This isn’t really true. Thanasis got drafted before Giannis had the ability to bring that about. He was considered a borderline NBA talent on his own merits. Giannis did help him STAY in the NBA longer, but he didn’t get him drafted.

It’s not really the same thing, Giannis got drafted in 2013, Thanasis in 2014. For his rookie season, Giannis averaged 7/4/2. He didn’t become an all-star until 2017, and the Bucks didn’t even draft Thanasis.
The only similarly is that Thanasis is still in the NBA thanks to his brother, but Thanasis was seen as a somewhat similar prospect to Giannis with great measurements, athleticism, and potential but was clearly a project player with less upside (around 22 at the time).
