[Ary] Christian Koloko, who’s been recovering from a blood clot issue, started the NBA Fitness to Play panel last week, his agent Calvin Andrews told me. They’ve discovered the problem, and Koloko’s been recovering for the past three months after the corrective surgery, I’m told.

Fantastic news that they discovered the problem. Really hope he gets cleared and can play again.

We can’t ignore the reality that he could absolutely not come back the same player after going through all that but I also don’t give a shit and will root for him wholeheartedly the entire time.

Great news for this kid! Hope he is able to get back on the court… hopefully for us!!!

It’s great news and I hope he signs with us again.

With that said, I’m not sure how much basketball he has played over the past year, so I question if he can be a factor this year.

Christian needs a few months of conditioning followed by sometime in the G-League. Perhaps he can play in the NBA again towards the end of the season if all goes well.

What a roller coaster READING about this kid has been. Imagine what must be going through his head. If he can ever play NBA ball, at any level, it will be epic. I hope it happens, regardless for which team.

You want to go back to Europe? Now’s your chance to take a buyout.

Omg that’s such great news, to have gone through this at such a young age can be really trying on one’s mental health. I hope he can return to the NBA, whether it be with the Raptors or not. He always seemed like a great guy and I hope nothing but the best for him!

  8. It’s definitely a low risk move to take a shot at him. He’s shown flashes. If it doesn’t pan out it’s not gonna set the team behind or anything. I root for him, I think he’s promising.

I’m so happy for him. I hope he gets cleared to play in the NBA soon. It would be great if the Raptors could re sign him, but him just being able to play professionally again would be great.

Glad they caught the problem, wish him the best of luck to get cleared

it’s good news but beyond playing basketball going on flights is a risk for people with history of clotting issues. and the nba is like a lot of flights. i’m sure his doctors are aware of this but it’s definitely a risk to sign him. if he can still play at the same level though it’s probably worth a shot.
