Is This Roddy’s Last Shot And Can Oso And Dunn Improve Their Shots?
[Music] MCO live one last time from Las Vegas our residency at cira is coming to a close but we will give you at least 50 good let’s say we’ll give you 30 good minutes but we’re we’ll probably go 50 55 it’s all I can promise you today uh I’m ASO that’s Gerald that’s Flex uh want to give a shout out to Leo Jay Woods Shantel uh and uh the group in the chat Shantel and Leo uh hiding from work to watch us we appreciate that uh this morning I guess it’s this morning I have no clue I’ve lost sense of all time and space but uh guys uh summer league continues today Suns versus Pacers and I need to know m is this David Rody fighting for his life in that last roster spot today after a uh I’ll just say an abysmal first uh summer league performance from David uh is he is he fighting for his life here I mean I don’t I don’t know if we’re to that point but yeah he’s got to play better shoot better at least than he did the other night I think when larza was talking about the Warriors and their switching defense he was saying we didn’t get into multiple actions and that’s where David Rody will get a chance to shine a little bit more um so I think hopefully this Pacers team is not a team that does the same thing and Rody just needs to make some shots like he Vince larza said he felt like Rody got some good looks if he’s able to knock those down he puts himself in a better position but we did report a few weeks ago that you know it’s not out of the question that Rody could be waved nir could be waved or traded that type of thing if they feel there’s a free agent out there that can help them as of right now I think they think their roster is set but if Rody continues to play poorly that could change yeah I I I mean listen fighting for your life as in regards to basketball terms um I don’t know if we have quite there yet but it’s getting it’s getting tough It’s one game it’s one game um you want the whole thing to play out but ultimately the reality is that he has to now look at every game as an opportunity to either solidify that spot or potentially you know have have to look for new home so for Ry I feel bad cuz it’s a tough spot to be in as a player um but it’s just one game I think like you said different actions uh different flow of the game couple bucket here couple bucket there it’s a whole different thing so I’m roing for him to come out today and show that uh he has the potential to be that 15th guy uh I say this with all due respect uh he looked like Walmart ish Wayne Right In game one come on and you’re going to need need him to show a lot more uh today and uh if he plays in the remaining Summer League games because you’re your goal is a championship this year and every roster spot could wind up being a L important for this squad and you can’t you can’t essentially waste one on the hope that he developed in into something for his sake I hope he shows out today proves it hope they get into some of those actions but uh let’s hear from Summer League head coach Vince larza on his thoughts about David Rony I think we want multiple guys handling um you know David handled a little bit um you know in transition and his shooting like I think he got really good looks and I think his his looks are going to fall you know I was proud of our group I think we got up 323 we want to try to get up more and you know the hopefully the odds swing back into our favor a little bit but I loved his looks um you know uh and we want him just to keep on firing away all right so the interesting thing about that is what we just said it’s one game and and he can improve on it he got good looks I think the main thing from that quote that I took was we got up 32 threes okay and so it’s that’s a sign that they’re more worried about the quality of shots they’re getting and the type of shots they’re getting than the actual result right now so you know at the end of the day they’re trying to implement a system with Bud that gets you more threes and in that sense if that’s what you’re doing sometimes you’re going to have a guy that’s going to have a bad game like that because you’re trying to run a specific look and uh he got good shots he didn’t go in I like I like what I heard and so that’s why I’m not burying him yet that’s that’s the encouraging thing to me is I I asked that question about David Rody and he wound up just divulging yeah we got up 32 threes that’s around what we want and and that’s not in a 48 minute game that’s in a 40 minute Summer League game so the fact that they’re even in summer league their assistant coaching staff is already on the same page of we need to get up more threes that’s encouraging to me and they did it against the switch heavy defense which as we know those types of defenses are harder to generate threes um so that that is encouraging to me I know it’s just little things that you from Summer League quotes and stuff like that but um it does indicate you know where their coaching staff is aiming to push this roster yeah and I mean if David Rody hits on a few of those threes today we could be having a different conversation but one name that people had been monitoring in terms of the Suns uh and a potential final roster spot if it did open up was campaign he signed with the Knicks yesterday uh he and male seemed happy about that yeah good for them man that’s that’s that’s fun and that’s a nice depth piece for the Knicks I think um they could have used maybe a more experienced backup guard Off the Bench behind Brunson um and you know as we know firsthand from 2021 there’s no accounting for Good Vibes like you can’t qualify that so you know what’s funny too about this business guys is um and I’ve seen this happen so many times you’ll have a team show interest in a player and and some it’ be like 3 years removed yeah but somehow that play always finds his way back to that place remember the summer that cam was a free agent off the finals run the biggest threat to get campaign was the New York kns they really wanted them and so three years later he ends up right where he probably you know so good for cam um but yeah I I just want to throw that out there because it happens with us quite a bit too oh it happened in my life too my wife waited 11 years to actually date me so but eventually I got there so conat congratulations campaign uh so you guys bring up Vibes right and and the importance of it who are the vibe guys on this roster I know we didn’t have it on our on our rundown but I think it’s an interesting question because I think we may have a couple of them here at Summer Le yeah I think the rookies are heading in that direction I know some people are kind of cringing at the whole you know Rebirth of the twins thing but there’s something to be said for youthful exuberance and energy and just even naiveness like that’s that’s something that’s fun for the older guys to witness and be a part of um and I also think like Monte Morris is another guy that might be lowkey of Vibes guy I I feel like we were talking with Adam marz the other day and he was saying like yeah everybody all his teammates everybody loves this guy and we kind of got that sense when we were talking with him as well some of the quotes he was giving us were just pure gold so I hope that he is another Vibes guy especially as a more established guy I think a guy under the radar if he has any of his brother miles in him is is Mason too because miles was a Vibes guy uh and a unique individual uh so maybe we’ll see it there on the other side we are going to talk about dun and Oso their shots and how are they’re working on improving them and what they’re what their motivation to play well is here in summer league but I want to tell you about our friends over at mintmobile like to checkout for 35 or $35 no 35% off polarized sunglasses uh summer league today Suns Pacers uh 1 p.m. I expect a full breakdown now gentlemen uh analysis of the Pacers roster here in summer league now we’re just going to focus on uh Ryan dun andos so e Garo here and one thing that has been a question mark that we’re looking to get answered and we talked about the three-point shooting for the team and how many they want to get up but Ryan Dunn uh is working on three-point shot and he had this to say at practice yesterday just reps repetitions you know getting shots up in game and practice sh after practice trying to get much as that in um I think a mechanically just keeping it smooth um try to overthink just let it go and have confidence shoot like I think my form is there it’s just getting the Reps like I said like you said if it’s once once it’s start hitting it starts hitting it’s just find that Shooter’s touch and keep going you know like kind of like I’ve been shooting all my life so it’s just kind of keep those reps up and keep going from there Flex you’ve been a coach you’ve worked with guys on their shooting uh what’s more important for them those reps that you get in practice or the live action that you get in a game like summer league today oh that’s a great question um I worked with shooters that weren’t that good and the practice reps was what man because if you’re not practicing and you’re getting the Reps and practice on the court it’s not going to look good so I I think there’s a flow to it you you get the Reps in practice you get the confidence mechanically he’s sound and then it trans over transitions into the game So eventually they’re all going to matter it’s a it’s a process but uh with with Ryan I think it’s just reps man he just got to shoot it shoot it shoot it shoot it but if mechanics are good like what what’s making it where he’s struggling shooting because is that does that mean it’s a mental thing does that just mean he hasn’t gotten enough shots up and it’s simply a comfort thing like I was a terrible shooter and continue to be a terrible shooter and never had a good coach like youlex but it sounds like he has the intangibles with it but why why isn’t it working well I I think it’s uh I think we have put this this aspect of his game on such a not a pedestal the opposite of a pedestal that’s the right word because I I do feel like you look at his volume of attempts at Virginia it was so low that like yeah the percentage was bad and Y was bad his first year there as well but the number of attempts he took was so low he could have you know if he’d have made five or six more suddenly we have a drastically different percentage so I think for him this is the first time in his career where he’s going to be taking maybe two to three attempts a game uh and he might not even take that many with the actual Sons that’s right um so he’s going to have to get used to that to being able to produce on a low number of attempts unlike he was unable to do in college but I do think we need to bear in mind like it’s been a very limited sample size in college he’s had one Summer League game where he shot 0 for three and two of them looked good uh one of them was halfway down and lipped out I I think if he goes out there and shoots two for four today suddenly the conversation drastically shifts and it’s just one more Summer League game so I I do think yes there is something to the effect of mechanics look good now the mental piece has to be there as well you get that from getting these rips and seeing a few fall uh and hopefully we’ll see that today yeah to G’s point 513s in this entire college career with Tony benett in Virginia 51 that’s it that’s two years of basketball 51 threes less than one a game like so I’m looking at Ryan here’s what I’m doing this is what I’m doing and this is the shooting coach of me how I would work with kids okay I said this on the previous show I won 30% from Ryan that’s my Baseline and we need to get better eventually but if we could start at that number we’re good he took three the other day in my mind and this is what I would tell my kids we’re working in set of 10 when you get to 10 we’ll see how many you made if he goes three for four today guess what in a set of 10 he’s going to shoot 30% so sometimes you got to simplify it man don’t get too caught up in the of for three let it play out a couple more games and re-evaluate when you’ve got 10 15 threes under your belt are are we overreacting to the s that he shot college or does the free throw struggles lead you to believe that that it’s more than just that because and we haven’t seen him at the free throw line yet either so it does but the free throw sample was also a small size so it’s I I think with the mechanics that he has with the shot form with the fact that he and the Suns believe that it will come around um I I do think it’s going to be something that will eventually come around but it is going to take time it’s not just going to happen you know his rookie season he’s not going to go out there and shoot 37% corre it is a weakness in his game it’s something he’ll have to work on but um we can’t just look at it through the prism of we need you to hit threes now for this particular team because that’s not really fair to realistic expectations for a 21-year-old’s development um so yeah he’s he’s super motivated though and coach larza talked about kind of where that motivation comes from I think he’s really really determined um you know uh the thing that stood out to me as he’s telling me about his brother and how his brother really is his inspiration on how to be a pro and you know that he really feels like he owes it to his brother and his entire family to really take advantage of this opportunity because of all they’ve done for him and all they’ve done to help him get here and the guidance they’ve given him and I I think that’s really special you know you see a young player who’s really thinking about others and working you know because of you know the other people around him and he’s been in the gym non-stop working to get better so he’s a man of his word and uh I think it’s going to really pay off for him in the long run so this is the part of Summer League that I love is because you know we saw the social clip that the son sent out of his phone call with the front office brass when he got drafted and saying I’m going to live in that gym just the uh the P the genuine passion that he has for the game and for proving himself um and we saw it again after summer league when he was talking about you know my heart was pounding just getting his first summer league action like this kid is so genuine and so when I asked Lars about that I thought it was cool that he brought up his brother Justin who played in Major League Baseball for a few years um and just feeling like that someone who set an example for him and it’s pretty cool it’s always cool to see where these guys motivations come from because you know in the NBA everybody has an interesting story about how they got there um so I I do feel like Ryan Dunn and this is something I’ve heard from multiple people within the Suns like they just love this kid’s character as well fle Flex I I don’t mean to put you on the spot but I know you have similar situation your your brothers played baseball and you obviously played Hoops I mean how much how much does that motivate when you have a sibling uh that kind of shows you that way an older sibling you going to give me emotional cuz you know what’s crazy I was thinking about that as I was hearing that I had a brother that was playing for the Tigers he passed away um but that was my inspiration man my two brothers were my everything those those were my Idols they were my mentors um they they were Gods to me growing up and so when I got my opportunity to kind of pay it back I didn’t cheat the court I didn’t cheat practice I didn’t cheat the games I didn’t cheat workouts um I gave them my all and even when they weren’t there I I adapted this this mentality that they could be here cuz they were good at that they would just sneak up in not even tell me they’re there right so I would play every game like this is these guys are here watching and I know what they’re going to say to me if I give a poor effort so um that’s really cool to hear man and to G’s Point his character is A1 that’s everything I’ve heard about this kid his character is A1 and in in Pro Sports when you when you talk to these athletes which you do a lot G no one talks to more athletes than my boy G money right I don’t know you’re pretty close with all the phone calls you’re on too here’s the thing what’s the what’s your why like that’s usually the separator between a lot of how these careers go what’s your why um we know his why right it’s it’s it’s clear family his dedication his passion his heart so that’s that’s a good thing to have man yeah and the drive of an older sibling like how many times have we hurt like Michael Jordan chasing his brother the example that his older brother set um and this is what Ryan had to say when I asked him about that I’ll say for my family and just my my brother as well you know watching him being in the gym you know know me loving basketball you know having that time where I really just live in the gym and I love that process um you know now it’s time to just you know live in the gym but also recover and take care of your body and all that stuff being a pro but you know just con from my family outside just being in the gym and keep working hard as most as I can there a big reason why I don’t worry about his shot or things that have to develop because he’s obviously highly motivated and it means something we’ve seen kids come in that were drafted by this organization where you could tell that basketball and succeeding may not have been the number one priority right and then we’ve seen guys like Devin Booker who you knew his number one priority was to be as good as possible right uh and obviously family has to do with that Melvin uh obviously uh his father is somebody that uh you know kind of pushed him and and that he wanted to live up to those hopes so I I don’t have any doubt that this kid’s going to put in the effort and hopefully the results come along with it yeah absolutely and and I do think like it’s it’s Ryan and it’s Oso as well cuz we’ve gotten that sense from so every time that we talked to them um you know they’ve been talking about you know we’re going to be asking a lot of questions we’re just here to learn like this summer league experience is all about us just getting rips and experience and learning and growing and all this stuff and yeah that’s kind of standard for summer league for any of these rookies coming in um but they just have that genuine sense of humility and and eagerness to learn that’s exciting if you’re a Suns fan yeah and I I loved hearing Oso talk about his floater didn’t succeed in game one uh but he had this to say about yeah when I was younger I played like pickup at the wreck and stuff and the older guys would be blocking my shot so I try to get to a little floater and I just kind of kept working on it and then at Marquette I spent a lot of lot of time on it so some a shot that I trust shoot at a high level obviously I didn’t shoot at a high level last game but it’s a shot that I like to shoot when you get when when did it reach out like your second year at more when you started shooting a further back or when did it really click that you can shoot it that far out yeah coach Barry and marqu we’ extended super far even farther than I’d ever shoot in a game just to be comfortable with it and then against drop coverages and blitzes Tyler would hit me in the pocket and then I would just shoot that and read the defense so I just I got comfortable cuz it’s an automatic shot against the drop so I know people are concerned about this shot but me personally I’m not I actually think it’s a tool that could be effective in in the league as long as he’s smart about it and he seems like one of the smarter guys uh we’ve had in a while yeah I mean having a shot against the drop like he mentioned is a good thing is something that he’s comfortable with um you know I I do think like there are concerns about his like he doesn’t really have a jump shot to speak of um and it’s because he has developed that push shot to the point that he has it’s not like pretty looking in terms of the mechanics of it but it goes in at a high rate I watched a lot of film on him from Marquette after they drafted him and it was just like this kid has never seen a push shot that he did not like he going to get it up uh and I I think that’s something that he can build on hopefully it’s something that he can develop a you know a set jumper as well down the line but again that’s going to take a lot of time and in the meantime you know there’s nothing wrong with your range being in the lane around the basket we’ve seen a lot of elite Rim rollers do exactly that and if he has something to bridge the gap between dunking and you know the Low Man’s playing me low that push shot can be useful yeah it’s it’s deadly it’s a deadly shot he hits it a high clip and here’s the thing you don’t get to the NBA you don’t get to the NBA with just that shot right he’s got so many things in his game that is at a such a higher level than just talking about the push shot his ability to bring the ball up his ability to do things out of dho he talked about watching some of the bigs and how they play he is going to have to develop at some point a a a change up right that’s his fast ball going to have to develop a change up but his his IQ is so high I just trust that kid I trust that that kid is gonna make the right play and sometimes just making the right play is is is better than the skill set I have one request when he hits one of those push shots at home I want push it push it real good to play as his uh as his bucket making sound but you brought up the fact that he studies some of these other big men and uh Oso talked about or excuse me larza talked about learning uh what Oso can learn from from Plum and nerk no I mean I I really couldn’t think of a a better guy than Mason Mason’s always been one of the better connectors of getting the ball from one side of the other being a great back door passer um you know being physical and and versatile on the defensive end um he’s someone I’ve always enjoyed watching play so I think that’s going to be a great guy for him to kind of learn from and you know nerk too just nk’s ability with the ball his back door passing his skill set the he uses his feet and his hips to set screens really two guys for Oso to learn a lot from yeah I think it’s interesting because they Oso does kind of have a combined skill set that’s similar to both bigs right and I think there is a a great value in having those veterans that can help him continue to to learn and improve that game absolutely when you have that many cerebral passing bigs together he’s going to pick up things from them because we we’ve seen the clips on Twitter of him breaking down film and how smart Oso already is in terms of reading coverages I I had kind of asked him as well um we you know we want to have the clip for this but I had asked him as well about like you know you were at Marquette for years with Tyler collect building that chemistry um what kind of goes into that process and he was saying honestly it’s just about having smart high IQ players on the court and you’re able to build it pretty quickly uh obviously here in summer league you don’t have a ton of established guards to work with that’s why Oso is bringing the ball up a little bit more why they’re going to try and use him more of an offensive Hub here but I do think at the next level with cerebral players like Devin Booker Kevin Durant Bradley Beal and larza said this like we think his skill set is going to stand out a lot more with our regular Suns team than here in an environment like summer league so that is encouraging um and it’s also encouraging the fact that he went somewhere where he played for Shaka smart who was very focused on getting him to watch film I asked alsoo the same question about learning from the Suns big um and he brought up that he actually watched some film of some of these guys in college yeah I watched a lot of pl’s film uh shock would have me watch this film a lot at marqu so little they’re both very smart players and they do a lot of different things well so I’m going to try to learn as much as I can ask them a bunch of questions that’s this whole process I’ve just been asking a ton of questions we have so many guys who have spent so many time so much time in the league so I’m just excited to learn get better your point about shakka I read somewhere that he was hitting up David Adelman with the Nugget to learn things about how they did five out actions with ner so they could Implement that for you was that something he ever discussed with you or told you hey watch this guy’s film or this guy’s film or anything yeah I think I’ve watched every big that can dribble in the league I’ve watched all their films and just to have coaches like that that push that and encourage me to learn and be better has been amazing yeah I mean he talks about watching film right flex and we saw those clips that Gerald mentioned of him having a play showed to him that he’s never seen before and calling exactly what’s going to happen have you been around a player like that and what do you think it means for Oso uh come regular season being that cerebral about where guys are going to be I’ve been around a couple players that were like that and it’s scary it it really is it’s scary when they get that high level thinking there was a clip that also that you guys are talking about where they’re going to run a pin down for Paul George and he diagnosed the pin down based on how close he was to the Baseline far left and he was like his exact words was PG is way too far out of the play and that’s a tip that he’s actually in the play he’s trying to play posum right and so man that’s happening he didn’t even see the play right right he doesn’t know what’s coming but he can just look at it and diagnose it and that’s incredibly beneficial when you’re on the court with Devin Booker Kevin Durant and Brad Beal those three I’m going to make a here’s a hot okay Devin Booker Kevin Durant and Brad beer are going to be pounding the table to get more minutes with Oso okay at some point in the season and I don’t think it’s in a malicious way I think that it’s just going to get to a point where they’re going to be like man this guy’s IQ is so good he makes us better so he needs to be on the court with us and and I think he’ll get an opportunity too because larza pointed out obviously that we feel like he’s going to shine more with our main players which suggests that he will get an opportunity for minutes at some point even if it’s not right away because plumbley and nerk are more established like nerk was uncharacteristically healthy last year uh and Mason is coming off a season where he missed two months with the MCL sprain he came back sooner than he should have um but you never know if if somebody goes down due to injury if Oso is just playing that well he’s going to get his opportunity and so the fact that he has already been since College under Shaka studying various guys film including his new teammate Mason like that’s beneficial for everybody coach dream G yeah I feel I feel like that’s why he may be at a disadvantage in summer league because Summer League is much more chaotic you have no time with it really to practice with your guys I mean it’s it’s a handful of practices so I don’t think we’re going to see the best out of him here because I don’t think it’s a situation that’s set up for the way he views the game and the way he looks at it hey on the other side of the break we are going to talk to Josh aogi not live we talk to him uh yeah he’s he’s here he’s in the pool back there no we talked to him the other day at summer league and got some interesting uh uh interesting things from him and learned a little bit about a uh unique thing that he’s doing now so stay with us there uh you know we got a long drive home and uh you know what uh I think we got to stop somewhere is that right nooki mustard yes U me me very much want to stop at this one no you know what no n not in Vegas what place what place is that no me want to stop at Circle K uh they have best snacks he got muted his split personality got muted they have best snacks in World me me want to stop at Circle K get food to eat on the 5H hour drive I think it’s a great idea Noki because you know America’s details I want to hit the nookie monster with my car please don’t I it’ll hurt both of us immensely you know what didn’t hurt me though spending 5 days at Ciro Las Vegas it was fantastic love the room love Stadium swim out here everything about it uh was wonderful except for my gambling ability not very good let me tell you that uh but you know what they have the world’s largest sports book uh and they have it’s three three stories stadium seating yeah we broadcasted from there in their Booth but I sat in the stadium SE seating I had a great time watch part of last night’s Home Run Derby there uh the VIP seating is fantastic as well you can reserve that uh and then Stadium swim out here 4,000 people can fit in here I mean it it’s basically the size of mullet Arena right now and you got a 143 FTX 40 foot LED screen uh what I it’s factual right and then it’s open 365 days a year so if if you want to spend Thanksgiving here or Christmas you can it’s open 365 uh six pools two Spas it is fantastic and uh you know what you want uh the best resort uh stay that you’re going to have in Las Vegas they have it here so experience Stadium swim and watch your favorite teams at Circa Resort and casinos as I mentioned uh we caught up with Josh aogi the other day and he’s talking uh he he talked about his new role uh and what coach bud is has kind of talked to him about already he’s he makes it easy man you know he’s very warm welcoming you know easy to talk to personable and he wants to get to know everybody so that’s makes it easy when you look at his teams he’s historically had a really good guard defensive player obviously you fit that mold as well how encouraging is it to know that your new head coach is someone that values that type of skill set of course man anytime um that your skill set is something that your coach you know usually wants you know it makes you gives you a little more confidence to go out there and do that every night and obviously you know just the Phoenix Suns uh in general as a as a as a front office man they give me the confidence to go out there and just do what I do night in and night out again this is a guy who was coveted by a couple of teams and pursued in free agency um and so as much as people were bulking at the $8 million a year number like to be able to bring him back even if you’re overpaying or whatever and create trade flexibility as well that’s a win-win for everybody um and this is the second year in a row that Josh is said the front office everybody has made him feel like a part of what they’re trying to build um so we probably shouldn’t have been surprised that they wanted to resign him in the first place good player got $8 million a year had a market had other teams interested got it done man I mean I like Josh again people fixate are way too fixated on the one thing that he’s not good at but they they just gloss over the 10 things he’s very good at and and and that’s what drives me crazy and this is why if I’m going to defend Ryan D I’m going to defend uh Josh in the same light uh you just this guy’s a ball player and it was very great it was a very good job to get him at 8 million to have flexibility and he gets a nice low pay let’s be honest I’d be talking well about anybody that offered me $8 million which was likely 4 million above what the other people were offering a year I would bet like I don’t think so you you you think you would have gotten close to 8 million from anybody else I not actually sawj Martin get for the same reason aogi did because they’re they’re looking at him as a potential trade option I don’t think anybody else was going to pay that to then try to flip joshu kogi I just I I don’t see that and that’s not disrespect because I actually I’m actually rooting for Josh a kogi to have a good season and you don’t have to use him as TR I’d love him to actually have an effective season here and be a part of helping because his defensive abilities could come up big and if he just shoots you know 34% uh you know 35% from those threes he’s very dangerous for this team I get it but I I think the premise of asking who would have paid him that much is Just inherently flawed because as we’ve talked about like the only person that this is negatively impacting is Matt isia’s wallet with the luxury tax like it’s not about who was going to offer him 8 million why they offer May million it’s about like you create flexibility for yourself you reward a guy that you like um and and he has to agree to the deal as well if he has other suitors and you say yeah we’re going to give you 4 million a year and try to trade you he’s going to be like okay well maybe I’m out you got to pay up a little bit more if you’re going to make that second year non- guaranteed like they did but that that was my point is that like of of course he was going to look at it and go okay I can get 8 million here I can try to prove myself and if not if I get moved I still got the 8 million and I’ll be able to choose where I go next year it’s not a knock on him he made he made the right choice is the point listen do do I think someone would have gave him eight outside of Phoenix maybe not six and a half yeah yeah or mid right and and you know again I spoke to an agent who I specifically asked that and he confirmed through other talks yeah he had a market he had a market and it wasn’t so much of a of a gap between what he got we got a little bit more and that gives us flexibility but listen I mean Drew Eubanks got 10 million right over two five a year right so um yeah I I believe he could he had he had a decent market and I like the fact that they got him back and I think both sides winning this deal so it’s a win-win for both sides well you know what that 8 million gives him the opportunity to spend a little bit more on his new hobby we uh we were laughing because we were sitting there uh on the the Baseline he was sitting cours side and he and Damen Lee were sitting there uh taking up a little photography and uh Josh kogi had this to say about his uh about his new uh his new thing that he’s doing notice you’ve been taking up the photography uh and Damen Lee obviously been doing that as well has he been giving you any tips and tricks yeah he tried to he asked me if I if he could give me tips but everything he told me I already knew so I guess we on the same level okay and I started 3 days ago by the way D you gotten any good shots so far I suck no now I got I it it showed me like how like I don’t take those photographers for granted anymore I mean the game is so fast by the time I like Snap the picture like the ball the guy had already dunked he’s Landing it’s just bad but I think I’m getting a hang of it a little bit not really but a little bit the franchise player has rubbed off on these guys by the way with the photography yeah yeah hey they they had the they had the real gear this wasn’t like I’m I’m snapping like this with the I know they had the real gear they had to they had I want to take game action Clips but uh I I I I got a I got a I got a s I got a sneaky suspicion the uh the guy that wears number one that is really big on taking pictures uh probably rubbed off on his if if Damen Lee is out there today we got to ask him about getting just totally burned by a Ki here saying been doing this 3 days and I already know more than him I already knew exactly what he was telling me yeah now that was funny I mean come on man don’t do you guy like that he had to sit out all last year he’s just tried to help you well it was funny cuz they were both sitting Courtside like across the way Daman Lee was Baseline and akoki was here and I looked over and they’re just like taking pictures of each other from across the way like they having that’s cool man that’s really cool you know we should pay Josh and Damian to get a few of those photos and see actually how well they’re doing we can judge photo against photo if we can pull it off I’d love uh to do that uh we got Kevin Durant’s in the chat I don’t think it’s the real Kevin Durant oh he does he use Indian rupee because that’s what that is yeah I I highly doubt it well I mean I’d be impressed I mean maybe I 200 uh Indian rupee uh to say yo G money I assume that’s you since uh I go buy espo not Greg on the so show send in the Super Chat to appreciate all the work you’re putting in in Vegas seeing a of interviews appreciate the rest of the squad too but girth is my favorite thank you Kevin Durant I appreciate that uh we’ve been we’ve all been grinding out here for sure I’m I’m I’m never mind I’m not GNA go Shane sh yeah don’t leave that alone but Shane and Shane and I set our single day record for interviews uh the other day hold on I had one on hold on he espo helped yeah no I’m say I’m saying Shane and I individ we individually beat our over under that being said we didn’t need Espo’s help right that’s what I’m saying but we had that’s supposed to help and we had Saul’s help as well we have a lot of interviews on YouTube already so if you haven’t checked those out make sure to do it we’ve talked to a lot of NBA insiders sa got a hold of EJ espo reunited with his buddy Kaminsky Cove um lot of interesting stuff a lot of questions the thing for me that stood out is every single NBA Insider that we’ve asked about second tax apron stuff they have commended the Suns and Matt ishia for being willing to just Dive Right In because nobody else in the league is doing it to that extent or really at all um so that was kind of cool to hear that like all these experts are saying like yeah if you why are you why would you be mad about ishbia spending his money the way that he wants if he’s trying to feel the contender um so I know sometimes we get really wrapped up in what’s the state of the roster do we have enough shooting on the bench all this stuff uh but a lot of these things kicked in after they made the trade for Kevin Durant so like they had already committed to a plan at that point it was either get worse or go full bore and that’s what they chose so uh I know a lot of people have thoughts about the Bradley Beal trade and all this money that spending but it was interesting to hear basically everyone in Vegas say like yeah we I think every fan base would like to have an owner willing to do that uh Kevin Durant in the chat says I’m real if you’re real Katie uh what do I sit on that’s what I want to know you only you would know the the answer to that uh by the way uh Saul Bookman who’s sitting like literally a foot and a half from me just put in the chat that Pat Beverly’s going to Israel I assume not to solve uh the problems in the Middle East but to play basketball prob but he uh oh yeah he had the four game suspension hos still that he would have to serve with a new team so yeah I mean can he serve it in Israel and have a count in the NBA I don’t that’s how it works it doesn’t work no I don’t think so so guys uh we liter we’ve got a few minutes left here in uh in our residency what do you have to say about your time in Vegas any final thoughts on uh on a a week in Vegas I I just want to give a shout out to everybody that we have here like we have a great team here we had we had a coordinated team left effort um everybody here Shane Emma uh Saul espo flex and then on top of that like we had Lindsay back home helping with Clips Eric Ruby um so please make sure to go check out our YouTube page and check out some of these interviews we’ve been doing cuz they they are no joke there are a lot of fun um and the the Vlog is going to be up later today I have to plug that because it’s hilarious Shane worked his ass off on that and it turned out really really great so make sure to check that out once it’s up shout out to fuku Burger too hell yeah that was fantastic love fuk it was a lot of fun there look uh you’re right thank you to uh everybody uh that was a part of this along the way I truly appreciate each and every one of you uh from back home uh and Kevin Grant in the chat doing a KD with uh with with the crazy uh $200 uh rupees Rupees is that correct uh so thank you for that uh you know uh I I really appreciate each and every one of you and I’m going to actually uh hand over the headset here for a second to uh our friend Saul Bookman who wants to say something we didn’t have enough seats to fit at this table uh but he’s still here let him uh let him say something to you all done well hey guys hey how we doing we’re wrapping up I was just dancing in the background so that was fun you got any uh final thoughts from Vegas or thank yous or you know listen I think we have one of the coolest jobs in the world and I think sometimes we uh take it for granted we’re here in Vegas Gerald and I have been here for [ __ ] ever and uh ESO has too and it feels like sh it’s Shane oh my bad my bad Shane Shane has been out here as long as I have it’s been 10 days I’m ready to go home but it’s always a cool experience it’s always fun and we would really love to grow this a little bit more um we would love to do events out here at Summer League uh you know we just we want you guys to participate so you know maybe in the future we can do these kind of things and I just want to send a big thank you to to Gerald and espo and Shane for do all the work that they did behind the scenes especially Gerald going to summer league just about every single day getting all the content you guys are seeing out there all the interviews uh Shane has been a [ __ ] Superstar as usual uh not only here but also at Big 12 media day Flex in his first his first uh ideation of the summer league uh you know going around talking to people Mee and greet I don’t think you guys understand what a unique individual Flex is his ability to talk to I mean he could he he can make a wall talk to him I swear he could he’s just an amazing individual everybody here has been amazing so thank you guys for all the hard work and uh yeah we’ll see you back in Phoenix hell yeah F any final thoughts yeah no listen uh I love love being out here with you guys you guys worked your asses off and and you should be commended um this is my first League I’m really impressed by the work you guys put in and how you get everything lined up and structured we couldn’t do this without the people in the chat that’s that’s what we do it for that’s who we show up for and uh my highlight of Vegas though was that blackjack table man that blackjack table the other night we had my boy Shane out there dancing man that that was the most fire blackjack table I’ve ever seen uh phnx in all city had random people out here in Vegas running around d when he just the Pit Boss is high-fiving him this was a if you know you know and that’s why you should be out here at Circa and summer league my highlight sharing ear sweat with Saul right now that uh was a unique experience no I Oso shot reminds me of richaun holmes
Nice baseball outro,lol
Roddy and Dunn both played poorly. It doesn’t mean you give up on them. Damion Lee still isn’t healthy. He should be the one to go if needed.
Tyus Jones and dinwiddie still aren’t signed
