Only will do this for a first but for what we’re giving we can get a starting power forward.

  2. I highly doubt it, L.Frank was vocal about flexibility for our salary caap

  3. IgnorantGenius

Re-tool involves opening cap space and staying competitive. So, no Lavine.

  4. Hypeman747

Better go for it especially with his trade value so low

  5. Better be attached with 2 1sts otherwise HARD PASS

  6. unpopular-dave

I would gladly trade Kawhi for him and a couple firsts.

    Let the process begin

unless we get like 2 first round picks then no fucking thankyou

  8. Norm, PJ, Bones for Lavine and picks is the only way it makes sense. Effectively, it’s Norm for Lavine with picks as compensation for taking his contact. Gets rid of PJ and Bones, which is a plus move.

In reality, Lavine struggles to stay healthy. Only played in all games once. Has missed a lot of time throughout the years. That’s not a player to pair with Kawhi, who also cannot stay healthy, especially for another 3 seasons. At least 2 FRP’s would make it worth the Clippers while, but I don’t see the Bulls parting with that much.

    googles Joe Cowley:

This is 100% coming from the Bulls trying to push Lavine on us.

  10. I’d do it for filler, one young guy, and a FRP in compensation

He has to come with at least 1 FRP attached for us to even entertain the idea, but I would hope that Frank would hold out for another FRP or multiple 2nds.

He isn’t going to move the needle at all by being inserted into the starting lineup, so his only real value to us is that we have a guy that can get points when Kawhi and/or Harden inevitably miss games. But Lavine is no iron man himself so we may end up with 3 in street clothes.

I feel like some reports like this are just throwing shit at the wall.

“Oh the Clippers can make salaries work? Wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up there, better report on it!”

That would be such a Clippers move, 100% going to happen

  14. I don’t mind giving up the guys mentioned. Aside from Norm, PJ Bones and Coffey have little to no trade value. Like someone mentioned, it essentially would be Norm for Lavine and a few picks.

PJ Bones and Coffey are expiring contracts this year. PJ and Bones won’t bring good vibes to the team this year. Bones wants to play; L. Frank inferred he wasn’t in the team’s plans this year. Coffey is good but expendable.

Lavine contract is expiring in 3 years. His contract aligns with Kawhi’s contract. At 48m player option year 3, it’s also a movable contract.

Since Lavine doesn’t do much defensively and is injured half the time, his offensive production can be made up from either Norm, KPJ, and maybe even Jordan Miller. Lavine would be a no brainer, bad contract and all, if he contributed on both ends of the floor.
