Ugh Iā€™m so bored of media types (who clearly never watch us by the way) wanting us to trade Ballā€¦ regardless of whatā€™s coming back. Itā€™s a boring narrative from people who donā€™t understand how good he is beyond just flash and how important a star like him is to a desperate city.

It ainā€™t happening and it shouldnā€™t happen. We need to see our 22yo ALL STAR (who everyone forgets was an all star) with our young kid Brandon Miller. Until we see how that actually looks, we should not change a damn thing.

The other thing that annoys me about all these pundits is they all want this Lamelo move to ā€œfast trackā€ our redevelopment. Like any of those potential Lakers picks will end up half the player we actually know Lamelo is. We have a rookie of the year former all star who happened to get injured 2 years in a row. Blowing it up by moving that player prematurely and sucking for 5 more years is not the answer.

What kind of fool thinks this is a good idea and writes an article. Sacramento gets… Rui hachinaura.. and lakers get lemello. And horents get players ive never heard of plus three or four draft picks. Pointless article and prolly just there to be click bait rage

These trades are always us accepting some BS

  5. ā€œI give you bad players in exchange for good playersā€

  6. I need more firsts to be honest. Preferably some this decade.

Please keep this garbage out of my feed. We aren’t trading LaMelo.

  8. I do watch Hornets games. I do understand how good LaMelo is. I have no issue with LaMelo and would love to see him succeed on the Hornets. THAT SAID. I would 1000% trade him right now for the right haul of future picks and young players. Not the one described in this article. But a theoretical haul of picks and players absolutely. Not sure why thatā€™s a controversial take but the fact of the matter is he is an incredibly talented but often hurt young player, and I think the possible upside of multiple future picks and young players greatly outweighs his potential future upside.

  9. The media always makes some stupid trade scenarios where the Lakers always fleece every team and they put it as a win for everyone.

    Hard pass

  11. No. Iā€™m open to trading Lamelo for the right package (I love him but imo nobody is untouchable if the price is right), but not for that lol. Itā€™s 4 players I donā€™t really want, 2 pick swaps, a FRP and 2 second round picks? No thanks.

If we were ACTUALLY entertaining a Lamelo trade, itā€™d be at the deadline. We would want to wait for him to have a healthy first half of the season to raise his value- at present teams are gonna be terrified to trade for a guy with glass ankles. And I would think in that scenario where he has been healthy for a while, is playing like the All Star we saw early on, we would get 4 FRPs for him.

Also I would basically never want the Lakersā€™ FRPs, theyā€™re like the one team that always has a chance to sign the best free agents & not suck. Them and San Antonio, like I just have no interest in their picks for as long as Wemby is around.

For those who didnā€™t click the link, we would lose Lamelo and get: ā€œKevin Huerter, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Gabe Vincent, Dalton Knecht, 2026 first-round swap (via LAL), 2028 first-round swap (via LAL), 2029 first-round pick (via LAL; unprotected), 2031 first-round pick (via LAL; top-1 protected, converts to 2031 second-round pick if not conveyed), 2025 second-round pick (most favorable of LAL or LAC), 2026 second-round pick (via SAC), 2030 second-round pick (via LAL)ā€

  12. Iā€™ve been saying we build around Brandon. Melo is too injury prone.
