I know it’s a lottery, but it’s not going to be us. Unless we get bad injuries, there are several way worse teams. Plus, I’m not sure I can handle another season of full on tanking.

If the Jazz trade Lauri to the Lakers they might be worse than us. Not only will I be disgusted seeing Lebron making another run at a title but seeing the Jazz win capture the Flagg would be even worse.

The obsession with Flagg I find kind of weird on this sub. He’s a great prospect, but the odds of us getting him even if we have the worst record are not at all good. I refuse to put all my future hopes for the franchise in a total long shot possibility or write of this season for tanking purposes before it even begins. It’s like playing a sports game and simulating the season just so you can draft, drool over the new player additions, and repeat. I’m going to be watching for our current roster and hoping we win as much as possible (while knowing we won’t have a good record), and if we have 5th best odds or whatever, that’s good enough for me on the Flagg lottery. In other words, this kid isn’t a Blazer so not really something I’m focusing on until next draft.

Ideal scenario is to have Scoot and Sharpe both start the season off well, trade Simons at the deadline, bad spacing on offense, slide down to the third worst record in the NBA.
