  1. After two summer league games IMO Queta Davison and Springer have the best chance of cracking the rotation when the season starts. All 3 have familiarity with the Celtics system. Davison and Springer might see the floor as the Cs limit Jrue and DWhite early season minutes. Springer could fill the OB energy bench guy role.
I think the Celtics work the rookies in slowly. They need some time beyond this summer to learn and get comfortable with the Cs system. They'll need some Maine reps. Walsh might need another year, but thats ok. He might break thru by February
Springer might see the floor early on so the Cs can get one last look at him. Can they pump his trade value or will they waive him to open a roster spot?
Not worried about Queta. He's balling out. His role and minutes and situations will be different in the regular season. He's out there in the chaos just beasting out. I like his left hand finishes

  2. Always enjoy the crossover episodes.

I think getting overhyped for summer league guys is part of the fun. I like that better than being too honest because the reality is probably that only one or two guys see meaningful NbA minutes.

  3. Walsh reminds me of brissy. excellent athleticism, rebounding and energy. low BBIQ, bad jumper and weak off the dribble game. he's staying in maine. he should make it a goal to win the g-league chip/mvp instead. dont skip steps. he's not talented/skilled/smart enough to make the jump now from deep bench to key bench player.

my grades for the summer celtics so far:

    A tier: Neemy

    B tier: Queta, Anton

    C tier: JD, Baylor, Drew

D tier: Tillie, Cook, Ramsey (begrudingly), Coach DJ

    Everybody else is F tier.

springer has the inside track over baylor/anton for early regular season rotation mins as the 10th-11th man (outside of queta). There's only room for 1-2. Everybody else is garbage time, maine or injury insurance. the celtics top 10 early in the season would be: jt, jb, sam, jrue, d.white, pp, al, tillman, luke and queta. Most teams wont go past playing 9-10 in the regular season.
