The Los Angeles Clippers have traded veteran guard Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz. According to ESPN, Westbrook is expected to negotiate a buyout with the Jazz and sign with the Denver Nuggets as a free agent. The Clippers received guard Kris Dunn in a sign-and-trade deal, alongside swapping second-round picks and sending cash considerations to the Jazz.
Westbrook, 35, who joined the Clippers late in the 2022-23 season, played 68 games last season, averaging 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. His career includes stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Clippers. Westbrook is a nine-time All-Star and the 2016-17 MVP.
