Spurs Needs For Potential Trade

Spurs have been linked to potential trades from Lauri Markkanen to unloading Keldon Johnson for a better need and upgrade. With Victor Wembanyama on the roster and the versatility he provides a big man either at the forward or center spot maybe the best choice.

  1. I think Spurs should target Robert Williams. Very good defensive big. Portland just drafted Clingan and they have Ayton. Williams would be a great fit.

  2. I dont know how you can be that low on Jeremy Sochan, he is only 21 years old and already one of the best deffenders in the league and it will only get better, that next to wemby is an elite rim protection. Offensively is more of a process, he is already a great cutter and the 3 pointer although is not great yet, it is improving rapidly. A lot of his doubters come from the period of time when he was used as a PG, not his position nor it was ever expected to be, it was just a move to develop his playmaking skills and to put him in uncomfortable situations so, when he needs to create a play for others from his PF spot, he is able to; it was also on a semi-tanking/developing year in which Wemby was on a minutes restriction and the main core was very young and undeveloped, winning a lot of games was never the objective.

If Castle pans out and we get a decent defending wing on these upcoming drafts, the deffensive side will be scary for the rest of the league, and as the core develops offensively, that side wont let down either. Jeremy is a key peice in this team already and going forward, not a trade asset and most likely not a bench player either. He will start next season and he will likely continue to start down the line.

I agree that a big man can be one of the best spots to reinforce when trading KJ but for the backup role for the minutes without Wemby, which was one of the weakest points of our deffense last year, moving Wemby to the 4 is not the best move either as he struggled there last season and he started to shine once he moved to the 5 and was able to display his rim protection skills. Plus, the stat that you saw about bronny and Wemby both being 210lb is not true, that was Wembys weight before this season, on october he was weighted at 230lb and he has gotten bigger since, I actually dont think he will put much more weight on nor I think it would be good due to his height and playstile, too much weight can only imply less speed, less explosiveness, less agility and more injuries; granted he would be better at the post but the aspects that differenciate him from the rest of the players are the formerly mentioned, and its not like he got bullied last season, he was great and he has put muscle since then.

  3. Ingram can replace Keldon. Trade him for Cam Johnson or Anaferee (sp?) Simons in Portland. See Zack Lowe's comment.

  4. Lauri Markk is out of the picture. Utah is either going to extend him or lose him for nothing like Paul George in the Clippers.

  5. I like Kessler, but Danny Ainge is a jerk. As for Sochan, he will be better than Bruce Bowen. IDK if he'll be as good as Rodman or Draymond Green, but Sochan fits well with VW and the Spurs culture.

  6. They are all good additions for us.
But I still prefer Magic's Wendell Carter Jr. to them.

After drafting Castle & signed Barnes,
we aren't so weak at wing position.
Put KJ on the bench for 2ed unit will way better than before.

    Let's move on from Zach.

  7. Trade for kawhi Leonard …. Clippers are trash they’re not going anywhere I would trade vesssell and keldon and 2 first rounds for kawhi .. and maybe even zubac? Clippers need to rebuild

  8. Wemby should definitely not play as PF. We can see it with France again. When playing with Gobert (who is not the worst center to play with), his global presence is not so dominant on the game (surely because it brings more defenders in the paint).
Will a trade be favorable for the Spurs this year ? Would it be smart for the Spurs to wait next year and a very loaded free agency to recruit smart ?
Why no chasing Markannen next year at the free agency ? (this guy is not obliged to resign with Utah as he is UFA)

  9. Yeah yeah yeah. Everything what you speak is irrelevant. Mark my word. You will see after trade window
