[Stein] League sources say that the Mavericks do hold an interest in re-signing Spencer Dinwiddie. I’m likewise told that Dinwiddie has maintained property in the Dallas area and has interest in a return.
League sources say that the Mavericks have also considered signing Dennis Smith Jr. and Talen Horton-Tucker, with Dinwiddie believed to be the top candidate.
He will go back to shooting 40% from 3 and not airballing layups anymore as soon as he goes back to Dallas

Our roster is pretty full, wouldn’t we have to trade or release someone to sign him?

I will personally drive Dinwiddie to the airport to ensure he never wears a Lakers uniform ever again

Dinwiddie wasnât that good but I feel a main reason why is he wasnât needed. The same thing happened to DWill in 2017 imo. U have a player use to running the show being a pg become a 3/D guy.Â
Dinwiddie DLO Reaves and Gabe all need the ball to an extent. DLO catches and shoots well but never when its important. Too many redundancies = bad fit.

They can have himÂ

Would rather have Dinwiddie than Vincent. Our roster is bad

Once again Rob has created a problem that didnât exist by letting go of a player who was a great fit. Dennis did so well as a backup PG then Rob went and signed Gabe for similar $ and created a hole at backup PG.
Neither Gabe nor Spencer can be trusted to handle the ball like Dennis and Dennis is as good if not a better defender than both.
Tired of this endless roster construction loop where Rob creates a problem that wasnât there and then needs to find ways to un-fuck it up.
LBJ & AD canât wait forever.

Iâd rather have him than Gabe. We have no backup Point
Midwiddie was fine on the minimum but this team has enough guards as it is.
He played awfully when he was here. Even then, he doesnât fit as another guard on this guard heavy team.Â
They’re considering signing horton tucker??? Bruh lol
