Re-signing players to amazing contracts, trading for major pieces, and putting the team in championship contention is a lot to do in one offseason but that is exactly what Leon Rose did. One of the last items on the list is to add a backup center to this roster, which NY has been attempting to do via trade but have been unsuccessful. Deuce is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than a back-up center. Sign Precious, keep Deuce. They're trying to make a perfect team, instead they may end up destroying the chemistry they developed last year. And Kolek is no LOCK as a back up point.

Step 2: Trade Randle and for Jarret Allen and a solid wing from the Cavs
This is not news. It’s always been obvious why they haven’t signed Precious and why he hasn’t signed elsewhere. Having him unsigned allows them to sign him for whatever they need to if they are able to work out a deal for a center. It gives them more flexibility to salary match and it gives Precious the opportunity to earn more money than he otherwise would!
What about that seven footer in the D League ?

It doesn't make sense at all If teams want's Achiuwa why doesn't he sign with any of those teams instead of waiting for the Knicks
Kolek + hukporti no need for another big cam payne might be a disaster id be more worried about what he can produce on the floor over aquiring a veteran big when u can just build up a hukporti who is already familar with kolek style of play over trading duece mcbride
If Precious has interest from Teams he wouldnt be on the market for this long he is not going to get a lot of money he will take 1 year minimum contact like Gary Trent Jr it come during the season or if there is a injury a team might sign him

Folks whether we like it or not this is what’s going to happen: KAT makes $49m and minn is way over the cap. The entire Knicks org knows him and like him. Guess what also = $49m (deuce,Randle,Mitch). However if they throw in achiuwa and picks they could also land naz reid. I believe KAT is going to be a Knick, my hope is we get Reid as well. Knicks don’t need Randle or deuce or picks. Min doesn’t need KAT and his awful contract. Tibs coached him, L Rose WAS HIS AGENT, Knicks front office guys worked in min and KAT is from NJ as is Naz Reid. Oh and KAT worked at msg in high school. Folks let’s hope they both come over in trade and not just KAT. Brace for impact!
Look we all love Deuce and his 3/$14mil deal. But for certain teams he’s worth a lot because he’s ultra cheap. Deuce won’t play much anymore and they genuinely want him as a SG not a PG. Kolek is absolutely going to become the new deuce and they can use or trade Rokas too. Knicks roster is set for the next 5-8 yrs. You know who’s younger than Randle and is identical to porzingis – KAT. Knicks are not resigning Randle and my guess is he won’t want to be back as the nova Knicks are a different team without Randle and Mitch on the floor. I firmly believe deuce, Randle, and maybe Mitch are goners at some pt this yr.

As good as Kolek looked on offense and passing (in summer league) he plays no defense. No defense no play with thibs. Deuce plays defense and offense hes not going anywhere if ge was going anywhere deals would of already been done if u really think about why things not done yet is because kolek can be traded after August 6th so if u sign and trade precious for as high as possible add kolek and maybe sims or Diop and RJ trade exemption thats 5.5 mil u can trade for capela or maybe another center worth 20mil plus.. lets stop pretending a rookie that dont play defense is going to replace Deuce we a championship contender not going to play rookies also Pacome is the guy they will hold onto and develop in g league for a few years same as they did with deuce

Yo l love what Precious did for us but he got abused by Siakim after OG went out Precious is at best is a third option at C or/and PF

No, they’re doing due diligence that’s why they keep a large amount of centers to be a possible trade. If Precious does a sign and trade and a few picks go in order to lock up a young center (Kessler, Duran, Richards) or a vet (Lopez, Carter, etc) the Knicks will have options
No way you’re talking about Precious at the 5 while trying to contend for a chip. He couldn’t even guard Siakim in the post. He definitely can’t guard Embiid or Porzingis. You should be advocating for NY to trade McBride because a backup C is significantly more important because Mitch has durability concerns. McBride is a luxury now that NY has Bridges, DDV, Hart, & Payne.
Best options may end up being, resign Precious, bring in Skapartzev and keep Jericho. Also utilize Ariel. That's 24 Fouls and they all bring something to add with Mitch

Would hurt to lose McBride and seems like Cam is not slotted for many rotation minutes at all barring injury. Wouldn't mind seeing Kolek in a Deuce type roll similar to his rookie and 2nd year outings. Just want the center position shored up already so I can wait for the regular season to start in relative peace. 😂
