I don't think he's a perfect fit, but Denver's bench needs an offensive identity and Russ (along with Saric) will give them that. Plus they've been missing a true combatant since Bruce Brown left.
They've talked to Russ and agreed on his role. He's a smart vet, a plus defender, high energy, decent handle. He'll strive to fit in. He desperately wants a ring and he can get one in Denver. CB as starter will be better than KCP and Saric is a damn good player. A bet on Denver to win a 2nd ring would be money well spent.

What's going to dictate Denvers success is the growth of their young core (Watson, Braun, Strawther). Russ on the outlet from Jokic is going to keep the Nuggets in some games and that's good enough.

Russ is a perfect fit for the Nuggets as a sixth man. He can lead the second unit with Julian Strawther, the shooter, Peyton Watson, the defensive stalwart, and Saric, the backup big man. CB is even a better defender than KCP, and hopefully, he can improve his 3-point shot.
Perfect may be a little too much hype, but I certainly hope his game has a resurgence and he winds up being happy and well-fed at Denver! I hope he enjoys many years of success with the Nuggets and gels with the remainder of the players to make a cohesive whole that can play deep into the palyoffs!
