Explanation of the metric
OFF-BALL GRAVITY
“This metric aims to measure how much attention and resources a team uses trying to defend a player when they don't have the ball. Players that are stronger 3-point shooters will do better in this metric, and if players are able to shoot off movement and utilize off-ball screens to generate 3-point attempts they'll tend to grade out higher in this metric.”
The way the data is gathered: “The way it works is it looks at different coverages (do you get blitzed, do defenders go over/under etc.) and regresses that against ORAPM. So the scale is similar to impact metrics (per 100 possessions).”
Klay on the floor will give insane spacing to Luka and Kyrie. This was a big hole of ours too we had nobody to create spacing. Like how much better filling in the holes we had at backup c and PF. I think this will do the same well once again over perform compared to what others think.

I’ve never heard of this before, but I want it to be both true and significant
Why couldn’t we just get Steph instead? Are we stupid?
It’s really crazy that the Warriors had the #1, #2 and #4 guy on this list, at the same time, all in their primes. Like, wtf
People are about to wake the hell up to the difference between Klay as 2nd scoring option vs 3rd.
Hopefully Luka can learn something from him. Probably his biggest hole on the offensive end. If he doesn’t have the ball he just stands around
Our PnR game with Luka + Lively bout to go nuts. You either give up the roll/dunk or Lively kicks to the corner Klay 3
Some additional thoughts of mine to this:
Luka and Kyrie are two of the best shot makers in the league both top 10.. Luka turned into an elite 3pt shot maker this season.
With the addition of Klay, teams can no longer just put two on Luka one on Kai one on lively at the rim and let others open. If they try to guard Luka one on one he’s gonna beat you in iso or get a step back 3. If you double him you may have a 45% catch and shooter in klay wide open to shoot. If they cover klay properly you have kyrie elite 3pt shooter 43% wide open to shoot. If they try cover them all you have lively dunking on your ass or PJ with a free lane to a dunk.
Offensively we’ll be Celtics level potent, now we actually have grimes who is also an excellent 3pt shooter and doesn’t hesitate as much as green and a fast shot NAJI shot form and release is nice too.
I knew Sam Morril liked to play basketball but crazy a comedian made it on the list!
Luka has no off-ball gravity because he always has the ball.
Lmao yall doing anything to justify this signing. He’s not that good anymore bro. If he was; the splash bros would still be together
I’m not sure how I feel about seeing Sam Merrill on this list. Mostly because idk who tf that is
