The NBA landscape is fucking bonkers. For someone to have no major perceptible change in value (down year stats wise, but more or less thought of the same) to go from turning down 80 million guaranteed dollars to accepting 2.5 in one one year, because of cap room and timing, is absolutely batshit. You don’t see that wild of value aberrations in any other major sports league.
The last CBA prioritized max players at the cost of literally everyone else and these players should seriously be looking at drawing and quartering their reps.

How come GTJ is so loved here? I’m a magic fan and the situation reminds me of Markelle Fultz, but at least Fultz had the potential to be good & had a good season. GTJ has just been buns his whole career and I saw fans saying he should get $15M-20M+ a year lol.
