MASSIVE Trade Coming! Knicks Interested In Clint Capela TRADE… | Knicks News

The New York Knicks have reportedly contacted the Atlanta Hawks about the availability of Clint Capela. NY has been searching for another center for either the backup center position or starting role via the trade market but have been unsuccessful for weeks. However, they have continued to shift targets if they are unable to get a player at a fair deal. NY checking in on Capela could mean the Knicks are comfortable moving Mitchell Robinson in a trade… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Dwight Howard and Cousins is cheap and overseas and still playing at a high level why not one of them for a back up center. Why doesn't Troy mention them. They definitely good enough to back up Robinson while Simms is developing more under Mike Bibby ??

  2. Troy we know that the Knicks don't have a lot of money they have only 9 to 11 million Clint capella is 20 million too much so no to Clint maybe vulvetic

  3. Nah don't trade duece and picks unless its for Kessler. Otherwise resign precious and even go get bismack biyombo and call it a day😅😅😂😂😂

  4. All these trade rumors or mock trades are good and enticing but at the end of the day thats all they are. Knicks are waiting too long imo and every available buy in center is gonna sign or get traded elsewhere if Leon Rose doesn’t buy in to someone soon. Good vid regardless, im hoping we trade for someone with just picks or ride it out with Precious and help him develop more with us on a way to a chip! LGK!!! 💙🧡

  5. Plz no Capela just too much money. We got 2 decent guys in summer league. Let's take a chance with them I like Dmytro. He's 7'2" and has mid range jump shot I like him alot. We don't need an amazing back up center I feel.

  6. Knick should definitely get him I have him on my Knick team on2k and he doing good for me and the team good😂😂😂

  7. I kind of doubt that’s gonna go anywhere because they want a lot of money for him and there’s no way I’m trading Robinson for him

  8. You CANNOT get rid of Randle and Robinson. Randle is not only an all star, but he is one of the few PFs in the league who has a 90s post game, and is REALLY GOOD AT IT. As I said on other pages, a C's and PF's 90s post game CANNOT be guarded in this league. The fact that he is ONLY 6'9 and way successful in his post up game proves my point. Then there is Randle's strength, skill, rebounding power, ability to shoot the 3 and mid range, he is clutch, draws fouls to get and-ones, is not scared of anyone etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Robinson is a top 10 dominant rebounder, shot blocker, ball hustler, he has court awareness, he is as fast as STAT when it comes to putting the ball back in the basket, he moves as fast as a shooting guard (look at the Julius Randle's highlights they put out a few days ago on YouTube and check out how fast Robinson is moving up the court with everyone else at 3:05 with ease). In addition to those qualities, there are things Robinson can do that they don't let him do, such as his ability to put the ball on the floor and score, shoot from mid-range. I don't think I have seen him post up (back his defender down in the paint) but that is something he can be taught which would make him 10 times more dangerous. Remember, Amar'e Stoudemire went to be trained by Hakeem Olajuwon to learn how to back down his defender in the paint with spin moves, and that was for only 2 weeks. When the season started he was unstoppable. And that is not a cliche statement or an overstatement, it simply is a true statement. I watched those games, NO ONE could guard STAT with the new moves he learned, coupled with his strength and speed. Robinson has both (strength and speed), he just now needs to be taught how to back down his defender and spin if he can't do those things.
