MASSIVE Update On Julius Randle’s Contract Extension! James Dolan PRAISES Randle… | Knicks News

Knicks owner James Dolan, these days, doesn’t get involved with anything going on with the Knicks. Instead, he leaves that up to Leon Rose and the Knicks front office who have done an amazing job turning the Knicks into championship contenders. However, every now and again, Dolan will make comments about the team. Recently, he did this by making praiseworthy comments about Knicks 3x All-Star Julius Randle. Randle is widely respected across the entire Knicks organization, clearly including ownership. With Randle’s contract extension looming, receiving comments like this can go a long way with the next contract he receives. It may not be a matter of if but rather WHEN Randle gets his extension at this point… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. What if he balls out next year (contract year), opts out of his contract (player option) and leaves for a massive pay day in FA (like iHart)?

Extending him now may be cheaper.

  2. I want randle to stay. don't me wrong but, I don't want Dolan getting involved in anything pertaining to basketball operations. #KeepRandle but they see it fit to move him, I gotta ride with the Don. I'll be mad but, I gotta ride with Don

  3. Randle stays. How people forget how we badly needed him this past post season.. he could have been the difference between going to the finals and losing in the 2nd round

  4. I love it because Randle is NY and should end his career here , if you remember Julius came here when no one else wanted to . Another reason there was another YouTuber out there doing his best to see Julius traded , video after video he had Julius being traded for Kat , hell no Julius belongs here and for you to come out and say what your saying is great , so what you got to say now chat sports ?

  5. We not getting him on that type of discount that is a lot of money 10-15 million I get but what Brunson did was insane 😂 so he next contract will be 400 million

  6. I Hart should have taken the 72.5 but what Brunson did was kinda of dumb ! I love him for it but 113 million dollar bargain is crazy

  7. With the way things are going, there's no telling what will happen with Julius this season. He could be resigned to an extension or he could be traded if the right deal comes along. I personally would like it if they gave it one more run with this unit, with an added backup center before making any moves on him.

  8. All 3 years he played well early and didn’t do NOTHING IN THE PLAYOFFS! Ppl saying he was double teamed and he didn’t have help! That’s bull shit! Real superstars adjust! He’s injury prone! He stands at the top of the key and watch while on defense!! I don’t trust him! Keep him for cheap or deal his azz away

  9. What’s the possibility of him being traded before the trade deadline? If Randle doesn’t perform like the player we’re used to seeing, his value is going to be much lower and it’s going to hurt the organization trying to find a trade partner. Smdh

  10. Randle is one of the best power forwards in the league.. we gotta keep him. We have our main core let's run it back this season and see how it plays out.. we need a backup center..

  11. Julius selected to be and All Star AND ALL NBA TEAM multiple times soeaks for itself. There's no one around who could easily replace those things..name them if there are. Before the injury to him and OG the Knicks were playing at a very high level. Now add Bridges to that mix…can't wait til next season.

  12. This is a tough one for me because I think Randle individually is a great player. Average 20, 10 in his sleep, has made all nba teams. Still only 29 yrs old, which is usually center of a players prime. I get it. I just don’t think he fits with this team. Especially after Bridges acquisition. From an x and o’s standpoint, they really started to thrive when he went down and Hart and Donte (and Hartenstein) had an expanded role. Fortunately for Knicks too, Randle is a valuable asset. They could get a lot back for him and really get final pieces to complement that big 4 and OG. I think that’s the way to go.
