Hartenstein chose to join Oklahoma City Thunder after they made him a substantial 3 year, 87 Million dollar contract, with 58+ million in guaranteed money on the table. OKC did nothing special last year they were eliminated before us . The West is a tough conference there are no guarantees over there. Memphis is coming, NOLA got better, Houston is coming.
As a Knicks fan, I don't accept Hart's claim that he had no choice. If Jalen can take a pay cut to stay where he wanted, Hart could have done the same thing. But he chose not to do so, just for a few extra bucks because the Knicks did offer him a good deal of money. But because he chose not to make the same kind of sacrifice Jalen did, it would be very significantly ironic if the Knicks take the championship in 2025 or come real close, and OKC doesn't go far. Sacrifice always pays off, and I applaud JB for making the sacrifice for the team, when he too could have left easily for more money.
