  1. Reed seems to be one of those guys who picks up his game from a lot different players. That's great, it means he can continually add to his game. On defense he has focused on using his smarts and court awareness to get those steals and blocks to the detriment of his one on one defense. As you point out he is often out of position in relation to his man. I think he has the physical tools to be a good man defender but he isn't committing to it(which seems to be counter to his personality). I simply don't think he's aware of what he's doing. Fixing his stance and positioning are easy things to correct. For a guy like Reed he could fix that before the beginning of the season. I am not at all worried about his defense. On offense, as you point out, he needs to learn how to deal with pressure – again something he can pick this up pretty quick with good coaching. I wanted to trade back too – I'm glad they didn't. I was high on Sheppard but he is much better than even I thought. Once Udoka starts focusing on offense this team is going to be really good, really quick. Get ready for Sengun 2.0. I hear he is finally getting into the weight room. I've always thought his biggest weakness was his lack of conditioning. I am not afraid to say that with better conditioning and a three point shot Alpy could be the best player in the league.

  2. Love your videos bro. I was at Summer League. I was very impressed with Reed. I think he's gonna be a great one.

  3. Reaching from behind and people pounding on him is crazy😂…. great breakdown you nailed it bruh bruh …
Reed paws Sheppard gets his hands on balls 😂😂😂😂

  4. I hope with Udoka he impoves his defense and with mentorship of FVV he improves his alreday good game read and play making. If he can improve as fast as Alpy it will be more than enogh. Thank you Frank for the insights… Great as usual…

  5. Appreciate this video fam, with reed I just see another high I.Q baller. Him and Amen should take the rockets to that next lvl soon!

  6. Rockets should incorporate the triangle in their system. That system will eliminate the predictability of the offense & will also create openings fir iso players

  7. You know you’re watching summer league highlights when bro training camp hasn’t even started, baseball just had a draft and all star game no one knew about, there were some soccer tournaments that came and went , apparently people played tennis etc…

    Ball is life

  8. You'll find that often when he overplays a steal and gets beat by his man, two seconds later Reed is in his pocket poking it away. He's a smart kid. He's working with what he has in a very intelligent manner.

  9. These are my favorite types of videos man I love you film breakdowns. Reed is very exciting. I think it's so perfect that we have Fred to take him under his wing as a small guard. I think Fred can teach him a lot about how to be better at the point of attack on D.

  10. Well said bro. He’s feel for the game is second to none in this class. He’s gonna be a hard worker on both ends. I know his dad would be on his ass if he doesn’t. Great pick for the Rockets

  11. I personally think amen can still be our future point guard , to me reed is the perfect back up point . Amen is just too talented to start behind a guy like reed in the long term imo

  12. Fred really is the perfect mentor for him Frank. We saw it in the Pistons game that they gameplan to be physical with Reed on both ends on the court.

Fred going to help him adjust on being picked up full court and helping him adjust on guys trying to be physical.

Besides that and Reed having to work on his on ball defense all those things are correctable fixes.

He exactly what we needed as a point guard. He calm he knows what to do and he can easily organize the offense as the point guard.

He a good passer so he knows how to find guys and we know about his 3 ball but that middy is going to be automatic for him.

Not to mention he has active hands he knows when to poke the ball away and gets some steals and when he does it’s off to the races for a transition basket.

Honestly if Reed cleans up a few things and show out in training camp. He might get some minutes at the start of the season good video frank

  13. Thank for putting out these videos Frank. Love seeing the detailed breakdowns like this. I definitely agree that his style is mixture between Steph and Klay with his stroke being closer to Klays. Maybe he will develop a quicker trigger to immediately shoot on drop coverages. Great work brother.

  14. Now we have Reed, would there be any need to trade for Booker bcos both are kinda same archetype. In two to three Reed gonna be real good. Though I Wouldn’t mind having both in Rockets roster in future where Reed would be the primary ball handler. That’s gonna be devastating, recreating something similar to GSW in Houston where Reed would be like a smaller steph and Booker a smaller Clay.

  15. if im IME, im telling them deflection, deflection, deflection thats our defense! Al P, Bari (dalsim arms-street fighter), Tari, Reed, Amen!!!
deflection deflection deflection, that shoulb be the thing in houston..
yall play elden ring? and u find out about deflection.. EXACTLY!!!
