The Ja’Kobe & Ulrich show in Vegas – TOR@SAS Post Game Live

The undermanned Toronto Raptors square off against the San Antonio Spurs in their final summer league game. Gradey Dick, Jonathan Mogbo, Javon Freeman-Liberty and Ochai Agbagi are all out, which means a lot more Jamison Battle, Ja’Kobe Walter, deeper bench guys, and of course.. our guy, Ulrich Chomche.

While the game was not close, an encouraging game by Walters and a VERY DOMINANT FOURTH by Ulrich Chomche made this absolutely worth the watch. Exciting stuff!

  1. Ulrich has Bill Russell like qualities. The whole organization is going to be pulling for this guy. The fact that he was a farmer who played soccer sold me.

  2. Do you think Scottie will ever get to the point where he is a fully lights out highly volume shooter like 9 attempts a game 40 percent that would be insane

  3. If Chomche thrives in G-league next season, looks like an NBA player, showcases elite shot blocking, transition monster, & expands his game, with his 3 point shot being good enough & he becomes a solid 75% FT shooter.

With an age 19 Chomche averaging 14-8-3 on 50/34/75 splits with 1 steal, 2 blocks in G-league.

Where does a 19 year old, more polished Chomche if he were being drafted in a repeat of this weaker 2023 draft go.

Does he go top 10, is there possibilty he goes top 5?

If you only have the 5th pick, who do you pass up for a more polished 19 year old Chomche.

  4. Its always about balance. Give another the same amount of time you'd give yourself to make a point. It's correspondence, find the point in which you both blend. Silence is fine, its inspiring when used correctly. I needed to hear the end of this live myself. I appreciate you

  5. There’s a possibility he can grow as tall and Edey and if that’s the case and he’s still as quick as he is now with the ability to handle the ball even better than he can now then it’s scary hours for the league if he actually pans out. The thing is we have a lot of fans that can’t actually see potential in players like this. They look at it like show me your full ability now or you’re a waste of a pick. This guy is an academy talent that’s showing these type of flashes in his first season as a pro at the age of 18. You have to put it in hockey terms for some people to understand. Imagine a young kid playing Hockey in some elite academy somewhere in Europe. Never played hockey in high school, never played hockey in college and he’s now on the Toronto Marles. He’s a defenseman dancing with the puck around players that played at all those levels but loses the puck at times, he’s making the right passes but just hitting the puck too hard, or he’s carrying the puck around players from one end of the ice to the other end but missing the target on the shot.. That’s flashes of what he can become with game time and actual minutes playing professionally, and you’re hoping with experience from playing professional games in the G league he can put it all together. I don’t think some people understand the team he was playing for in Africa is a training center.

  6. I’d prefer Grady with the starting five. He’s got more experience and will get more wide open looks with the starters. I’d give walker a slight edge in creating his on shot. Gonna need that with the 2nd unit.

  7. I appreciate the highlight breakdown of Ulrich. I only watched highlights of this game and those I saw didn't even include his block and coast to coast dunk, even though it was probably the most impressive moment for any player in the game. Also, I'm fully onboard everyone checking out more games of the 905 instead of the overpriced tickets for the Raptors at the ACC.
