Bulls beat reporter Joe Cowley on the Zach LaVine trade rumors
“According to an NBA source attending Summer League play, not only does Arturas Karnisovas wants to trade guard Zach LaVine because of the three years and $138 million left on his contract, but also because he is concerned the distrust LaVine has with the front office — and specifically with coach Billy Donovan — might lead to a ‘dysfunctional’ locker room. When LaVine and Donovan have been asked about their icy relationship the last few seasons, both have downplayed just how bad it is, maintaining public professionalism throughout. But the source said a key buffer between the two, especially as far as LaVine is concerned, was veteran forward DeMar DeRozan. With DeRozan now with the Kings after a sign-and-trade, that buffer is gone.”

Lakers do not want him, and the bulls don't have roster stops to take on multiple players back in a trade.Stop putting the trade with multiple players. He will be a Bull next year.
In the beginning of this Zach debate, I disagreed with you. After this video, my mind has changed. Why risk another injury, by keeping LaVine. Hell, Donovan and Zach could be gone from this team within this season, or before next season. I like the Hawks trade. I don't trust P Will staying healthy. Gabe Vincent has injury issues. See Red..

The issue with the first trade for the Lakers, getting someone like Kessler, is LeBron can't play the 3 anymore.
10 years ago, forsure, bron was probably the best combo of a SF/PF.
Now, he can't chase over the top of screens and whatnot, that would be required from playing the 3.
Lakers need 2 super athletic players at the 2-3 that can cover the defensive flaws of Bron's old age.
Like the nuggets series… Rui was thrown under the bus for Lebrons shortcomings.
Rui is suppose to play the 4, but because LeBron is still there, rui has to play the 3.
He got cooked trying to chase around MPJ. And then they put Rui on Jokic 😂 as well.
I'd like to see Davis play the 4 while they have another center on the field, similar to how he's playing at these Olympic pre-matches, where Bam is out there with AD, but like I said, they don't want to run LeBron at the 3.

As a pistons fan I understand the pain but you gotta lower your return in these trades Drummond was our center for 10 years an all star double double machine but had limitations and we got a 2nd rd pick and expiring contracts for him. Broke my heart but he was hurting our rebuild. he had a year and half left on his deal which he was over payed. Now you have strict apron rules and have a guy who right now isn’t worth his contract could he rebound sure but every Patrick says he wants to move him at all cost because like every team in the nba nobody wants Lavine on their team next year if he gets hurt again.

The Bulls should keep Zach for as long as it takes to find a decent trade deal. There is no way the Bulls should attach draft picks in a Zach LaVine trade. There is no way the Bulls won't receive a starting-level player in return for Zach. Be patient, follow the plan, and bring Zach off of the bench until traded.
