I mean, on paper, no one can threaten the US hypothetically. The thing about the Olympics is it’s single elimination games after the group stages. So, if you can piece together a perfect game against the US anything is possible.
It’s hard for a national team to say “oh yeah we got this in the bag” when the opposing teams starting consists of LBJ, Steph, Embid, Holiday and then it’s only worse when the rotated second unit consist of Ant, Tatum, AD, Bam, KD etc.
I watched the ‘02 World Championships when Yugoslavia took down the States but then again Yugoslavia had more NBA players and the US was weaker but still considered a shock back then

Bam was lethal this game. Not sure you can expect him to do that very many games. Serbia couldn’t make any shots but if they get hot for a game they could challenge the US. Honestly I will be happy if either Serbia or US win. Just not the French

Serbia played yesterday and I don’t think Bogdanovic played. This is also a tune up. No team will be going all out or running their full sets
