nice guys on on two-way deals especially with Jack McVey and Jonathan Williams but I’d love to see Orlando Robinson get added to the list let me know your thoughts in the comment section and peace out go Rockets
