  1. Looks like we won't need to worry about winning games since Sarr is gonna be trash, so tanking for Coop will be easy. We should have the highest odds for the top pick

  2. Sarr looked a little out of sorts. Once his roll is defined I think he will be a good player. In defense of Johnny Davis, I think the team did him a disservice by playing Shamett as much as they did. It was obvious Landry wasn’t part of the plan. We wasted development time not playing him those minutes

  3. When you report on who will be on the Wizards in a few years It's important to note that most teams have a range of players that are at different ages. Young teams typically aren't contenders because they don't have enough experience.
If you notice all the young teams are going out to get vets to pair with the younger players because vets have the needed experience.
Don't believe me, go look at all the other young teams and look at the ages of their players.
Also Poole will start at PG. Hoops Hype and site Lineups will have him starting at PG.

Poole's price tag is even bigger than Brogdon and they need to get his value up for any potential trades.
Poole would be the one who could get you more picks in a trade than 32 yr old Brogdon.

  4. If you're trying to unload Brogdon, and to a lesser extent, Holmes or Bagley, you need to find a team who is in danger of being in the second apron next year, and might be willing to dump another bad contract and a pick (probably a couple of seconds, depending on the albatross) for an expiring.

  5. Whitmore's medicals scared some folks away. (I have not seen them, but supposedly it might be a risk in his second contract).

  6. I don't think you can assume the timeline has been moved back because they traded Deni.
Are you forgetting they just signed Saddiq Bey to a 3 yr deal.
Bey is the exact same age as Jordan Poole. In fact he's a few months older.

In Woj's announcement of Bey to the team it says he's a "good young player to add to the core and fits the timeline for the rebuilding Wizards."
Not to mention Bey can't even play and won't play for most of the year so he's not going to be flipped anytime soon.

Also I know they mentioned Brogdan starting at PG during the Summer League game but I saw two different Depth Chart for 2024 2025 that show Poole.

Plus Evan Sidery reported that the Wizards weren't bringing Tyus back because they were prioritizing Poole and Carrington in the backcourt.

I think it's safe to say nobody knows what they're going to do because some of the moves they're making contradict what you just reported.

We do know this. The Wizards said last season they want to play with pace. BK mentioned it when named him the new coach.
Brogdan has not played since January! In his season exit interview 2 months ago he said he still was not 100% Plus he over 30.
That does not scream that he's someone who can start on a young team at PG and play with pace.

We saw Poole play extremely well starting at PG, plus if they do need to trade someone for picks building Poole's market value will get you more than Brogdon at 31 who is injured A LOT! Remember Tyus is still sitting so do you really think they can trade Brogdan by himself so easily.
Guess we'll have to wait and see!

  7. Bud didn’t have the best game but he definitely still looked confident out there which is good…now Sarr imo doesn’t look to confident and when he had smaller guys on him he didn’t take advantage smh..1 board until like the 3rd/4th quarter and ended with 4 is not it. thank god they signed JV nba centers would dominate the rook.

  8. Johnny just is a straight line dribbler that tries to score through contact. It’s not gonna work in the NBA with his athleticism.

  9. Great experience for our guys to build on. Sarr will be better in a structured system once he dusts his in-game rust off – people forget his last official game action was in like March. Once Bub gets his strength up he’s gonna be a real problem. Vooch looked downright dejected in the game though – a little bit concerned there.

  10. Reed Shepherd not being a Wizard because we picked Alex over him is going to piss me off. If Reed averages or becomes something great, this will become the 1st greatest blunders even surpassing the Kwame Brown pick in 2001‬. Reed looked way better than Alex in that Rockets vs Wizards. 11. You are talking too fast and swallowing your words, so that at times I cannot understand you. Are you on some sort of timer? Otherwise, relax more please. I reduced the video speed to 0.75X, and it sounds like you are talking at normal conversational speed, much more understandable.

  12. Bub reminds me of Kilian Hayes. Average handles at best, not fast enough to put pressure on the rim. It will require him to improve A LOT to become a good starter in this league. I don’t care about good stats agains G League players, I see his weaknesses beyond that.
