Caleb Martin’s camp never gave Miami the opportunity to match Philadelphia’s offer, per @flasportsbuzz

On top of missing out on the $65M deal we offered.

He would have made a lot more with the same deal due to tax reasons in Florida, he should double fire his agent for this epic fumble.

Either Caleb has the worst agent ever or Caleb grew to hate the FO

  2. Really sounds like he just wanted to move on to another team.

Damn I wonder why. Nunn had problems with the Heat too but this is legit surprising from someone who got a long term contract as an unproven UDFA

He could have made more but I genuinely think he just gave up on the heat n don’t think we can win. Sucks but players are like that, remember PJ did the same thing. Then we went further without him lol

The heat about to bully them and Caleb the reason😂

  6. Maybe he doesnt like heat’s military training approach or ego

  7. Once Caleb declined, could the Heat even afford to march the 76ers offer?

Man, this guy & his agent are speedrunning from fan favorite to fuckin loser.

This is as simple as the agent trying to save face. If the agent took a lesser deal from Miami, his error would have been more blatant. Caleb’s and the agent’s ego got hurt because of their mistake. Taking the 76er’s at lease saved face because it can be spun as moving on to a better opportunity.

  10. I think it was time to move on from Caleb. Good luck to him.

Because the Heat couldn’t match once he declined….. What are y’all talking about? Thought our fans were smarter than this

He thought he could get more in an open market like there would be some kind of bidding war for him. He thought wrong. Simple as that.
