[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: Lindsey Harding — the G League coach of the year — has agreed on a deal to become an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers. Harding leaves the Kings to rejoin JJ Redick, whom she spent time with on the Sixers staff and as a Duke All-American

Between this and Bronny winning that COD game, I’m pretty pumped

Biggest acquisition for the Lakers this offseason

  3. johnsonbabypowder

Great hire, gender aside I love the amount of experience and high basketball IQ being prioritized on JJs staff

Couldn’t get Deebo so you take our assistant? Monsters.

  5. coacoanutbenjamn

Damn I hate when the Lakers actually do something commendable

Jj gotta clean up his image after calling that lady the N word in college

  7. foogeyzi69

imagine the outcry when lebron grabs the board off her hands LMAO.

The more experienced coaches around JJ the better. The fact she’s a former player as well makes her someone that’ll be great for JJ to lean on and relate to as he really gets equipped to being a head coach.

Is this the highest coaching role a woman has held in the NBA?

  10. Real take – great hire, I hope it works out well.

Jerk take – this lady must be able to stomach some n-bombs

I know they’ve only had one Playoff appearance in like 20 years, but calling the Kings a G League team is just mean…

Damn it, stop stealing from our coaching staff and get off my lawn!

  13. A big win for the Lakers, they actually got a solid coach and great player developer

  14. *Comes in for actual discussion*

*Sees low effort Bronny jokes everywhere*

    🙄

She was around during the Duke days? So she can provide her opinion on whether or not JJ called that one lady the n word

This laker situation is hilarious. everyone talking shit about experience..

he played 15 years, while being talked up by many many players to be extremely smart and has a reputation of understanding basketball exceptionally well .

I’d take his 15 years in basketball over all the Reddick haters 15 years of keyboards.

  17. HikmetLeGuin

She’s a good choice. Would have made more sense as head coach than Reddick given that she’s paid her dues as an assistant/ G-League coach. But he’ll benefit a lot from having her expertise as an assistant.

Great acquisition. Hopefully she becomes a head coach. Closer candidate than Becky Hammon.

I liked Lindsey Harding back in the day as a player and Kings fans are right – go check out what she did with Stockton Kings

  19. Is JJ little more than ornamental?

They’re building some pretty intense stuff behind him 😀

He is head coach, but seems like the most assistant fit among them.
